I am 69 years old, and I never had a junk drawer. I am extremely neat and organized in my home. I have never put anything in my bed side tables. I have a place for everything so if I need an item I go to that area. All tools are in the garage in the workbench. I wash my epoxy garage floor every 7 weeks after I take everything out which is not much. After decluttering and have numerus garage sales I do not want to bring a lot in my home now. I have made over 55000 dollars in garage sales minus the donations. Yes, that much. I love home decor but now at my age I have everything that I need or want. It is so nice that you have less. Most of the item's land in the landfill.
I have never had a junk drawer either … smallish home and raised 4 children here and everything has a home and I hate clutter . I have always cleaned my home top to bottom every couple of days and it doesn’t take long because I don’t have stuff everywhere . It’s just junk that as you say ends up in landfill .
I pulled out my oven and deep cleaned the floors and surrounding walls. I think it’s your music that motivates me to clean while I watch/listen to your vids.

I’m the same way when it comes to blankets can never have too many i especially love throw blankets I prefer sleeping with them every night instead of a quilt or heavier blanket. Also, I have my meds by my table too by my bed so it’s good and ready to have for the next morning to take. During the recent Prime Days event, based on your recommendation, I purchased the Beckham pillows and I am now on a mission to replace all of my pillows (most especially the ones that are long overdue to be tossed) with only these amazing pillows. These videos always motivate me to delcutter if not at least clean so I really appreciate you for them. You're right about how an organized, or at the very least clean, space makes one feel better. I absolutely love organization videos and seeing inside others cabinets 🤗 The double bin for medicines is a great idea! I'm going to put that on my wishlist.
I just organized my side of the bed and table. I put a nice wicker divider in the top floor for my chapstick, melatonin, phone charger. To miscellaneous items. The bottom drawer has two heating pads. I love them. I'm with you. I love to organize and do it all the time. Thanks for the video❤

These are my absolute favorite videos, they really motivate me. I just recently cleaned my makeup drawer out and got rid of half of it stuff was old but I hated to part with it . ❤😊
I love watching your videos and you have inspired me so much on a lot of things inside my own home. I just wish I had as much energy as you do. Lol! Idea for your nail polish is to put all nail items in a stylish (white of course) lol! Travel Case. That way it's all together and no Color jumping out. Extra nail polish and hair items, donate to the nursing home. Elder ladies like them. 😊

I don't know about my area but when we remodeled the kitchen in 2010 I didn't do a junk drawer and I don't miss it. I have a computer room with a desk for those things.

Very motivating!! I love that hand held vac (bought at your recommendation) so powerful for being so little. I like to keep a back up for all cosmetics as well. And LOL I have a heating pad and Tylenol in my bedside table. Love a good declutter and organize video.

I have a Eufy hand held little vacuum too and use it every day in my kitchen. Love it! We keep a foldable step ladder in every closet to safely get to high shelf items. I know it is a hassle to unfold the ladder, but better than breaking a bone.
Hi Ashley, I love all of your videos! I have been decluttering for months now. I feel like I am spinning my tires because my husband is a hoarder. He doesn't want to get rid of anything. It is me that is getting rid of my belongings. It is very depressing.

@Ashley, buy some noodles, cut them and use them to keep your plastic bins from moving in your drawers. It drives me crazy when the containers move.

I would get deeper boxes for nail polishes and for spare toiletries so you only see them when you need to. Might help feel less overwhelming visually.
