You have the best training tips on RUclips. I watch hundreds and yours are the best and I'm a coach as well and I think your tips are spot on. Thank you so much for doing this. You do a true service for pickleball players that is extremely valuable and appreciated. Excellent job!
This belongs to the second wave of pickleball instruction, along with Cincola and pickleburner. It's a superb clip, but it's not the only game in town. What makes this clip so important is that even as a low intermediate player, you can begin to form the habit of finding that position while dinking with your leg behind the paddle and your paddle tip down, _long_ before you even begin to train yourself on the aggressive wrist rotation, with the precise timing and strength required. Wish I had known this two years ago when I was still a low intermediate.
I'm rated as a 4.5 level player and really appreciate your tips and drills. They've given me some insight on how to get to that next level (feels impossible to make the jump). I've been watching your videos for a while now and you can clearly see some improvement in your smoothness and technique. Keep it up and maybe see you on the courts one day!
This is one of my best shots already and I 100% agree with everything you talked about, you should talk about the off the bounce speedup on the 2 handed backhand, (another of my favorite shots) since it takes advantage of the same principle of holding the ball on the paddle and looking like your gonna dink cross court till the last second when you speed up down the line at the body or middle.
Thank you. Without articulation and breaking it down I was doing speed ups with top spin but now I am sure I will be more consistent and will know when to do it.
Bro I will be honest, your short content popping up on my IG used to make me cringe - but having actually watched many of your longer format videos... they are INCREDIBLY HELPFUL. Keep up the great job, helpful resources.
Well done Tanner!!! Truly admire your passion towards the game and more so how you consistently make videos to share your learnings. I watch all your videos to improve my technique. Can't thank you enough for being a virtual coach and an inspiration. God bless!!
Your specific and concise tips both explained and demonstrated are really helpful as a hard working and quickly improving student and excellent player.
Excellent video! Does the ball really top spin fast enough to cut down and stay in the court? I’m afraid I will be sailing the ball long. Loved the content. I will drill with my partner based on your suggestion drilling techniques.
Love your vides and shorts. I'm learning so much from you. Can you create something that is about recovering from extended play, rec or competitive, in order to prevent injury and to recover quickly? Thanks.
Hi Tanner, thanks so much for your really thoughtful videos. Would you be willing to make a longer-form video, like this one, but about counters? I can't figure out how to practice them and really improve, because I'm not sure what I should be thinking about other than "anticipate the speed up and have my paddle ready"
QUESTION: when speeding up low, don’t you risk hitting them all out? Or is it going to go for a body bag? Any tips on not hitting out balls that are sped up? Maybe a video idea???
You have the most ORIGINAL tips out of all pickleball contents. I really appreciate you sharing them with us.
Glad you like them!
