Not necessarily. There's been good and evil in everything, same with religion. Religion has formed our values which we live by even to this day. You shall not steal, murder, engage in gluttony, vanity, cheat in your beloved etc. Those are all religious values, and I'm by all means fine by that. However, being religious in 2024 feels outdated. We've always wanted answers to things, and when we couldn't get answers we turned to God. Now we can prove stuff with science, so things looks different.

Religious freedom does not mean impunity, and if you say something judgemental or discriminating in the name of your God, you are not exempt from criticism just because you're pious.
Is anyone was worried about it I can tell you that the same year this song was on TV in Sweden the gay people had it on their QX party, it's was their main song, because they understood the humor, so they loved this song and how it is a satire to religious people who actually believes in that, not the gay community.

Culturally there is a difference between an African and an American point of view and thereby what they would see. This is more an African take than an American take to me - maybe own that African heritage?
