  • Опубликовано: 16 авг 2024
  • Welcome to my brand new show called Restoration Roulette! In this show I have to fully restore a classic car and get it sold, there's a catch..... I don't know what car it's going to be and I only get a month to do it! Can it be one? What car am I going to get? Watch and find out. Spoiler it's a VW Beach Buggy
If you picked a classic car what would it be? Would you keep it standard or make it fast, loud and fun? Let me know in the comments.....
As always if you can leave a cheeky like and subscribe that would be mint!

Great idea for a series and kudos for going through with it. Looks like the seller shafted you but, on the bright side, you can do something about it; it could have been some poor noob buying it who would quickly get out of their depth.

"Resale red" is always a smart choice for when the margins are tight...
So the classic candy over gold (or silver) metalic is better than the black.
Only exception might be if you were going for a more murdered out agro-buggy with black rims etc, then red over the black would make more sense.
But cheap n cheerful is prolly the way to go here! Good luck boys!

    Talking about falsely advertising!
That thing, though cool from a distance, is completely knackered!
    You've been taken hard!
Though the seller didn't know that, he has been very, very lucky that you made the rule that you *had* to buy it!
    1500 max.

Really love the content. I love the restoration of the 60's 70s and 80s cars as those are the cars that were around when I was a child. If you could import these cars from South Africa, you would make a killing as compared to what they are going for in the UK, they are at least 75% cheaper here in SA. If you get them inland they are virtually rust free.

Is that a "dual-port" engine? We had one in our '71 Microbus and it cracked the head of the #3 cylinder (left front, like yours) every 20,000 miles. We put on a bigger oil cooler, added larger cooling scoops to the body and changed the carb jetting. Nothing helped. Every 20,000 no matter how it was tuned or driven, the head cracked. Our Technical Editor (we worked for a magazine) said that just about all the early dual-port heads had that problem. It was assumed that it was caused by the #3 cyclinder which runs hotter than the rest and it having too thin a casting. Good luck with yours.
