Very good video. Thanks. I would add one thing .. If the brake squeal persists, as it has on mine, check the caliper guide pins. I found it on another video and plan on doing that on mine. My car continues to squeak despite new pads, rotors, and plenty of lube applied to the pads and contact points for the caliper. If this doesn't work, I'm going to put toyota calipers on this thing lol.
That little square tool you have has the right part on it that fits your piston, but theyre the smallest ones on the whole tool and mine broke right off!
Aren't the notches on the piston supposed to be lined up perpendicularly with the gap in the caliper? Seems the piston was turned a little beyond that point. Am I mistaken?
I just did all 4 pads and rotors. Although I really didn't need too and probably used cheaper rotors than the originals but oh well. I turned and turned the piston and finally had to go rent the proper tool from autozone because it never would go in. Also, the first one I did, I'm not sure if I lined up the little groove with the bump in the pad. Do I need to pull it all apart to check?
Never take advice from a shade tree mechanic. You have to have the proper tool to do the job right. Anyway you are correct you have to have the right tool to do this job right.

Thanks for posting the video
never let the caliper hang from the brake hose and just by the brake piston tool befor the job they do not cost alot and there everywhere
I can’t get the piston back in. It’s moved a little and I can’t go more and I mean I’m strong so I don’t think that’s the issue

Thanks my dude
hey would it be bad if i pushed the caliper all the way in?
I don't think that it would matter because it will come back out when you step on the brakes. Make sure to test the brakes before you drive it.
Best ive seen informative and quickly done. Great
Probably not. If the caliper is okay, it will likely recover once everything is in.
no

I've been trying to thread it and it's not working
I did exactly this and my rear tires are now smoking, and the rims are super hot to the touch. What could have caused this?..
what caused it?
use a C clamp to compress
Mine wont screw in
Won’t work you have to turn and push piston at the same time not just turn

Doesnt work
