These prices for homes in Ghana are completely RIDICULOUS! Most Diasporans who want to return home will NEVER be able to afford these extremely marked up properties. $115K is more realistic. They didn't spend any more than $60K to build this place.
who are we to determine the market? it is about demand. I think Diasporans are wrong when we expect the prices to be lower when want to live in the middle of everything. The prices that you speak about are out in the mountains or outside of the main city.
@@jefferythompsonGRYTman - - the understanding of the market demand that these developers have, is delusional. The prices that I speak of are directly relevant to a developing country with significant infrastructure issues and a general employer base that is not delivering a median income proportionate to the asking price. Eighty-five percent of Ghanaians cannot afford these homes. Most of the homes will remain empty due to an African perception that Black people in America, UK, etc etc have the same amount of money as their white counterparts that live abroad. It’s madness. We are are now on the verge of a global housing crisis.
@ Goodall thank you ! you are so right they don't spend even 60k with such huge profit margin Its ridiculous. Look at youtube if you dont believe Goodall people who have genuinely built houses and posted the prices
Ppl complaining about the prices in the comments are only complaining because its Africa. If it was Europe, they'll say it's a steal. In America, these home would be 500k at minimum She said everything except for the square footage. Square footage is another factor when justifying the price
In determining the price of houses, you need to also consider what kind of businesses or jobs can make that amount. You can't easily make two hundred thousand dollars in Ghana annually. In the US you can easily make $500k so prices like that are justifiable. If you want to know how much $200k can get you in Africa, then check the mansions in South Africa and you will marvel. SA houses makes this look like a joke.
properties in ghana are way overpriced. There is nothing special about cantonments ... they also experience light outs. ... get your own land and build and stop wasting money on these over priced projects

@@jefferythompsonGRYTman - it doesn’t take rocket science to do a market assessment of properties in our motherland. We are still developing, with many infrastructure issues (roads, lights, water, sewage, internet, etc etc), plus the lack of high paying employers near these overpriced empty homes, etc etc. You cannot possibly be serious to think that Ghana homes can successfully command the same price as American homes. Most Americans (especially Black) cannot afford the price of a home in America. The only thing Ghanaian developers are doing when they price homes like this (many - not all - with poorly designed floor plans) is making it nearly impossible for Black Diasporans to come home to the land of their ancestors and help make it better.

Hello sister! you are very articulate. Your choice of carefully use adjectives is phenomenal. l have watched a lot of real estate agents showcasing homes, but your take and the flare with which you show homes is breathtaking. You are natural and unique. keep up the good work!

Where? Do you see the property prices in the states these days? I've been trying to buy a house for two years now, lol. I've offered up to 30k over asking, and I'm still being outbid. If I had family in Ghana, I'd buy this right now, lol.
@@chigasaki06 The difference is in the US you will have 30 years to pay, in Ghana you're expected to pay all at once or within a year. So its soo much more expensive than the US.
usually very good angles that allow us to get a sense for the space in the homes you tour. w/ this however, I didn't get that. there was more of a focus on you. yea you're cute n all but I came for houses lol.

Couldn't have said it any better. A LOT of these houses are empty, or are on AirBnB
At these prices, I will be forced to stay in America.

Overpriced houses all over in Accra. People are too greedy
Because building materials are expensive and loans from banks interest rates are high too
