You don't need to get more rice everytime. That's a waste because you can just wash the same rice up to 5 times before it stops to work.

I tried the rice water treatment maybe 2 years ago. And I tried it for one month also. My hair became SO STRONG and SUPER SHINY! I only fermented it for 24 hours and rather than using an expensive essential oil I used an orange peel, and NO ODOR. Because my hair was IMMEDIATELY more soft and shiny after one use I honestly didn't feel the need to continue using it (but did for only one month). It seemed to have a lasting effect after that month so I abandoned using it. My hair remains strong to this day. I will add that I do eat a healthy whole foods plant based diet as well. Hope this helps! 😊

Kim, I don't comment much on these videos (respectfully, everyone has something to say) but I am dropping in to say that I am absolutely, positively loving your blouse! And if I might add, you are wearing it well. I am a 54 yr old woman who follows your channel and of a truth, it's because I trust you and take you at your word. You've sold me on the rice water. On another note, I know you've heard it said over and over again and it's true; you really are a beautiful young lady who's poised with style and class. Keep up the good work and may God continue to bless you and the work of your hands. You are making a difference! ❤️
I did exactly what you did for the rice treatment and my hair grew 1 inch each section! I was so surprised so thank you for the video and detailed information on the rice treatment. My beginning measurements were: (front) 4.5 inches (side) 5.5 inches (back) 3.8 inches. In two weeks my measurements are: (front) 5.5 inches (side) 6.2 inches (back) 4.5 inches! Woo! Found another method I'm trying out by adding orange slices and letting it ferment for 2 weeks now. Hope it works!
@@Lauralee8008 same thing happened to me. Idk what it is, when my mom makes hers, it never grows mold and she’s had it for months. I made mines the same way and started growing mold in 2 weeks. I was thinking about adding a preservative
I think you did it wrong in someway cause some people leave it for a week and its normal and yao women (who came up with the method) even leave it for months.
I’ve used rice water for years and it stinks but it works!! It didn’t make my hair “grow” but it boosted length retention by 200%. My hair is sooooo strong compared to how it was before. So if it’s stronger it’s harder to break! I used to use brown rice more than white. I think it was a little bit stronger. I would keep it on my hair for as long as overnight and rinse it out the next day. Then deep condition my hair overnight. It was always a long wash day so I did rice water rinses like every two weeks as a protein treatment. It changed the strength of my hair A LOT! Everyone should at least try this but remember it has protein!! Don’t go crazy with it lol
Kee B I heard that for maximum results, black rice is best. I'm curious but I may start with white then brown. This review was so thorough, I'm really considering actually trying it this time. Thanks ladies!!👌🏽
Its gud just remember to balance the protein with moisture, please! And it can be used everyday as a leave in conditioner. I know cuz I put it to the test! No protein overload just alot of length retention & overall hair health is on point!🥰
Ok so i've done this two weeks in a row. But the second time, I'm so amazed by how different my hair is. Hair didn't shed as much but leaving the rice water in for 3 hours, plus conditioner for another hour actually straightened my hair, also my hair is soooo soft. amazing...
Hi everyone..today make 1 month and 1 week since using rice water and its really amazing...to the point..my hair is stronger, thicker and it has grown 3/4" at the front, 1/2" at the sides and a whopping 1" at the back...this is just incredible...thank you girl...I'll continue every other week as of now...🤗
@@sarahseidu5505 I did exactly what was done in the video so I'm not sure if you use it right away it would be effective....but there's always trial and error so you can give it a try and see if it works the same....let me know if you do
I love how in depth you were with your results. One thing to note is rice water does contain a high protein count so please be careful with how often you do it. Greenbeauty has an awesome video on her channel about the science of rice water you should check it out!!! Other than that I love how you gave actual results they do vary for each person. I haven't tried it because me and protein are not friends.
I've actually experienced every result you did! Maybe less hair growth but more than my typical! The biggest change I've seen is my hair is stronger, and less shedding as well! I do it about every 2 weeks! To help with the smell try putting an orange peel in the jar when you ferment. Makes a big difference!
Watched this a while ago. Just got around to actually doing it tonight. Similar to you, my natural hair immediately felt softer. And my scalp had been itching for a day or so. The rice water immediately stopped the itch. So that was immediately noticeable as well. When I washed the treatment out, my hair was not as tangled as usual. So now I am waiting for it to air dry. But so far. So good! Thanks Kim for always giving us the good good!
I think the rice water damaged some peoples hair because they used it completely wrong. Most people on RUclips are using it as a leave in treatment where as the Yao women used it to wash their hair only then rinsed out with spring water.
Correct, it's protein rich so you have to take that into consideration. I use it as a last step after I have shampooed and conditioned my hair, I leave it on for 30 minutes then rinse.
ahub87 yes girl. I literally just told my grandma about it and she is going to tell me “ you suppose to leave it in bri 😒” ... I’m like “ not for my low porousity Hair no no ! . Imagine applying a protein treatment in your hair often and never washing it out ??? They must be crazy 😂
I love rice water! I've been using it for over a year now. It not only works on hair, it is AMAZING on skin as well. I use it at night with a cotton ball on my face like toner on any blemish i may have and let it stay overnight and the next morning it's just about gone!! The minerals in rice water is a God-send because it's 100% natural and almost $Free... can't beat that!! It's a perfect staple regime if your on a natural hair journey and even if your not natural.
That Aussie and olive oil deep condition alone worked great on my 3 year old daughter's DRY brittle hair texture. After one treatment overnight I washed it out the next sunrise and it was much softer and much more manageable! I had watched so many videos I forgot I was supposed to do the rice water first lol but that conditioner treatment stuck out in my mind. I applied it to her washed and conditioned (rinsed out) hair.
This was actually the best review I've seen yet on rice water! When I say I have never, literally never comment on a video since I've had RUclips but I had to say that. I have been researching this for awhile now this was the best detailed with measured results!
Your hair has come a long way. I'm glad I was able to see where it's coming from to where it is now. I can't say the same for some of these other youtubers. The fact that you've tried the ricewater and your saying that it works I believe you and ill definitely try it.
Used the rice water before I did my protective style of box braids and I took them out today and noticed my hair shredded a lot but the growth is REAL grew two inches and it seems softer and curlier!! Girl yes!!!its only been three weeks
you can also try adding citrus peels, like grapefruit, and also try heating the rice water with the peels on the stove. it helps with the smell as well.
Have had a great experience with rice water I cut my hair 2 years ago I needed to for my ends in July 2018. 21/2 years later.....My hair is thicker, doesn't break off only a few tangles, it is longer and I definitely feel a huge improvement. I will continue using rice water forever lol. I love it and its such a huge blessing. I do suggest the fermenting process should be 1 day not 3 because that's where the odor builds up. I would say it should stay in your hair 30 mins to 3 hours is good. A day may be too long but that's perfect. It's fun watching the process.
I use rice water every month when I take down my hair. It does wonders just I don't want long hair just healthy hair 🥰🥰🥰🥰 forgot to say you are rocking that bun ❤❤❤
I was searching for a rice water review and I stumbled upon your channel, and I can freely say that I've never seen a more perfect and put together bun in my life 🥰🥰
If you are reading this just know that you are blessed. Amazing and beautiful don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I wish all your dreams would come true just as I want all my youtube dreams to come true thank you
I really like this review! it was very straight to the point and detailed. When I made my rice water I used orange peels to try and eliminate the odor, I boiled the orange peels with the rice water and left them in the jar while it fermented.. it honestly came out smelling similar to orange juice! I couldn't even smell a foul odor. I also kept mine in the refrigerator to keep the peels and rice water "fresh."
I wish I could post pictures on here but I haven’t done the rice water rinse since 2018. I had chopped my hair back to shoulder length and decided I would wash my hair every week for however long to see if it would help my hair grow. I was used to not washing my hair as much so I tried the rice water consistently every week or every two weeks for months into the winter. WHEN I TELL YALL, my hair was more manageable. It definitely helped to retain more length. My hair wasn’t as dry and brittle but I also incorporated a lot of moisture treatments as well. By that December, with rice water and my hair routine, my hair had grown to my below my bra strap. This, to this day, was the wildest hair growth I’ve ever seen on myself in my life. I’m not doing it now, only because I don’t have as much time for maintenance on my hair, but highly recommend. I used white rice, aunt Jackie’s curls and coils quench, the curl-la-la by aunt Jackie’s, wild hair growth oil and it worked well for me.
I have used rice water before but wasn't consistent, but when I did use it I noticed that my hair didn't shed as much when I detangled. I'm going to start this again and be consistent to see how my hair grows. Thanks Kim for the detailed video.
Orange and tangerine peels made my rice water smell Heavenly. I let the peels ferment into the rice water for 2 weeks then added rosemary + eucalyptus EOs with 1 TBSP of my homemade aloe vera oil
I love the fact that you get straight to the point. It can be very discouraging when you see these videos that the claim overnight growth! And we know that does not happen. Thank you so much for your Truth and Thank You for showing the evidence of how the rice water is working on your hair. I have good length but very thin hair, and I am on a hair journey to not only grow my hair but to thicken it and strengthen it. You are a beautiful young lady and thank you once again I believe I'm going to follow yours.
Just a tip for those who are low porosity or protein sensitive: because of the protein I only put the rice water on the scalp and the ends. The ends are higher in porosity. It helped. The first time I used this on my whole head my hair was hard and brittle. I've used it daily with massaging for 5 days with 2 days off in between (the weekend) two weeks. That's a total of 10 days. After applying, I balanced the protein with moisture (a leave in or Shea butter). My normal rate of growth is 1/4 inch per month. The rice water grew my hair 1/2 - 1 inch in 2 weeks. I've done this twice now in July and Aug. I'm blown away.

Yoo! Thank you so much! I was worried because this looks like an effective treatment, but wasn’t sure how to tweak it for my type of hair. My hair has also been reacting to a change in climate, so the dryness is not something I’m used to. Will definitely try now, thank you so much!
While some us watching this want nice, long, manageable hair we’ll be too lazy to do these simple steps🙄🤦🏾♀️ I appreciate your honesty. So many youtubers distort the truth to get views and subscribers. You’re so pretty to me. Beautiful smile and glowing skin.❤️
Good to see your video about rice water! The hype has been on RUclips for a while now! For me, I tried rice water on my natural hair and it benefits were amazing! I didn't see overnight growth but I noticed my my hair looked darker. For me that was a benefit
after I'm done fermenting the rice I cut up an aloe leaf and add about a half a shot glass of aloe sometimes a little bit more depending on how much rice water I make. It seems to help the smell for me. Just thought I'd share
Great video. I started my rice water journey back in May of this year after accidentally cutting a large section of my hair off (🤒) When I make mine, I put peppermint oil in it and I tell you it mask the smell 100%. I was a nay sayer at first but now, I'm a firm believer, it really works. My hair has grown so much, especially around my hairline where it was really sparse.
I had less hair shedding when I tried rice water treatment and some hair growth. I have heard that your hair porosity determines the frequency of how often you should use the rice water treatment. Thanks for your videos!
You're hair is beautiful. You was talking fast but your instructions are clear and easy to follow. I think your video on the use of rice water is the best I've seen so far, thanks for the review.
I am currently trying this rice water after watching a few reviews. Yours has been the most in depth I have come across. I only overnight my rice water and like you cut out adding the essential oil as it wasn't helping with the smell. I am doing every other week or so and was only keeping it on my hair for 15 minutes. I see the change in the shedding for sure. Length I am not totally sold on but it definitely feels healthier and thicker. One other draw back is to avoid getting it in your eyes....it will really burn and my eyes actually started swelling. Thanks for the video. Love your content!
Try orange essential oil to masque the sent. I’ve also use rice water for two months straight any more hair growth. It did make my hair stronger though.
I’m doing the rice treatment right now!! This year my hair was shedding so much and thinning. I hoping this works! I’ve also did aloe Vera and leaving that in my hair was night and day with one day of doing it!! Thank you for this info!!
Thank you for this very detailed explanation. I started this regime today. I’m going to leave mine in for two hours and a little less time on the conditioner because my hair is super fine and oily. I can’t wait to see the results. One tip I did watch awhile back was to add orange rind to your rice water after you get it into your glass jar with fresh water. If you are a few orange rinds and let it ferment at the same time it smells really good.
THANK YOU! This was right on time. I've been thinking about trying rice water and just stocked up on brown, Jasmine, and basmati rice for the fall/winter months. Your perfect, uncomplicated, straight to the point review was all I needed to give it a go!
i've seen so many rice water videos in the last year or so - but hearing this from you, now I'm actually motivated to try it. the benefit of a trust worthy brand.
Hi you should try the Organic Black Rice it is more beneficial for your hair then all the other rices and best of all its' not stinky like the white rice so give it a try if you give it a try you will be Happy you did. And your hair will be stronger it will be so soft and manageable and yes smell better it will grow ,..and the water is a dark purplelish color but your hair will not smell bad and you will get results from this Black Rice Organic rice good luck to happy growing ,
It was growing at the same rate it’s yet that the rice water strengthen your hair shaft which means less shedding. So you were retaining more of your length
I have the same results! I do it once(if i have time twice) a month and I get Stronger, softer, easier to manage , very minimal shedding and just overall healthier/juicier hair. And my hair is growing fast.Love it so far💜💜👏🏽👏🏽
@Sofia i use to do it i do work just get a jar put some rice i do white rice fill the jar with warm store over night in room temp not too cold for 24 hrs its gonna stink some people use orange peels i use a couple drops of peppermint oil to cut the smell i use to wash my hair once or twice a week with it for 6 months my hair was hella long a jar per wash leave in for like 20 then wash.
Awwww man I really want to try thus now after yesrs of being skeptical.. I've wanted to start my natural hair journey for a while now since I no longer want to wear extensions(no disrespect at all to those who do wear them) but I was scared to try. Watching this video makes me really want to get started asap. Thanks Kim
thank you soo much for explaining how long your hair normally grows AND how long it grew with the treatment! so many people who do videos about it claim growth but never tell how long it normally grows and it's just confusing! also your energy is lovely!
You should soak the rice water after washing it, drain it and boil it with orange or grapefruit skin and some oil (peppermint and/or lavender). It not only helps with the smell a lot more but adds to the nutrients.
I would like to offer caution that letting rice water ferment for 3 days can cause protein overload and cause your hair to break. That's not to say you can't use rice water after it has sat for 3 days. You can dilute it with water before applying to your hair and scalp.. Please be careful of how long you leave 3 day old fermented rice water in. You can do 24 hrs and still get good results. But most importantly do your research first before applying this treatment. I followed this rice water treatment method in this video exactly as she demonstrated and my hair broke off in the middle and on the right frontside. I have kept my hair extremely hydrated but that did not stop the breakage. So be careful ladies.
Other videos/sites states let rice ferment 1 day/over night. This is 1st that says let it ferment for 3 days, leave in up to 20 minutes (some says up to 1 hour). Also, I'd think her steps might be OK for women of color, but not for Caucasian hair. I'm gonna try it, but not lengths of time to ferment and leave in. I'll ferment roughly 8hrs (overnight) & leave in up to 20 minutes. Wish me luck!

Rice water is definitely a good thing, for me. I did several big chops. But last year, decided I was going to grow it back. Literally went from tapered, 1inch hair, to shoulder length. Haven't used it since I've had braids. Starting back this week though, braids out. To mask the smell use orange and lemon peels. Great video.

Hi! Did it work?!
do you have low porosity hair?
Doesn’t it go bad? I left mine ferment for 5 days and i found mold in it
@@Lauralee8008 same thing happened to me.
Whoever wakes up to YOU... What a blessing🥰👸🏾
Even yo' subscribers are all gorgeous, ladies enjoy y'all Sunday✌🏿

This is the type of positivity I love !!
Aww, what an amazing comment! Kim is beautiful and beauty recognize beauty 🥰
It's actually Sunday😂
happy Sunday to you too!
I was like, finallyyyyy someone who was super detailed and took us STEP by STEP! Beautiful hair!
Did you put oils or an orange peel to your water ? It doesn’t smell bad if you do that but it can smell horrible
Kee B
I heard that for maximum results, black rice is best.
@@nichelleloh6659 what do you mix it with and can you recommend a good moisturizing deep conditioner ?
@kee if I may suggest black rice is much better it does not smell and u can add essential oil and orange peel
Ok so i've done this two weeks in a row. But the second time, I'm so amazed by how different my hair is. Hair didn't shed as much but leaving the rice water in for 3 hours, plus conditioner for another hour actually straightened my hair, also my hair is soooo soft. amazing...
AG. I don't rinse my rice water out. I spray it in my hair every other day.
Hi everyone..today make 1 month and 1 week since using rice water and its really amazing...to the point..my hair is stronger, thicker and it has grown 3/4" at the front, 1/2" at the sides and a whopping 1" at the back...this is just incredible...thank you girl...I'll continue every other week as of now...🤗
Can I use the rice water right away?
@@sarahseidu5505 I did exactly what was done in the video so I'm not sure if you use it right away it would be effective....but there's always trial and error so you can give it a try and see if it works the same....let me know if you do
I just feel like I trust you. You are among the most reliable RUclipsr I know. 🤷🏽♀️
Thanks for this info!

Thanks for this info. My fine, hi porosity hair LOVES protein.
I've actually experienced every result you did! Maybe less hair growth but more than my typical! The biggest change I've seen is my hair is stronger, and less shedding as well! I do it about every 2 weeks! To help with the smell try putting an orange peel in the jar when you ferment. Makes a big difference!
Is it rice water and orange only or you add somthing???
Is it warm water or cold?
Rice water added a orange peel
Plz dear is it a must that it should be that hair treatment she showed us
Or any hair treatment of ur choice
She so thorough and systematic, I love watching from her. You learn so much!!
But so far. So good! Thanks Kim for always giving us the good good!
update?
Update? Lol❤
I think the rice water damaged some peoples hair because they used it completely wrong. Most people on RUclips are using it as a leave in treatment where as the Yao women used it to wash their hair only then rinsed out with spring water.
yayadrew good point!
Correct, it's protein rich so you have to take that into consideration. I use it as a last step after I have shampooed and conditioned my hair, I leave it on for 30 minutes then rinse.
People were leaving it on their hair?! 😮
ahub87 yes girl. I literally just told my grandma about it and she is going to tell me “ you suppose to leave it in bri 😒” ... I’m like “ not for my low porousity Hair no no ! . Imagine applying a protein treatment in your hair often and never washing it out ??? They must be crazy 😂
🙋♀️I use it as a leave in treatment for years and my hair is doing just fine
I love rice water! I've been using it for over a year now. It not only works on hair, it is AMAZING on skin as well. I use it at night with a cotton ball on my face like toner on any blemish i may have and let it stay overnight and the next morning it's just about gone!! The minerals in rice water is a God-send because it's 100% natural and almost $Free... can't beat that!! It's a perfect staple regime if your on a natural hair journey and even if your not natural.
Eimpress Mie white rice.
I was taught when making rice water to put orange peeling in the water to cut the smell and it work.
Orange essential oil works even better
Putting the peel is not only good for the smell but the added vitamin c helps the rice water to be absorbed better.
Or rosemary oils
Do you put the peel in when fermenting or after?
@@stephaniemwadime3329 i think while fermenting cuz it wouldn’t be any use if u put it after
That Aussie and olive oil deep condition alone worked great on my 3 year old daughter's DRY brittle hair texture. After one treatment overnight I washed it out the next sunrise and it was much softer and much more manageable! I had watched so many videos I forgot I was supposed to do the rice water first lol but that conditioner treatment stuck out in my mind. I applied it to her washed and conditioned (rinsed out) hair.
I love how scientific and specific your research was. You did such a great job educating us for on this process! Thank youuuu 😩
This was actually the best review I've seen yet on rice water! When I say I have never, literally never comment on a video since I've had RUclips but I had to say that. I have been researching this for awhile now this was the best detailed with measured results!
For me too
Your hair has come a long way. I'm glad I was able to see where it's coming from to where it is now. I can't say the same for some of these other youtubers. The fact that you've tried the ricewater and your saying that it works I believe you and ill definitely try it.
Hasn't it though! I remember when she first started.
Hii how many times do u use it in a month
Used the rice water before I did my protective style of box braids and I took them out today and noticed my hair shredded a lot but the growth is REAL grew two inches and it seems softer and curlier!! Girl yes!!!its only been three weeks
Hi! Did u leave in? Or the rinse
you can also try adding citrus peels, like grapefruit, and also try heating the rice water with the peels on the stove. it helps with the smell as well.
Thanks 🤗
Have had a great experience with rice water I cut my hair 2 years ago I needed to for my ends in July 2018. 21/2 years later.....My hair is thicker, doesn't break off only a few tangles, it is longer and I definitely feel a huge improvement. I will continue using rice water forever lol. I love it and its such a huge blessing. I do suggest the fermenting process should be 1 day not 3 because that's where the odor builds up. I would say it should stay in your hair 30 mins to 3 hours is good. A day may be too long but that's perfect. It's fun watching the process.
Pls can u use it on a relaxed hair
I use rice water every month when I take down my hair. It does wonders just I don't want long hair just healthy hair 🥰🥰🥰🥰 forgot to say you are rocking that bun ❤❤❤

❤💜❤
I have used rice water before but wasn't consistent, but when I did use it I noticed that my hair didn't shed as much when I detangled. I'm going to start this again and be consistent to see how my hair grows. Thanks Kim for the detailed video.
Orange and tangerine peels made my rice water smell Heavenly. I let the peels ferment into the rice water for 2 weeks then added rosemary + eucalyptus EOs with 1 TBSP of my homemade aloe vera oil
For those of us who have trust issues I thank you for your honesty.😉
How long after you apply did you wash it out ?
Is your hair natural or processed?
@@SouthernBell33 the video i saw other then this said put it in before you go to bed and wash it out in the morning. Im starting rice water tomorrow lol.
Yoo! Thank you so much! I was worried because this looks like an effective treatment, but wasn’t sure how to tweak it for my type of hair. My hair has also been reacting to a change in climate, so the dryness is not something I’m used to. Will definitely try now, thank you so much!
I need to try this!
Sis really did a whole detailed scientific method we learned in school with this hair treatment 😭😭
That literally made me fall in love with her
Great video.
Ok I'm gonna have to try this again because I need my hair to grow. I'm glad you tried it because I wasn't trusting these other folks saying it works.
I had less hair shedding when I tried rice water treatment and some hair growth. I have heard that your hair porosity determines the frequency of how often you should use the rice water treatment. Thanks for your videos!
YEESS. I've tried this process and it indeed works! Rice water is my go to for hair growth.
Can I use any rice
You're hair is beautiful. You was talking fast but your instructions are clear and easy to follow. I think your video on the use of rice water is the best I've seen so far, thanks for the review.
"Funk and Lavender" Isn't that the name of a music group? 😂
Hilarious
Actually she would of been better off using lemon or orange peels & peppermint oil for discarding the smell. Unless u can take smell.
Ms. Chin The Yawdie You better get a pen & paper before someone steals this 😂
Girl yes! Seen them in concert too they stink! 😝😝😝
Lmaooo 💀💀💀💀 isint it a black eyed peas song
I've been contemplating trying this for awhile. You have sold me on giving it a go.
Wasn’t gonna try it but after seeing this i will lol I trust you lol

Hi you should try the Organic Black Rice it is more beneficial for your hair then all the other rices and best of all its' not stinky like the white rice so give it a try if you give it a try you will be Happy you did.
And your hair will be stronger it will be so soft and manageable and yes smell better it will grow ,..and the water is a dark purplelish color but your hair will not smell bad and you will get results from this Black Rice Organic rice good luck to happy growing ,
Definitely gonna give it a try 👍🏾
What brand of organic black rice do you recommend?
It was growing at the same rate it’s yet that the rice water strengthen your hair shaft which means less shedding. So you were retaining more of your length
I have the same results! I do it once(if i have time twice) a month and I get Stronger, softer, easier to manage , very minimal shedding and just overall healthier/juicier hair. And my hair is growing fast.Love it so far💜💜👏🏽👏🏽
I can attest and say rice water really does work. It makes your hair grow like C R A Z Y
U can use conditioner after i didn't because i wanted the full effect of the proteins and also keep your hair greased or moisturizer lotion.

@@mariakindhearted2651 quick question
So after the rice water you just shampoo and conditioned? Or did you shampoo before adding rice water
Awwww man I really want to try thus now after yesrs of being skeptical.. I've wanted to start my natural hair journey for a while now since I no longer want to wear extensions(no disrespect at all to those who do wear them) but I was scared to try. Watching this video makes me really want to get started asap. Thanks Kim
thank you soo much for explaining how long your hair normally grows AND how long it grew with the treatment! so many people who do videos about it claim growth but never tell how long it normally grows and it's just confusing! also your energy is lovely!
the queen has spoken 💜
I'm happy you tried it though sceptical at first!
I love how relatable this was.
I’ve been using rice water for 8 months, and I love it, Next time add grapefruit peel and lavender essential oil , it helps with the smell a lot.
Different stokes for different folks. Thanks but no thanks....
So what would you say is a better treatment cause I want to be very careful
Other videos/sites states let rice ferment 1 day/over night. This is 1st that says let it ferment for 3 days, leave in up to 20 minutes (some says up to 1 hour).
Also, I'd think her steps might be OK for women of color, but not for Caucasian hair. I'm gonna try it, but not lengths of time to ferment and leave in. I'll ferment roughly 8hrs (overnight) & leave in up to 20 minutes. Wish me luck!
Did you put the conditioner and olive oil mixture on for an hour? Or no?

Rice water is definitely a good thing, for me. I did several big chops. But last year, decided I was going to grow it back. Literally went from tapered, 1inch hair, to shoulder length. Haven't used it since I've had braids. Starting back this week though, braids out. To mask the smell use orange and lemon peels. Great video.

I love doing it every other week. I add fresh sprigs of rosemary or dry- both works great! I add about 5 drops of essential oil per cup of rice water.
