Hey Mitch! I just left my old job and detailing at a new dealership and having a pressure washer to clean doorjams have changed everything for me at work I appreciate learning all the tricks and techniques it’s making things a lot easier 💪🏾
I think that most car makers are cutting costs on those interiors, because they know most people don't maintain and care about their vehicles, so why spend the extra money.
@@ellogovna5407 You can thank politicians and central banks for printing currency out of thin air. If they used to put better materials it's because 1. Buyers cared more about the product and 2. Costs were way lower than today.
Totally agree, my 58 cadillac that my parent's bought in 1960 is definitely FAMILY. I was 1 year old then! Mom finally signed it over to me in 1982. If it was to get wrecked I would be INCONSOLABLE! The old girl is still going down the road, lifelong Southern California car has certainly played a role in its good shape, Its 65 years old now, I'm 64. We're growing old together!! Lol😊
Seems every truck has issues with tailgates and the plastic parts they use. Plastic parts don’t last in extreme cold climates. I’ve had both Ford and GM and nothing but tailgate issues. I miss when they built trucks like my 1973 Cheyenne pickup from years ago. I have been watching your videos and the detailing you do is awesome!!!
About parts quality: It's sad to realize that even cars and trucks have become so disposable. In the past week I have been told that two car makes will not be serviced by dealers if more than 10 years old. Buy, don't repair. Tech advancements are not always good. I do appreciate hearing your opinion on the vehicles you detail. Thanks for the info and teaching how to detail.
That's why you don't get your car repaired at a dealership. They charge out the wazoo and try to find ways to either make you pay more or buy a new car. You ask the trustworthy car guys (or gals) you know for a good independent mechanic they can recommend.
that's exactly true! there's a technical solution to it and I'm just waiting until some car company will come up with that. this might then pick up just like Tesla did. you don't purchase the car but the right to drive one and the maintenance is on the car manufacturer. sounds crazy, but it's not that wild. saves the owner from rip offs and from a careless built quality that someone else has to deal with. so, you'd pay a fixed monthly fee and that's then it! no surprises nothing down the road.
Mitch, I couldn't agree more about the quality of fords interior. I deep clean fords every month, a 21' escape and a '17 both have absolutely terrible carpets to clean.
Mitch, I just want you to know how thankful I am for your work and your RUclips videos. This is exactly what inspired me to start my own business at 11 years old. This was three years ago now I am running a pretty successful business in the central Missouri area once again thank you so much for the inspiration. Amazing! Just detailed a 2019 Ford Transit 350 XLT 15 passenger van. I follow your plan. It turned out really good. I guess you can't post pictures on here. But thanks for all of your advice, I follow it religiously. And use your products.
Sorry to hear about the quality of the new Ford truck. I have a 1999 Ranger and a 2012 Fusion. They are still great vehicles! My intention is to continue with Ford when these are finished. We have had such good luck over the years!!! 😊
Not sure if you have tried it but i found that with carpet wheel liners use a carpet cleaner after pre rinse and it works a treat. Hope it works for you if you try it yourself
Thanks to you, Mitch. I started detailing Golf Carts. I’ve done three cars and three different sets of patio furniture. My question is I watch you do some cars and I know you went from the Bissell to the mighty did it make that much of a difference to have the mighty after having the Bissell work for you so well
I worked on a farm for two Summers in High School. We had to clean the farm truck every week. Thanks for doing a great job on that Farm truck. God bless.
For a detailer who is not going to use an extractor, would you recommend pressure washing the door frames? My hesitation is that it will get the interior too wet. Thoughts!
Hey Mitch the wild fires are super crazy in Canada! I’m really sorry. it’s come all it’s way to Pennsylvania! So I’m experiencing it too, just not as bad.
End result is superb. When you end up pulling out so much stuff in the way of tools and other personal items from a vehicle, how do you return it to the owner? One big box or do you return smaller items to the door bins and console?
I guess that F-150 wasn't just a work truck; it was a mini food truck too. Great job to Mitch for working some magic on it! If only they could detail Ford's quality control too
Great job on the F150. Sorry to hear about the quality of the trucks nowadays. I have to say, though. I bought some of the bug remover and it really helped improve the looks of the front of both my truck and my wife's car. Great product Mitch!
My pet peeve as well. I paid for thing, so you need to pay me if you want me to advertise for your dealership. Lucky, mine was a car so I just had to take off the license plate frames. Literally took them off five minutes after it left the lot.
I know what u are feeling about the smoke it's always seems to be coming to my home state of Minnesota in the USA and as always Mitch you did a great job
Glad to hear you say that about ford. Out here in the uk fird is an acronym for Fix Or Repair Dailly, alternatively Found On Rubbish Dump! That for 150 is European quality and something that is normal and has been for decades for us. Ford is not seen as a quality or premium brand in the uk, probably Europe too, its very much a budget brand with a handful of models that try to appeal to premium brand buyers.
Ford dealer Technician here, I can 100% confirm the quality of the “new” trucks suck, we have so many of them coming back for trim concerns and radio screens not working etc.
It took me some time to get used to the grille headlights. I think the 23 superduty is hideous from the front. But your commentary is why I left General Motors the 15 truck with its two piece interior plastic door handle half plastichrome half black is rough on your fingers. The rust prone nature of the frames sent me to Ford. Kind of bums me out to hear a long time Ford guy say they got worse. 🤷🏻♂️
Yes, ford has already started putting in the cheap Velcro like carpet in the new 2023 f-150’s. It really sucks. Glad you got to detail one that still had decent quality carpet in it.
Once again, what a great job Mitch. I watch a lot of channels and you are so consistent every week, I can always count on your channel adding new content. Thanks for all your work!!!!
Another great job. I'm still waiting on getting my own crazy detail job like this. I just get normal dirty cars. Where I live no one drives on dirt roads and even the vehicles with kids seem to be cleaner so I haven't gotten a crazy transformation job yet. When cars aren't this dirty it doesn't show as well on camera sadly.
You have done an awesome job with that filthy car Mitch, especially considering it seems to have been manufactured with inferior materials, keep on truckin', cheers!!🥰👍👍💪
Oh lord, I remember shite carpeting like this when I used to work for a new car sales clean-up/deliver shop for the local dealerships. We'd also get in used vehicles to clean and prep for sale, and carpet like this was so common - so cheap that when you vacuum, seconds after the initial pass you can see pebbles and other debris pop back up - such low quality and they charge 40, 50, 60 K for these things..,. or more
I see what you're saying about Ford's interior quality but this is a lower trim and definitely made to be work truck, but the platinum and a few other top trims are lot nicer and have nicer materials😊
I miss your guitar playing. Great transformation! We've had smokey air too from the Canadian fires. Makes me feel badly for those closest to it. I hope they are extinguished soon. Stay safe.
We've looked at several Ford vehicles to consider buying over the years and always had the same opinion you've stated here. They just feel cheap and flimsy. Not what I want in a vehicle that I'm going to depend on. Great job as always on the detail though!
Love seeing you post! So question Mitch… how do you clean the headliner and the thin moonroof covers in vehicles? I’ve noticed some strange staining that must have come from the previous owner of my car and it’s driving me insane!
Friend had a 05 Mustang. What an engineering NIGHTMARE!! FULL pedal assembly had to come out to change clutch slave cylinder, 5/8 water hose UNDERNEATH the intake manifold with PLASTIC fittings WTH ????

How wonderful Mitch has everything phenomenon his job for 11 hours. The red truck improves much better, and the excellent glowing. Have an enjoyable summer and a wonderful weekend! ❤🎉😊

A lot of the quality issues come from trying to reduce weight and make build parts more “green”. Just buy an older higher quality vehicle and keep it maintained.
Beautiful Ford F-150 and I really like the color you did an amazing job on it Mitch stay safe and to everyone in Canada, my prayers go out to you all there and to the animals too. 🙏🏻🙏🏻☺☺

What an EPIC transformation on this F-150! The owner was absolutely stunned with how it turned out!
