I was inspired by a video put out by Joel Telling - 3d Printing Nerd - to got the videos going again. I have been out fishing a lot enjoying the Minnesota summer and thought this Bass Statue would be quite fitting.

The "scales & texture" really came out nice with that filament. A fish-ologist wouldn't be fooled of course, the digital-fish look is really neat. Perhaps you could hang 'em on the summer-themed mobile you make this long winter. 608 bearings, solar-powered LEDs,... :)
You don't owe us anything, it's *still* your place :D
...I do like nature and travel videos though... no substitute for being there, but you do miss the mosquitoes and flat tires.
It's good to see you're doing well, and I look forward to what you come up with!
Amazing print.
Wow, those look awesome!
Wow. The Bass look fantastic! I love the way the infill shows through - it really adds, in my opinion. I’ve also had good luck with the MakerGeeks translucent. Very pretty.
Nice that is a sweet looking model. nicely done
I think the infill looks good with the fish scale look. It's about time you made another video you've been slacking hard. We're going to let it go this time but let's tighten it up LOL. Thanks for sharing have a great day. God bless
Great to see you back!
Welcome back, print looks good enjoy removing the supports😁
looking good. hope to see more this winter. take care
I will be ramping up the videos for sure.. very hard to do them in the summer :) its sooo short up here.
Glad you're back! Hope you have your snow shovels handy 😂😁
I haven't been able to get up to northern MN much since I came back to Nebraska, maybe every three or four years. When we lived up there we'd go up North all the time. My father in law's family had a house up in the iron range where they'd hunt in the fall, and we'd go up to Duluth and the parts North of there like gooseberry falls for fishing in spring. Lots of fun!
Anyway, great video. It would be fun to see some of the adventures you went on, and you should bring your experiences with that second Prusa up too! Looking forward to your winter video schedule so far! 😁😁😁
Have you ever tried printing a litophane? There are some on thingiverse but basically you can print any photo in just one color and as the light shines trough you can see the photo beatifully! Absolutely recommend printing at least one :)
Hello! Yes I have done some lithopanes.. they are very cool for sure. I have one in a video; but its buried someplace lol
Nice Print, Welcome Back on YT 😜
You said you have one of the originals Prusa's, have you done any of the updated parts and test them? The Prusa i3 mk3 I bought came with the R2 parts I was waiting on the textured sheet to release but then said screw it and changed my order to get the printer otherwise I'd likely have the same parts you have (and would likely still be waiting for those plates even though I ordered it at the beginning of the year).
I have not updated any of the parts.. for now I am fine with the results. I haven't seen anything yet that will make me rebuild. If I have to rebuild at some point; I will likely print replacement parts at that time.
