  • I wanted to share this video hoping it will help someone else in the future since other’s sharing has helped me find out more about LINX.
I suffered with hiccups for 6 months 24/7 about 5 years ago. I wanted to mention hiccups since I have learned it is a rare side effect of acid reflux.
Nexium worked for me for about 5 years. About 14 months ago my hiccups and acid reflux started up.
After changing my diet, cutting out foods and taking a lot of new medications the symptoms became worse as the months went by.
In January is when I decided I needed to look into a fix further. My first Gastro doctor diagnosed me as having GERD, a hiatal hernia and Barrett’s Esophagus.
This doctor basically told me to follow the GERD eating plan which I found confusing. I did find “safe” foods. Basically oatmeal, rice cakes and peanut butter for every meal.
Even as strict as I would be the symptoms would come back and it would be 4-5 days of throwing up all day all night.
In my research I found the LINX procedure and watched videos seeing that I believe this is a procedure for me. I hope this video helps others and so far I’m very happy others have shared their experiences.

Do a lot of research. Is it bad reflux?

Yes it’s pretty bad. I’ve been sleeping in my recliner. I just learned about the TIF procedure. I really like that procedure. It’s less invasive and quicker recovery.
