- DENSO COMMON RAIL INJECTOR COMPENSATION CODES, are they important, what do they do, how & where do I put them, what are they?
Pretty much the same for all Toyota common rail & other vehicles using the Denso injection system.
Toyota Prado Hilux Diesel 1kd-ftv
Great video mate. Toyota dealership quoted me 4 hours labour and $680 to complete the coding. 😮 Safe to say I didn’t accept the quote.
😮😮😮😮😮
Thanks for your information, I was going through all your videos, and yes it took me 4 weeks to find this one, bro you are doing a tremendous fabulous thing i cannot learn your information out of a book.
You will be hearing from me for a burger with the lot because my 2008 150series hilux is nearly at 300.000km 🤩🤩❤ya alot.
nice to hear decent honest people. come to Britain they charge for things that don't need doing.
Thank you for videos!Hello from România!
nice video. if i fitted my own injectors and didn't enter the codes, would it throw an error code?
Interesting, i have had dealer do this for me and they said it was wrong from factory. Have knock only at low elevations. They told me that the should have been put in 1 / 3 / 2 / 4 for this specific vehicle. Instead of 1 / 2 / 3 / 4. Do some cars and tools have the fields different to each cylinder?
What’s the difference between code 11, 13 and 18 in the 1kd
I'm changing my injectors tomorrow and we're doing it at a mates and the workshop with the coding tool is 20 minute to drive will be ok to drive with our coding
It will be fine, it won't effect anything for 20 minutes.
@@Fourby4Diesel hey what engine oil would u run in a 2013 3ltr Manuel Toyota Prado with 265ks and how much oil do they use cheers
@Fourby4Diesel what oil would u recommend my 2013 Toyota Prado 3ltr TD Manuel 265ks
Awesome info again thanks bud
U can buy a scan tool & do the coding yourself easily. You can buy a scan tool for under $500 bucks. I had to do it on my MN Triton after a mechanic pulled the injectors out to do manifold cleaning and valve adjustment. While the injectors where out he got them mixed up on the bench but said long as they were already coded for the vehicle it didn't matter which cylinder the injectors went back in. I don't know if that info is 100% correct though. Yes it did run reasonably well when it was finished but the injectors were pretty noisy and it started running a little rich. Soon as I re-coded them for each specific cylinder & then did a SQL it was back to normal & quiet again. Maybe I just imagined the other differences but I do know that it did run quieter & the egt dropped 50 deg C after the coding process.
Hi I just wanna ask if I put the new second-hand injector do I also have to do the same thing
I'm still old school petrol engines, static tuning.... eventually with strobe etc - but I'm totally diesel-illiterate, so help is welcome; I suspect the ECU coding of the injector [DENSO] on my newish diesel truck with turbo to be wrong resulting in high diesel consumption [I used additive to clean injector.. though I mostly drive short distances, soft on the pedal ].... so that code on the injector has to be the same in the ECU or what?
thank you! great video boss
looks of good info
Do you have a recommended mechanic to program the codes in my hilux in Hobart, Tasmania?
Luv your work sir...Bada Bing Bada boong.
Hey mate. Fantastic Job! Absolutely love your work. What is the best way to contact you?
why is the number so long and complicated? surely a 3 or 4 digit number would contain enough information for how much to add or subtract the pulse duration to equalize ?
The number is long because each 4 bits are a compensation value for a given fuel pressure and actuation time and there are depending on injector manufacturer like 8 or 10 arbitrary points (VL VE LL ... etc) so u do the math and here's your code
Hi I changed the washers on my Transit mk7 but I didn't put the injectors back in the same place where they were I wonder if I need to program them now🙄?
You are right.
Thanks for the really informative video. Answers my question about being able to run the vehicle without new codes in order to take it to someone.
Do you recommend anyone in Perth WA?
I’m in uk & doesn’t seem to be a whole lotta Hilux specialists to take your vehicle to so I’m probably going to do an injection change myself. I have a 2011 2.5 D4D HL2 2KD FTV, on 145000Miles what is that hand held device you use to do the pilot learn, are they available to the non professional? Or is their another machine available? Also would a regular diesel specialist be able to perform a pilot learn procedure? I also think I need to replace a lifter as I have a regular tapping coinciding with engine revs, great informative video’s
Mate, for the tapping noise, I believe your injector nozzle tips have been contaminated, best to clean up the nozzle tip to free any debree or signs of water or oil and free the nozzle plunger so they can inject much smoother. This will solve your tapping sound
Hi,for injectors coding on ECU ,can you tell me please on nissan pathfinder Engine the cylinder number 1 is on timing chain side or flywheel side?thank you for answer
Idk, equipment costs money and then there's the investment of years to master a trade......so no need to apologize for making money. Charge what your worth and ppl that appreciate value will pay
Thank you ..great info and well explained.
If I do a injector rebuild do I need to do recoding? Should the shop that does rebuild send me new codes?
Don’t
How did you find the injector build date go a second hand hilux 2012
I just got injectors I need to get them coded my car is down power to would it being not coded cause this
Can you please reply to me
I swapped my working injectors from my other engine (same bxe engine) if the injectors need programming does it jerk the car? I also get a bit of smoke from exhaust
I own a vw golf Mk5 1.9tdi 2008
Hi, I did a scan on my 2010 Nissan Navara D40, diesel (European manufactured). I came up with a fault code P1622. Can you advise given your experience what might this be? I'm getting different feedbacks to the point where I'm confused. One is telling me that I need to recode my injectors. The other is telling me that there's a problem with the EGR system. The problem is that the vehicle cuts out ever so often. Cuts off whilst coming to a stop, cuts off while running at low speeds etc. Looks like I'm lacking power somewhere.
EGR is shit! Disconnect that and regain some power.
where can I purchase genuine new injectors for the 2008 Hilux 1kd?
Keep watching my videos text me Monday morning is playlist’s one is called how to buy my kits
The numbers are in hexadecimal (base 16) 0 to 9 (10 digits) and the alphabet are only A to F (11 to 16).
What happens if I change my jector and it starts giving back smoke?
U stuffed up
very good my brother
A well programmed software should know the o0. As the letters are all hex.
Generally speaking automotive software is not user friendly.
I was quoted $360 for a mech to check my fuel compensation live data.
Legend
Awesome thanks
great video, thanks from s,w,sydney, suscribled.
I installed new injectors in my 1KD and number 2 cylinder had a feedback value of -2.5 And rest were pretty good?? What do you think
Probably need to clean out your EGR + intake manifold
Getting quoted $250 for it
Massive rip off don’t pay more than 100 might as well buy your own scan tool for 250 or you can get techstream for under 50 bucks. Everybody should just do that really
@@Fourby4Diesel do you have anyone in Hobart you'd recommend?
My friend hi, i did this exercise short times ago, but failed, first i started with injector compensate code, and successfully entered, but shortly the code p1604,appeared, eeprom injector correction value happened, all the number above the injector are correct,
And i tried making pirot learning, but still there, what is the solution, while i decided to clear the value, still rattling sound appeared when rpm reach 3500,
Sometimes it fails keep trying again try different scan tool
Clear the codes, don't enter the new codes, shut the programming tool, turn the ignition off disconnect the battery for an hour, then connect the battery, connect your programming tool and enter the codes. Remember it's only A to F, 0 to 9.
A lot of people mistake the zero 0 for an O.
Then using your programming tool do Small Injection Quantity Relearn so that the ECU can learn how much fuel to inject.
Just my to cents, hope this helps.
Let us know if this fixes your problem?
2021 Silverado duramax 3.0
Code was bad fuel injector 2
I changed bad injector.
Cleared codes and worked good for 5 min, then code came back as well as esc, parking break …
Safe to say my thick head didn’t realize it needed to be programmed.
A pack of smokes🤣
Not very clear
