Kasia who (didn't) want a german - this joke referes to the polish fairy tail "Wanda who didn't want a German".
It's about polish princess, who was made to marry the German because of politics (in meddival meaning). She couldn't stand even thinking about it. However She couldn't reject him, because it could lead to war. So instead of this, for her peoples sake, she decided to get drowned in Vistula river.

What does barbed wire mean to Pole? The Germans were the ones that built and ran the Nazi death camps in Poland. The fences that made the escape from there hard were made from barbed wire, so the German language is also sometimes referred to as a language that sounds like shooting, explosions, and things that happened in those camps behind the barbed wire.

@@Reactified123 That is not true though. Barbed wire is JUST a reference to how sharp/metallic/rough german language sounds to Poles. It does not originate from WW2.
As for question about black ancestry - the joke was "I am decendant of Zawisza Czarny ("czarny" means "black")", and Zawisza Czarny is just one of medieval rulers of Poland.
      BUT! Fun fact!
Haitian first head of state gave Polish people a honorable title of "the White Negroes of Europe"! So one could say we're kinda related, in non-blood way!

As Polish woman, I guess, it is rather about how HURTFUL for our ears(by stereotype) German language is. Spike, sharp and unpleasant, due to historical past. 🤷🏻‍♀️
