@arup Kanti ji, Yes, that was SDBurman. Singer’s voice has to be perfect on the day of recording. The lyrics have to be sweet sounding. The instruments should be minimum so that they don't dominate the singer’s voice. Being an excellent singer himself, Dada knew how to get the best out of his singers. @madico For lyrics you may have to give part credit to the composer S.D. Burman. In one of his published interviews Anand Bakshi has said that ‘Ishq Par Zor Nahin’ (1970) was his first film with S. D. Burman. He took out an old poem that he had written during his days with the Indian Army. The poem was, ‘Yeh dil diwana hai’, and read it out to Dada Burman, after listening to which Dada agreed to work with him. The original poem had ‘Yeh dil diwana hai’ only once, and it was Dada who added the rest in the mukhda, ‘Dil to diwana hai’, ‘Diwana dil hai yeh’, etc. Aradhana was next.
