The relationship of the father with the pension and the mother's lover boyfriend is so weird. That whole situation of the four of them is beyond dysfunctional. I feel really bad for the young man. I hope the mother and the young man can keep it together.

I wish you were in Detroit Michigan I was in an abusive relationship for 12 years and I finally got the courage to leave but when I did he threw all my clothes and everything I owned in the trash now I am homeless and have nothing but at least I'm not getting beat on
There are women's organizations with shelters. They also provide counseling, clothing, meals and help to find work.
Internet will have forms to fill out for FIA. Library will have free computers.
Call 211 and ask who you can contact for every area of help you need.
I am in Michigan so I understand what help is available.

I am in the UK so I can't do anything very helpful - wish I could. There is so much kindness out there - you just haven't experienced it but you will. You matter and you will make friends and one day you may be helping others too. For now, just look after you til things are straighter.

@@Tryagain563 Not like this. Mostly it's organizations and they only do certain things and no further. It's not so individualized like the way Sergei helps people. I know from personal experience. I'm disabled and need lots of home repairs and nobody where I live does that for free. My SSDI is not enough to pay for it either.

But there are plenty of individuals doing good for those who need ot in the states. I live in New Zealand and am 73, in poor health, rent an old place, live solely on social security, have needs of repairs snd other help, but I still believe there are people willing to help. I dont know how to find them either, and I doubt I'd ever ask, bit I've seen individuals on RUclips in the USA who do yard cleanups and transform them totally; I've seen man building tiny homes for free for homeless, others who buy groceries etc. What's wrong with organizations who help people anyway? There are many churches in USA plus Compassion Ministries, etc, who love to help folk in need.
I don't think there's a "Sergei" for every person in need in Russia, probably very few.
Appearingly, the old couple tried their best to live in such really tough condition,. When tragedy happened, nobody could smiled at it and easily pass through it, bless them all well with good health.
Work like this gives hope to all people, even across borders. Good people with bad leaders must change the world so that the poor and needy may be served, not power and greed.
