I was the first subscriber to the new channel "The Yard Geek". I feel pretty proud about that. I have been following your channels for some years now and enjoy the content. I support your work, your channels and your product lines. I am happy to see your success. You've sure planned and executed all of this very well. Congratulations on a new channel and more subscribers.
Thanks for the video Mitch great job on Ruby and if you want to keep the motor running good change the oil every 5k as it will save the turbos and timming system, this is from a FORD tech. Take care of yourself and family and be Blessed ❤️❤️.
It was very funny but I thought we should ask detailing related questions... I hope you don't mind me asking but please consider making a Q&A video focusing on such questions... if you have the time 🖤😎
Almost finished detailing my first car (I'm 16, bought the car for $1500, fixed the mechanical issues). It looks great. I think the value is around $4500 now! It's so worth it to have a clean car. It never ceases to amaze me how people can live with the cars that they bring to you. I know I'm going to be an absolute geek when it comes to cleaning my car (pun sorta intended I guess?). Your videos are really in-depth and fun to watch. Thanks for being you!
Way to go bud the world needs more teens like you willing to put the work and time in. Keep it up and as life goes on you’ll be able to buy vehicles that won’t break your back trust me most of us have gone through it 👍
Hi! I'm from Russia, I don't know how you feel about this, but I've been watching you for 2-3 years, and I really like how you make glitter out of dirt! All the best to you and your channel!
This video was so entertaining to watch as we got to see more of your personality shine through; the sass there at the end was hilarious. More Q & A videos please. Ruby looks great as always!
Q & A s are fun. I like the stance of the Raptor and appreciated the front shot segment. The way you answered cleaning the truck bed and the ASMR questions was neat. You are a talented man, thanks for making great content.
Would you ever consider being the instructor at a detailing seminar/workshop in other Canadian provinces or in the USA and starting a Detail Geek franchise tailored of course after your business, naturally using Detail Geek brand cleaning supplies and merchandise??
If he answers this I bet it will be a no. The minute he attaches his name to someone else’s work he risks a lot. Few are as meticulous as he is and when you can’t guarantee the outcome you can typically count on the perfectionist to be out!
I think this is the first time I see you wiping down the door jams. I had some "mobile detail" people come clean my truck and they did a horrible job. I pointed out how they left the door jams all dirty and they said that it was all the pressure washer could do. I rubbed my finger on the dirt and told them, "a little scrubbing would have done the job just fine". They didn't want to put in any elbow grease. They figured the pressure washer should do all the work.
It was so cool seeing some of my questions actually in the video! More Q&A’s would be fun! I cannot wait for you to start uploading to theyarkgeek! I’m sure they’re going to be some awesome videos! Excited to see the transformation overtime
The transformation of that 2019 Ford Raptor was incredible and it's amazing how dedicated you are to your craft. I also enjoyed the Q&A session, it's cool to learn more about you beyond detailing. Keep up the awesome work Mitch!!
I love watching your content. I'm passionate about cleaning vehicles as well. I feel like I can never get them clean enough though as I'm worried about scratching and swirling the paint. What do you do to get the hard to remove dirt, bugs etc on the bottom panels, fenders, and stuff kicked up from the wheels? Also, after foaming, do you use the 2 bucket method for hand washing? Do you rinse out your brushes etc in a bucket? I'm not sure that you've ever shown that side of it. Lastly, what do you do to prevent scratches and swirls while hand washing? Thank you!! And keep up the great content
I have a question for you, when people leave items like a drill that’s filthy in their car, do you clean it or put it in a plastic bag to go back in the car when your done? Also, does it ever annoy you when people leave mounds of personal items in cars before the detail?
I still remember years ago when someone asked what your dream car was, and the way your eyes lit up when you said a Raptor. And then later on in the channel you got your Raptor. You deserve it, Geek. Everything you’ve accomplished. 🥹
Ruby looks great. Thanks for the giving us an insight of who you are and what you would be doing if not doing detailing; but, I mostly see you in a band.
The Ruby Raptor looks so good and I remembered back when my dads friend was looking to buy an F-150, I kind of talked him into getting a Ford Raptor and so that was what he got
I also put wheel and tire cleaner in a former. I'll try yours next. I like to dry my car with a leaf blower as well. The ceramic coating on Ruby is still looking good. I use your graphene sealant and that really lasts. I have to say 303 on exterior plastics doesn't like rain. Beautiful detail as always.
I have a question: will you ever detail old cars/have you ever detailed an old car? And a second one if you feel like answering two: what’s the oldest car you’ve detailed?
That's a nice looking truck!! Thank you for all the videos, they are definitely fun to watch! I am getting into detailing myself and I'm wondering, what is the most important thing to remember about detailing a vehicle?
Q........mitch when you were planning the garage did you consider recucling the water ? we have too save money where we can ? Im glad to hear you strengthened the rafters for solar, start a bit at a time.
Watching this to psych myself up before tackling my car this weekend, one of millions of cars in the UK to have been hit by Saharan sand dust this week. 😥
I think it's pretty neat how your new tire dressing has a blue hue to it, indicating it is water based. As a vehicle painter waterborne basecoats do the EXACT same thing, then look normal once dry! I would like to see a few more Q&A videos Mitch! Keep up the amazing work!!
Great as always! 1) Why did the tire shine turn blue when you sprayed it on the Raptor tires? 2) Do any of your detail cl8ents ever purchase any of your cleaning products after they have had their vehicle detailed? Thanks again!
Another great video Mitch but I do have a detail question, what is the best way to get rid of window streaks from rolling your windows down? I've tried everything and cannot seem to remove them and living in an area with hard water, car washing isn't going to work. Do you have a regiment to remove hard water stains from windows? Thanks a bunch and keep posting videos, this is my Friday morning fix!
Annette, if you are close to a Walmart go to the camping dept and look for the in-line water filters that hook up to your outside water spigot, screw it directly to the inlet side and screw the hose to the outlet side. You won't even need to dry your car off with towels, I've been using this method for years, especially when I had well water then when I got hooked up on city water, it was just as bad with water spots so I just kept on using the water filters, they work great!!! 🙂👍👍
First off let me say I enjoy your videos, they are top-notch! 2nd Forgive me for asking is Mike you playing a part? I have only been watching a short time and have never seen the two of you next to each other in the same frame.
Very cool to see you detail your own truck Mitch i can see you care about Ruby but you can actually allow her to get dirty😊 She is beautiful all cleaned up
Mike is such a giggle. As far as I know you haven't posted on your new channel yet, so he is just watching the trailer 😆😆 I really liked the new format for the Q&A, as I've missed the members questions since you stopped doing them
I've been watching for years and one of my biggest question is how do you stay motivated... after some of the disasters you have cleaned, especially your repeat customers, it would deter me from continuing.
What do you normally charge price wise for detailing cars? Also does the price come down to the level of dirtiness of a car? I’d totally love this question to get answered in the next Q&A video Mr. Mitch aka Detail Geek 😄😅. Thanks 😊
That was fun amd awesome! Question: do you not wax cars? I noticed you used a ceramic spray coating. Does that now replace, like, turtle wax? Asking because i torture myself over this. I tried the ceramic coating on my car recently and loved it. Wax is hard for me; I'm short and it's exhausting after spending an hour or two on the wash.
Your brother is such a joy to see 😂😂😂. You have to love him. You always do good work on whatever vehicle you are detailing. Do you have any children? You have to take time for yourself. Take a week in the summer🏖️ and a week in the winter ❄️. You will burn out if you don't.
Well instead of trying to do an edit w/this dam frozen keyboard.🙃 I just 4got to say, I think he is 'the kid' or 'ManChild' w/ a bunch of toys and he does go on vacations.Hawaii/Maui.Arizona,British Columbia.Out of the 2 Mitch seems more Mature but Mike is the worst 'ManChild' of the 2. 😂🤣
I love how well you treat your vehicle! Some of these questions are a little silly and Jennifer, Mike is not a man of his word. I’m sorry for your loss. Anyways, good job on the truck and have a good weekend everyone!
Great Q&A session, top content as allways! I have a question for you. Will you make a new tour of the new shop? perhaps something like a tour after 1 or 2 years and give us your thoughts about what you like and dislike and what you feel you will improve in the future, or what you might would have made different. Keep up the good work brother and thank you!
Hey. I’m from Russia. I also am interested in detailing the car . I just wanted to say that I like your channel and what you do. I have seen almost all of your work. More dirty cars on the channel. Thank you for the excellent content 🤝
Watching the Yard Geek trailer almost daily in anticipation of new content. Love the Q&A, so yes, do more. I could comment on so many things in this video, but the last question settles it. BINGO! Edit: If you know, you know.
Really enjoyed that Q/A Mitch and as always loved the amazing job on that Raptor! Oh! and never put you down for a Curler as a Scot here we also love Curling! my hat is tipped!
I've gotta say Mitch that was one epic video from the q&a to detailing ruby getting her back all shiny clean and not to mention an appearance from Lord mike himself this video was awesome keep up all the hard work
16:11 hey Mitch, I'd like to say that there's this guy nicknamed Moog, from an Australian show you might know, Mighty Car Mods, who actually does that and even nastier things (sniffing whatever dirty things they found in the cars they purchase to mod, to say the very least and without giving that much of a spoiler), just for pure unadulterated immature fun. Whenever you have some downtime, you gotta check'em out, these 2 guys, Moog (Blair Joscelyne) and Marty (Martin Mulholland), are quite fun, and both like to build ... interesting old cars. You'll have fun watching them.
Do you clean the license plates before you place them back on the vehicle you clean? Also do you ever compare notes with other detailers from other blogs?
After watch for a couple of years, and knowing you're a perfectionist...do you find yourself rolling the cars forward or back to get that dirty square at the bottom?

Sounds like you and your car are starting out right. Care goes a long way toward longevity.

I really like the Q&A, it’s pretty cool because we get to know you better and your interest and stuff like that do more
One of the best yet...I prefer a matt finish on tires
Great light on the outro - really makes the glow stand out. 👍
Love seeing Ruby get shiny! I miss my Raptor, literally the best vehicle I've ever owned. Great video Mitch. 😊
I have a question: will you ever detail old cars/have you ever detailed an old car?
And a second one if you feel like answering two: what’s the oldest car you’ve detailed?
Always love your videos Mitch. I feel like I have been watching them for quite a few years. Thank you.
That was cool! 😊 Definitely liked that set up with the Q&A and would like to see another!
Fords hands down have the best carpets. I have 3 dogs and my 11 year old carpet still looks brand new.
That's a nice looking truck!! Thank you for all the videos, they are definitely fun to watch! I am getting into detailing myself and I'm wondering, what is the most important thing to remember about detailing a vehicle?

I love Ruby, when Lord Mike doesn't take it out for the weekend and fill it with party stuff .. ok, I actually do like that too.
Great idea! Love the new format. Please do it more often.

I’d love to see you detail my rusty 2008 Corolla. Not particularly messy but I’d love to see it come back to life.
I've been watching for years and one of my biggest question is how do you stay motivated... after some of the disasters you have cleaned, especially your repeat customers, it would deter me from continuing.

🤣 I'll have to soldier on without my $20. Thanks for the support botdog, and you have an awesone weekend as well!
That is the most pristine truck bed I've ever seen. Keep up the good work!
This man records himself washing cars...
and I freaking love it lol
I watched this video twice and I enjoyed it even more. Why 🤔? It’s relaxing. Thanks, Mitch! Love Love and Happy Happy! 💪💣❤️🔥
Question how often does Ruby get just a bath vs full detail?
If you are interested in a Raptor R, go buy it. 1) you can customize it's looks later, 2) I'm not sure how much longer Ford will build them.
Amazon has nice lockout kit. When I’m detailing always has that on the van. Because yes I locked keys for customer’s car once 😁😁
Great video Mitch! I just subscribed to Yard Geek. I cant wait to see whats to come. 😊
Hey. I’m from Russia. I also am interested in detailing the car . I just wanted to say that I like your channel and what you do. I have seen almost all of your work.
More dirty cars on the channel. Thank you for the excellent content 🤝
Ruby shines like a new jewel🎉
Love watching your videos! You do amazing work!
With all the details you do throughout a given week, how do you determine what vehicles' details get made into videos?
Love the Q and A. Great video.
Awesome work I love the before and after ?? Do you have the link for the wand extension ?? Ty
I really enjoyed this video. I've often wondered, how often you get to clean Ruby.

😊, another great video Mitch 👋. always love your videos on auto Care.
I've gotta say Mitch that was one epic video from the q&a to detailing ruby getting her back all shiny clean and not to mention an appearance from Lord mike himself this video was awesome keep up all the hard work
Ruby’s rockin
Would love more Q and A
Great video, the truck looks great as always. Gotta love the off the wall questions 🙄 otherwise quite informative. Keep up the great work
I figured after that plug for the Yard Geek we would have seen your brother in the video here actually helping you dry the truck 😂
Can you do a video showing your steps to clean really dirty glass. Both inside and out?
Do you clean the shop floor after every detail? Also, who is your favorite musical artist, past or present? Or multiple favorites?
How do you learn to polish correct and don't make a damage to the paint? Do you take lessons from someone?
What do you use to "dress" your tires? Glad to see we do our bedcovers the same.
Hey man, I want to ask you. Do you put any protective product on the car door strips? All the best.
I'm curious if you do anything to the license plates to protect them. I use a spray wax on mine.
One thing I have always wondered is where did you get the extension wand? I haven't been able to find that particular one.
Do you clean the license plates before you place them back on the vehicle you clean? Also do you ever compare notes with other detailers from other blogs?
Bro you
such a brave Man 💪Because today I detail my Car it's very difficult process ufff 😣GOD bless you Good job brother ✌❤
You have to do another Q & A, that was cool!
I would love to do an interview if you had the time !
I loved the sass at the end. Great video Mitch.
Mitch Great Video!
What kind of Electric Power Washer you use?
Ruby is one fantastic looking vehicle. P.S. Buy Mike some Timbits and candy and he will come out to help you on the farm! I hope!
Ever plan on modifying the Raptor? It's pretty stout as is, but stock is boring; & doesn't say "this is mine"
I washed my new 2023 Kia Sorento SX Prestige today it’s a beautiful blue color and I used the leaf blower to dry it at the end 😂😂
Hi Mitch ❤ have a wonderful weekend 😊
Great Q&A Mitch, Ruby looking amazing again.
Glad you enjoyed it
My dream truck

Wow, Ruby looks fabulous 😊
Love the video and love the Raptors is so beautiful and does tires wow! We had a 2019 Perfomance Blue Raptor with the recaro package
Since you have almost all the chemicals you have designed on your own with your brand name. I'm so curious to know whether will you design Detail Geek interior or plastic protectant and degreaser. Hope you would answer my question one day. As always fantastic detailing of Ford Raptor. Still looks brand new 😃!!
No plans for now but maybe someday!
The new Raptors don't look bad. I personally think they look quite a bit like the previous ones
Thanks Mitch! 👊👍 Appreciate you my friend 🙏
