Ashley you did an amazing job on your pantry and it looks beautiful! Nothing ever has to be perfect and like you said, as you live there you will move things around probably a few times as you use things in your new house. I love it and your videos are so inspiring!! ❤❤❤
Hi, Ashley! A gramma here, OK? I'd like to share a couple of tricks I've learned over the (many) years of moving and re-arranging. The storage systems are great if the budget allows. And they don't need to be purchased all at once. Make a plan, and speak to immediate needs first, then add additional items over time. One very helpful consideration is to have an inventory for your pantry. Consider the items used the most frequently, then less frequently and so on. Based upon the available linear feet of storage, map out what you will place on the shelves and where (linear feet is the actual length (also depth - if your shelves are 12 inches deep, you could probably make two rows, instead of only one) of your existing pantry space). I make an inventory list that speaks to what I need and how frequently I purchase things. For example, I bake bread, so I will always need 6 cups of flour, twice a week. That's about one, 5# bag of flour a week. If I baked cookies, or cupcakes every week, I would add that to the necessary amount of flour on the shelf. Once you have the general "map" for the pantry developed, consider the storage format; boxes in which the food product is provided by the manufacturer, bottles/jars/cans or bags. Boxed foods, cans, bottles, are easier to store, bags are the items that usually need some type of container to control haphazard arrangement. Small items also seem to require containers as well. An important fact issue is whether food items are vulnerable to infestation by insects. Such things do require an airtight container (NO open bags of flour or sugar on the shelf, clip or not!!) Next, note the height of your shelves (the distance between shelves). Taking the shelf that has the instant mashed potatoes and pancake mix as an example; if you place the mashed potato box flat on its back and stack all the way to the shelf immediately above, you will find you can typically add more boxes of potatoes (if you want, that is). Next place the pancake mix in the same manner. You will find this frees up more shelf space for other items and eliminates so much "dead space"(unused space) in your pantry. Lastly, items that you've purchased for emergency preparations store elsewhere (such as your utility room (where the washer/dryer are). Save the pantry for everyday items and locate long-term storage in another area within the house. And when it comes to long-term food items, take a look at emergency preparedness websites that have foodstuffs that can be stored for up to 25 years. You have a great deal of storage capacity in the new house and really need a plan, and yes, a professional organizer to help you maximize what you have, and perhaps suggest to you other ways to ADD (yes!) additional storage! Organizing our "stuff" is definitely a "first world" problem, but it is a lovely problem to have and we should be the best custodians of that privilege as possible! With affection from an aging gramma :)
Pantry looks great! I would put flour/sugar in sealed containers as others have suggested to keep it fresh and bug free. The flour bag that is opened I would store in a container in the refridgerator.
Love it! Going to do mine now!! I would suggest putting flour and sugar in clear sealed containers, it’ll be less mess when you use them and there will be less color in your pantry
Hi Ashley!🥳. It looks AMAZING! I LOVE IT!❤ Since you had extra bins perhaps your flours and sugars can go in them as sometimes the bags leak out and get on the shelves…just an idea! It still looks GREAT! I love the pasta section! Nice and stocked!🤭😋🤣 The cubbies for your appliances are such a nice nice feature!👍
Ashley! You put so much pressure on yourself to get everything done & then get everything perfect as in have it be functional & aesthetically pleasing - which is fine. However, I know & as you said the more time you are living in your beautiful new home things will change naturally as you need it to so that things work smoothly. Once you know how that will be - you will make it look good! Don't get me wrong everything looks good now but I just don't want you to be so hard on yourself!! Lol! I know, I know you're a perfectionist & it comes with the territory!! That said, I think a few larger baskets for the pantry would be pretty to corral things like Savvy's extra baking supplies (at least the flour, sugar etc) The natural color & texture of a few baskets would bring some nice warmth into the space! Just a thought. 🌻🏵🌺💕
I love organizing so for me I would put the baking stuff on the back shelfs and cooking and snack on the sides. My rationale for that is that cooking and snacks are the majority go to in my home and with the baking you can have that stuff in clear jars etc that look nice so if the door is open you’ll see that. When I started my pantry in our new home it was such a challenge cuz they built the smallest pantry which didn’t make sense to me. I don’t like seeing a lot of different brand packages so I used a lot of clear containers and for other stuff I used baskets with labels.
Ashley I think you did an excellent job on your pantry. But I think I know what's getting you is the colorful bag's that the flour and sugar are in. Maybe if you put them into a sealed clear container that might help you out some. But I think that you did a fantastic job on your pantry. Now I'm going to go do mine 🤪. Wish me luck. Tfs. And I hope that you have a spectacular weekend. I can't wait to see your daughter's room and see how she did her room. If she's like you, I bet that her room looks awesome. Love ya hun 😘. Laura 🎉.
I like to put the lazy susans in the corners where the side and back walls meet. I feel like it makes the best use of the space. I love this kind of video! Well done, Ashley!!
What a blessing to have a pantry. You made it look beautiful as always. I watched your 3 hour organize video 2 Saturdays ago and last night i reorganized my kitchen for hours my family is so lost in the kitchen now.😂 I love it. Just wish i had more room. Hope to see you soon! Would enjoy a few videos including you and Savannah baking from scratch.
Love how it turned out- so satisfying!😍👏🏼I totally understand why you didn’t use some of the plastic organizers; but I like to use them also to keep the shelves clean. Examples: sometimes an opened syrup bottle could become sticky on the bottom & an open flour bag could get messy underneath etc. Just my humble opinion.
Happy Sunday my sweet friend!! 💕👏🏻☀️ Absolutely perfect!!! This house has been such a joy to watch be transformed in a home . You ALWAYS blow us away with your organization I love it! Have a wonderful week my friend
Happy Sunday Karol! I’m so happy you have enjoyed being on this new home journey with us! Can’t wait for all the new updates and projects ahead of us! So happy to finally share the pantry organization too. Have a great week friend!
You need a pretty bread box and bigger containers for your flour and sugar maybe the one’s you put the s’mores stuff in, so you don’t have overflow/ unopened bags. Great organizing, funny that your new house is pretty exactly like your old one. 😊
I follow Grid and glam. She is a professor organizer with a team. She has a membership. Also their in person team travels to jobs. Looks great. I haven't touched my pantry since we moved a year ago and I need too. Lol.
I love all the organization you did in the pantry! Everything looks so nice, clean and very organized! You have some great tips and tricks! Thanks for sharing!!! Love your pantry!!! 😊
I love how everything turned out just like in your last pantry because I like keeping everything in original packaging to have expiration dates. The only thing I would change is use one of the home Edit containers to store the flour and sugar so it doesn’t dirty your shelves.
Ashley the pantry looks perfect! I wish we had one, but thankfully, we have tons of cabinets. I just told my husband, while watching your video, "I need to reorganize my cabinets". LOL I like to have all my flour and sugars in those really good clear containers, I think you have some of those with the top that you press to seal it. Were those square marshmallows I saw??? I've never seen those before, how cute are those! lol You did a great job, thank you for sharing!❤
I know exactly what you mean about getting stuck while organizing a space. The kitchen is one of those areas for me. The only solution would be custom made spaces (and that’s not happening any time soon)! 😊 Love your new home.
I love this I like to organize every thing and have every thing in a place , you gave me so many ideas what to redo my pantry I like that you added a area for your small appliances I for sure need some thing like that
Hi Ash! I'm catching up with your videos! Moving is youtube influencer gold isn't it? 😂 I have you on while im cleaning! You always motivate me! Love you! 💜💜💜
Watching you organize the rooms in your house calms, relaxes and inspires me! I also love watching George and Tiger wander around as you are working, they are so adorably cute!
I think it turned out beautifully. The only thing I would personally change is the sugar. Is it just me that buys sugar and some of it sprinkles out of the bag even when new? I would definitely put the sugar and flour into bins.
Hola. Great motivation. I worked on my pantry for a few weeks & it had held up nicely. I'm so surprised. I'm excited for the home tour. TFS have a great week.
Your pantry looks really nice. I have just started an organization company I do pantrys linen closets cupboards camper and RV organization and closets. I think you should use all of your clear bins in your pantry because if you put every thing in them you never have to worry about your shelfs getting dirty you just have to dust them off. And I think it looks way nicer with the clear bins . love your new home and your videos. keep up the good work.
Yesss!!! I love this pantry organization. We have the same grocery items 😊 we love pasta so much!!! With the mashed potatoes we would swap out the water for milk, it makes creamier. Same thing for pancake mix, we don’t use water always milk and we leave it for 5mins, it will rise slightly making it thicker ☺️
Love your pantry organization. ❤Your smart by removing the bins if you don’t need them and utilizing them for something else. Keep at it until it feels right, only you all know what works for your family.
Hey Ashley! OMG! 2020 got my husband with the paper products. LOL! So glad we have a Costco membership. 😂😂😂 I love the shelving in your pantry and how you organized it! 👏🏾😍
I'd definitely put the sugar in an airtight container and the unopened pks in a clear bin . I've also noticed thet many put their tins along the risers , where I'd work in a downward way, so that you can see each item and how many of each at a glance instead of the other kinds hiding them if thst makes sense,.
I love how the bosses show up to investigate what’s going on and are you doing it right? I just love your boys! And I am 1000% in agreements with you I love the beautiful brand to I don’t have as many of them as you do but I do love them Amanda Black and the reason why I really like them is my last name begins with a B.😂😂😂 I’m not sure that in your house there’s such thing as perfect. You get the edge to switch way too much in order for it to be perfect but as far as looking absolutely beautiful and gorgeous and organized yes, I believe you will get there! You have a beautiful home even when it’s somewhat of a mess. You still have a beautiful home.❤
The flour needs to be kept in a container once you open it or the bugs will get to it. It also goes bad faster if you leave it in the bag. Those OXO pop top containers are great for that. I remember how overwhelmed I was when we moved and it was time to organize the pantry. I did the same thing as you, just shoved all the pantry items in and figured I'd get to it later. Unpacking is brutal
Ashley love it 🥰 I have a large pantry too and with that dead space on the top shelves I decorated super cute with my aesthetic. It gives such an amazing presentation. My neighbor happened to walk by and my windows were open and she said “ your pantry is #lifegoals lol ! Anyway hope this helps!
Just a suggestion one side do all breakfast the other area all lunch and supper and the other area snacks and baking. Hope it helps but ur doing an awesome job. U inspired me to redo my laundry room to work for me and my kitchen area also. Now I love it more. Thank u for all ur videos enjoy watch them. Have a bless day!
We just completed a pantry makeover a few months ago, replacing wire shelving with custom wooden ones. We have white square wooden boxes on caster wheels that my SIL built to go on the floor under shelves . These hold canned items we buy in bulk, bags of chips, partially opened bags of baking ingredients, etc. We also have a decorative bread box and several lazy Susan’s for condiments.
I have a pantry and use seal tight containers for my pasta and cereal, oatmeal and pancake mix, and flour and sugar. Looks amazing and very functional. Can goods alike (like you did). You sure do have lots of room...
Love your videos so very much Ashley. You and your husband make a beautiful couple. It is so charming to see him help you so much and take the time to be careful and detailed. May I suggest that you put the oils and flour or other packing that might leak in storage containers because I always seem to have leakage problems with paper packages and oil drippage. Your pantry is beautiful and I don't want to see you have to find someting to clean up oil stains or other staining that could be avoided.
Wow u prob need about 40 more see through containers sugar etc.. idk flour Amazon has good deals! Or jars those big clear ones mason jars 😊lovely home!!

Hey you said you hardly cook. With that huge kitchen and pantry what do you do for the 21 meals per week?
When I use the can holder rack p like to put the same item on all three tiers so you see three tiers of corn, three tiers of green beans etc.
I can’t wait to see how you decorate the new house for Christmas, Thanksgiving and the rest of the holidays.
Same! 🙋🏻♀️🤍

You get the edge to switch way too much in order for it to be perfect but as far as looking absolutely beautiful and gorgeous and organized yes, I believe you will get there! You have a beautiful home even when it’s somewhat of a mess. You still have a beautiful home.❤
Looks beautiful ❤
I think you did a great job myself!!! Looks good!!!
Turned out Gorgeous!!!!
Thank you!

Good morning Ashley...a lot of work, but a wonderful result.... I hope that after all this work, you will enjoy a beautiful and enjoyable summer 🤗
Good morning! Yes, it’s starting to slow down so I have been enjoying myself!
Looks great. Love watching
Thank you Ashley 😊
Love how the pantry turned out...I'm going to have check ur video on no pantry...in need of ideas cause I don't have 1
Good morning Ashley. Enjoying your video. Your home is so beautiful.
Good morning! Thank you tons!
That’s a great idea, thank you!
That turned out beautifully! It was so fun watching the process.
Love your pantry Ashley. Great job !! You must be a virgo like me 🙂 I like everything clean and organized..love the clear organizer bins.
Thank you! 🤗 I’m a scorpio but close!
Like it in bins better
Awesome!
You have a huge fan here in Adelaide Australia...love your beautiful new house.😊❤
Thanks so much! 😊
That sounds like a great setup!
ALWAYS WATCHING FROM PHILIPPINES🇵🇭❤️❤️❤️
Thank you!
I have a pantry and use seal tight containers for my pasta and cereal, oatmeal and pancake mix, and flour and sugar. Looks amazing and very functional. Can goods alike (like you did). You sure do have lots of room...
The pantry looks great. I just have a cabinet pantry, but hey I did reorganize it a few months back.
I’m looking forward to your decorating videos.
It’s always nice getting your space organized. Thanks for watching!
Looks great..organized well!
Happy Sunday 🎉🎉
