Great job! Solar panel on roof with lithium battery. Diesel heater to keep warm. Possible pull small trailer with your outdoor gear for more room. Nice work!
I just bought a SUV tent. It will give me a wonderful place to hangout without getting eaten by bugs. Plus a god sent during rain. I really like your set up. Enjoy and be safe. ☮️💚
Put a rack on top of the car with a Thule cargo box to increase our storage capacity. Put in a thermoelectric cooler to store your food to keep it cold or keep it warm in the winter.
Been watching you for a while. You have dragged her into some sketchy stuff and she's still there with you. Cudos on the upgrade! I wish you many more awesome journeys!
Looks good, life is all about doing the best with what you've got. They make car tents. So you can add one that attaches to the back if you choose, swing out awnings, shower systems that mount to the roof. So as long as you have a solid foundation to work with. Your options are there....to get out and enjoy life on your terms. Good for you both
Love it. Gives me some ideas, and I always love seeing you and Joelle working together. She has endured all you have thrown her way and there she is...still there. Keepah! Keep up the great work you two.
FYI - planning to screw an Ipad mount into the plastic roof piece at the back, and have a Portable battery stored near to the rear 12v power outlet. I also traced the outline of the car interior so I was able to shape the platform to match the odd curvature inside. Cut a mattress topper to size and used some simple reflective material for the window blinds. I ran a LED light string from one of the 'roof handles' on the passenger side around the whole edge of the roof, using velcro tape to secure it. I purchased an 'awning side tent' which I connect to the extended awning when the car is parked. This gives me an extra 2.5m x 2m room where I can do cooking, working, whatever. I keep the tent piece, chairs and table all stored in a roof box. Also plenty of space for things like boots, hiking gear, backpacks, etc. My build is much simpler than yours without the sliding drawers, I also have an extra wooden panel which I rest on the front armrest. With the front seats pushed forward i get a bed which is 190cm x 135cm. Comfortably fits two. Under the platform, I just use plastic storage boxes. I also have opted to keep the middle seats in my Outlander, so I don't have the same amount of storage space as you guys. Anything I can't fit just gets dumped in the roof box.
That'll be fun 👍🏻 I've built a lot of drawers like that and I started using vinyl edge banding for bottom drawer edge for almost zero friction. Loved it
Get some door nets, that slip over your back doors, they work great- keeps bugs out, and air flow is good. Looks good my man- looks like Chester can't wait. 😉
Contact Jackery and see if they would sponsor a video. Then you could have a battery pack that can be recharged solar for any electronic equipment. It's small and portable that can run just about anything..
Nicely done! If the drawer becomes harder to slide in the future, a bit of paste wax on the wood will make it even more smooth to slide. They sell them at most major hardware stores for around $12 here in the US.
Looking good, Chester might be worried that there will be no room for him :)! Throw the mattress in it and take it out for an overnight to see/confirm how to continue the build maybe?
A proper camping tarp with the loops and tie off points at key locations and a adjustable pole set for the rear end a canopy area. then you'll have to experiment on the best way to set that up
Wow likeing this thanks to her smart handy dad !! . Big help indeed nice shop to disel heater panel or panels on roof . For chargering !! Let the good times roll Sumner in 2 weeks !!!.thanks again to u both .have a blessed weekend
Your SUV looks exactly like mine but it's a 2013. I want to do something similar with mine. Is there anything you would add or do differently? Doesn't look like a lot of room inside, for head space. How do you find it? Hope you have lots of great adventures with yours, cheers!
Not much room left once you put a mattress on there, you'll be so close to the ceiling of the car, can you even roll over? Otherwise, great job. It's interesting to see all the different ideas out there.
I have a 2011 outlander and this right here has definitely given me more of a reason to love this vehicle. Do you have any tips on dimensions or choice of wood used? Thank you in advance.
You will need privacy screens for when you go to sleep. Dollarama in Canada or Dollar Tree in the USA sell the sunblock screen ....buy what you need and cut it to size. Buy black tape and cover the side facing out. Don't use fabric....very ghetto. The boyfriend is hot 🔥 😍
Mitsubishi, Japan, was a war crimes company. Same goes for BMW. The difference between the two is to reflect and ask for forgiveness. Mitsubishi has no remorse, let alone compensation. Products of such war crimes companies should not be used.

Nice to see you trying something new!! I'm looking forward for the camper vids.
Very fortunate to have her father's skill set and shop.

I know this is an older Video. I gave a Mitsubishi outlander and am researching car camping. Good Ole Dad saved the day. He did an awesome job.
Proper workshop is an understatement. That workshop is awesome. Very well done.

Thanks JJ!
Wow Mio did fantastic work. I hope you put a ring on that young lady. She and her dad are fantastic

Awesome to see an Outlander conversion. I have a 09 model which i also converted. Have an awning attached too which works great

Those can make for nice campers. Didn't know they had a liftgate and hatchback. Anyway Mio is an excellent carpenter
That'll be fun 👍🏻

Excellent video! For storage, remember you also have a roof rack to use. Lots of space on the roof!😊

You are so blessed.
the best thing about this is that you can always turn around and go home.
Love from Greece!
A Projector! Tyvm for videos
Looking forward to see your next video 👍
Very talented at carpentry
Waiting!!!!
I’m very interested in how Mio did the low friction slide design for the huge ‘drawer’ on the passenger side. I’d really like more details please

Just wondering, where is your dog going to sleep? Very nice build, your dad is a great craftsman!

Hi i have a mitsubishi outlander and im about to do the same project as you and i would really like to know the exact dimensions that you used
Nice
did you have any problems with the electronics by removing the rear seats? they seem to have electronic parts for the seat belts and airbags
New sub ! Liked 👍❤️✌️😀😀
Wow
How do you deal with the dog? I have 2 and would have to take them along.
Diesel heater for when it’s cold
i guess that could be handy when she's -30 out lol
Como les puedo enviar un video algo parecido a lo que están asiendo en su auto para que tengan otra idea
Could've just gotten a roof tent and saved a lot of space
Its claustrophobic, very short high to sleep to me.
The distance to the ceiling of the car is too small, there is not enough air for a comfortable sleep
Bhai thumbnail me likha Karo Jo video me dikhtae ho
Dude how much does it weight.
not that much, I would guess 150 lbs max
@@AdamStew that’s not to bad. Nice set uo
期待
Someone else turned my suv to camper.

Can't see how the draw will not have sliding issues long term.
i.e expansion/ contraction of wood.
Can I get a chance to hang out with you too?
need a little louder
Hahah sorry came all this way to tell you that’s not a car
How lucky are you to have that girl. Whenever I get close to any woman all I find is pure evil.
You're not alone lol
