I only noticed it in this video, but your paddle spinning techniques outside of the game are fun to watch! Wish I can spin the paddle that comfortably in my hands lol
Hey Guys, I'm going deep into the brine on this one. Tanner you made a couple of comments that got me thinking (a miracle in itself) about something I've never heard discussed but maybe I missed. A doubles pickleball point has a a first "section" which covers shots before the teams reach neutral, assuming they get there. This section includes the serve, return, 3rd, and so on until neutral. As Tanner noted, most points at mid and lower levels don't reach 5 shots, and never reach neutral. The second "section" is all that happens if and when the teams get to neutral. While more skilled players will see neutral more frequentlly, one thing is absolutely clear, every point has that first section. As a result, shouldn't mastering the shots played in the pre-neutral section be paramount to any other skills? My head has now exploded.
Great way to look at it Barry! I totally agree with this! Yes, especially with players that struggle to improve, their main focus should be on the shots that will get them to that kitchen line.. For example, drops, and resets!
You guys should do a 4.0-4.49 camp/clinic somewhere warm/tropical in April. Los Barilles, Mexico just opened a second pickleball resort where they host clinics/camps. Fly into Cabo, 45-minute shuttle up the coast and you're in scenic Los Barilles. 🌴🌞
You're both amazing individual instructors. Getting a packaged lesson from both of you is our black Friday surprise. Good luck in your next tournament!
love all your videos, but this one is even better than most! I'm a 4.0 guy trying to get better, and I don't have all the time in the world like the younger kids (I'm 45). So these shorter, quick tips/drill sessions are great for me
