Nice to meet you. I am a camp in Korea. You did the hard work yourself. Nice flattening, nice enough to hit the subbed box. Good job. I hope you will continue to upload good videos. Thank you.
Thank you for watching, I checked out your setup and I really like your stove / cooking pot. Have fun out there, keep posting, we want to follow your journey!
This is brilliant.. what type of SUV do you have if I may ask.. I am going to do something like this with my Highlander.. I like the water shut off valve idea to prevent leaks
Sorry for the delay, the SUV is a 2013 Mazda CX9, we loved that vehicle put over 300k miles on it! The valve was a decent after thought but fyi it decreased the water pressure out of the faucet.
Great job!! What a good design looks roomy and confortable. Have a question, did you remove the back seats before to put the plywood estructure. Thanks for the answer
Hi! It was roomy we didn't feel cramped or anything. I did not remove the back seats, just folded them down as much as possible and removed the headrest to give more floor space. Let us know how your project went. I might do some upgrades for this year's road trip, so stay tuned! Thanks for watching! -Jeff
Sorry for the delay in responding. Unfortunately I don't have the measurements written down anymore. My measurements started off with exact numbers but as I created the template with cardboard I made adjustments. When using cardboard consider that is more flexible so you have to double it up to get the closer feel for the plywood. Ps. we have the cx9 so I think think is a little bit larger. Thank you for watching, share your finish product would love to see it. --Jeff
I don't have the actual measument, but the clearance was just fine, I'm 6' and did not feel stuffed, was able to move around fairly well and never hit my head, lol
We keep the cooler with the food in the back seat and move it to the front seat when we convert the bed at night and during the day camping we set in the tailgate with the ecoflow.
Have watched dozens of videos and your set up has the most efficient use of space for short term camping. Shamelessly copying you idea!🤣 Gracias a ambos!✌🏻
Thank you for the kind words, and most definitely let us know how it turns out. It is still serving a purpose for us right now, because the back half slides down and becomes a shelf for the back. We don't use the third seats so the space becomes more efficient and useful. Gracias por visitarnos! ❤
Beautiful set up for a beautiful couple 🤗🤗
Thanks for watching, you are so kind!
Thank you for the suggestions!
Thank you for watching, glad you found it useful! :-)
What a great, clever build! Very neat and clean looking, but comfortable, too! 👍
Thanks for the comment, we appreciate it and had a great time out there.
Really like your sink set up.
Thanks, I became fascinated with having an operating kitchen. There are a lot of options out there, but $$$$$.
That a great idea, nice bed and a ot of storage. I'll try it, definitely. Love to both of you.

Do you have the specs of your bed design? I have a 2016 cx5 and I would like to build your design.

How was the sleeping height? I have a cx9 and want to do the same but worried it'd be too short with the mattress
I don't have the actual measument, but the clearance was just fine, I'm 6' and did not feel stuffed, was able to move around fairly well and never hit my head, lol
Where's the cooler/ fridge and all the food??
We keep the cooler with the food in the back seat and move it to the front seat when we convert the bed at night and during the day camping we set in the tailgate with the ecoflow.
