Very cool looking rig. Thanks for the review! I had a 84' CJ-7 and remember the uproar in some members of Jeep community back in the day about the rectangular headlights. To some, it was sacrilegious to the round headlights. I was too young to understand it all, but recall a lot less Jeep "waves" when I bought a YJ. The YJ featured the 4.0 "High Output" motor as an improvement to the straight 6 cylinder motor from American Motors. This review brought back some old memories and the rectangular headlights don't seem to be so offensive today. This model looks really cool and amazing in scale features. This is an RC I'd keep on the shelf to preserve some history of the Jeep.
This is modeled after the Jeep YJ, 86-96 I think. The 97-06 is the TJ, the 07-18 JK, newest is the JL/JT (Gladiator). It looks great though! I haven't been this excited for a model in a while.
This is such a cool rig!!!! Finally the YJ getting some love!!! I think Santa is going to have to get me one. I'm going to paint it yellow to match my full size!!! To me it looks like a 1/6th scale rig.
Personally, I like the larger scale. I really like this one. I love the older Jeep's. I told myself I was done buying new trucks, just going to upgrade what I have. I'll probly buy this one.
look really good. I am not into the fms brand really, they just seem a little cheap for what I like to do with my crawlers. This thing looks so good though it could be used for more real type content not extremer crawling ya know. Thanks for showing us.
Always great reviews, to bad they choose a Jeep for there first 1/10, like we don't have enough 1/10 jeeps out there. I have 5 don't need or want another. But I do like the brand very much. Would have like to see something in the I had a Datsun pickup they made fantastic old school pickups especially the real old ones
I just ordered one - I have the 1:1 version so this was a no brainer for me haha. How is the servo and the transmitter though? I think I read that it’s only a 9g servo - which seems like it might be a little underpowered?
Mine is getting a fusion pro and better shocks from Pro-Line. I’m also taking it apart to paint the body a flat OD green. Fms did a good job for there first 1/10 scale and keeping a hard body.
It's not bad at all. Out of the box, the shocks have very, very light oil so can sometimes see the torque twist. I feel with proper shock oil like 45wt, shouldn't be an issue.
This truck is not 1/10 scale! It’s closer to 1/7 scale. A real YJ has a 93.6 inch wheelbase or 9.3 inch in 1/10 scale this thing has a 13.3 inch wheelbase. It looks cool when it’s sitting by itself but if you put it next to any other 1/10 scale truck on the market it’s going to look goofy and out of place.
Fine work, yes it scales to 1/7.1 according to my calculator. The company just makes it to whatever size they want, and then labels it 1/10 to get the most sales, because 1/10 is very well established in the hobby. It's ridiculous because it makes adding details a real challenge (like a winch, tools and a driver figure).
@@davidbertrand7069 thanks for that, I just said it “looks class 1”. I didn’t suggest trying to enter it in a comp. thanks for the info anyways, it might be helpful to someone? Just not here….
I can't believe, I have not yet digested the Toyota and BAM a new one... the risk is not to appreciate the production distracted from all these news. Any how the hood must have a magnet. CIAO!
And just like that they have been discontinued after Jeep Sent them a Cease and Desist letter. You can get a few parts but not the driveshafts. The hood and grille have been removed. Crazy. Not sure why they did not just go ahead and license it sense they already have other vehicles licensed.
If I could get my hands on these cars before they are available my channel would go so much better. It’s hard to do reviews when there is already 100 videos dropped! Lol
I thought it looked really nice but not one to add to my collection... Waiting instead for them to make more US ww2 vehicles in 1/12 then they can just take my money😁
The jeep scrambler would have been an amazing choice, but the old wrangler is cool, at least it isn't the ugly modern jeep body. Definitely more model than machine. Not going to be an epic crawler but sure has great details. The body toll gives it a nice scale driving look. The square headlight of the 87' to 95' was an interesting choice I must say.
No, the Scrambler has a longer wheelbase and it would be further relegated to a trail truck which is not really where the hobby (rock crawling) is centered. A short standard 81 inch (1/1 CJ5) wheelbase just does it all, while longer vehicles (in the real world) get high centered on rocks and stumps. This also translates to the hobby.
Well, they say FMS/Rochobby only makes small scales (1/18, 1/12) until now, but they've given a lot of attention to 1/6 scale with their Willys and Jimny. And yet they still failed at entering the 1/10 market because this one is 1/7 scale......😆
terrible review….. no mention that the steering wheel moves with the steering input? i notice that in your run video but you didn’t mention it when blabbing on
I've been very happy with fms. I would say this is true to 1/10 scale as I've been around lots of real ones I've owed 2 jeeps TJs and have been to jeep meets with willys and CJ and YJ jeeps.
It's not even close to 1/10. I think they call it whatever they want to get into the dominant hobby scale. If it was accurately called 1/7 scale (which it is), not as many people would be interested in it because it would be an oddball scale and not similar to other 1/10 trucks. "1/10" is mostly where all the money is.

Very cool. Always liked the FMS stuff but i never enjoyed smaller Rc cars. I’m glad they are getting into 1:10 scale.
Except it is not 1/10. It scales out to 1/7 almost exactly. I think only Tamiya gets their scales right.
It has finally been released in 1/10 scale by RocHobby.
Looks like a YJ Jeep and is very nice
That is because it IS a 1986-1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ
It’s 1/7 scale.

The scale and actual scale is a problem. You don't put on the shelf different dimensions models supposed to be in the same scale, they make a mess.

Francis, the name is homage to Chuck Mashigan the designer the Jeep YJ body.
The links to the RC show no page found... Did FMS discontinue this rig already?
Chuck mashigan designed the yj and the jeep assembly plant is in Michigan
Mashigan comes from Chuck Mashigan who was the designer of the YJ
We can’t get it in Britain yet. Apparently no grease in any diffs or transfer case I read.
Very cool, can't wait to see what you do with it :)
Like your driving Spot. I have to drive at least 20km first to get somewhere
Sounds like 3s battery isn’t recommended, what 2s and size battery would you recommend?
Chuck Michigan designed the Jeep YJ. The name his kind of a cool tribute to him. 😜
How do i adjust steering on the 1/6 mb jeepscale is it the the same as

Will the leaf springs from the other vehicles fit this truck?
Hopefully they make some CJ7 conversion parts for it.
Do you happen to know the shock size
