It's a very nice looking trail truck that looks like it can handle a bit of crawling. I've been eyeing this online waiting for a decent review, so thank you sir!
Excellent, glad you enjoyed it! I want to do a more trails oriented video with it soon to show it working on the trails some more. Looking forward to that. Cheers
Just revisiting this video, I dont know mate but I pulled the trigger getting the RCs you reviewed. I got the MST DC1, the Sendero HD, and the latest, this RGT Rescuer, your reviews and tests are spot on. Thank you for what you do!
Ah sweet, so glad you've found this stuff useful! I've learned a lot presenting them and it's fun to hear back from you guys when it's helpful. Happy driving!
Was pleasantly surprised of how this performed vs a KnightRunner or the MST Discovery! Definitely a great package overall for trailing and a bit of scale-rock crawling. A great all-rounder, once you spend some time maybe making an interior for it.
I was surprised too! I thought it would do problems 1 and 5. I still reckon it could do 4 but it'd be rough on it. For an all-rounder, though - especially with that second gear - yeah, beaut truck that gives those others a run for the money!
@@RCTNT I was thinking... I believe having portals, and an overall heavy rig are a huge advantage in your rock problems. Given its a trail truck could a trailer be attached and is there a kit that would match up nicely with it for the 70s style and correct ride height? Perhaps a yeah racing huty duty YA-0640?
For sure you can tow with it and many trailers will fit, but lighter weight is better for this kind of crawler. Hi i just have one small question since im pritty new to rc crawling. What size 2s lipo do you recommend to get the longest run time without adding too much weight and with overheating with time
The first 10 pre-orders shipped with the 6200mAh 2S 30C battery I used in this video. It held the truck back on these problems a bit, so if you keep it to 4000mAh or less it'd be less noticeable. The good news with 2S is that it lasts longer than 3S batteries (if all else is equal). Heat won't be a problem for damage, so put in whatever you like. For reference, this 6200mAh battery will deliver 1.5 to 2.5 hours runtime, depending on how it was driven (higher motor load and/or motor speeds draws more current). So even a 3000mAh battery will be very good for runtime and it'd not noticeably hinder this already heavy vehicle.
It's not exactly necessary is it! My first reaction to your comment was that I must surely be mistaken, as I don't recall that detail. But I just went and looked and yes, that appears to be the case. It isn't in the same league as those. If you're after a crawler, the deadbolt and the enduro se will both out-perform the RGT Rescuer. But that's just in pure technical driving. It really does. Similar body roll, definitely. Defender be slightly more capable I think, but not by much - this thing is incredible for its lower price! They're both great rigs.
Agreed. Still, I use these problems because now we can see how it goes on rocks compared to all the others on my channel which have done the same 6 problems. I'm not trying to get it to win everything - I want it to do what it can do so we all can see what it's like on the difficult stuff. Helpful if you're considering one :) Thanks for watching!
It works for me. Easier to say than "obstacle". It's a problem to solve - I have a bouldering and rock climbing background and we called the various challenges there "problems". I know RC is more like motorsport but it's what I knew, so I stuck with it. I am interested though, you're the second person to mention this. What would you call them? Obstacles? @@RCTNT 2nd is quite fast for brushed motor, reckons it could keep up with trx4 😅😁😉👍
@bernardrc1137 top speed is similar, yep
Yep, I'm finally getting one after a year, cheaper now, too, £350 including free delivery, yeah, rite mate, 🤔 lol,,,,.She is arriving on Thursday, & I can't wait, my early Xmas present to myself 😜😁😉 ,,never had traily crawlerish truck with unlocking/ locking diffs before ,lol
Oh nice! That's fairly reasonable money actually. Much cheaper than than the Big T equivalent! I hope you get many enjoyable hours from it 😊
@RCTNT well my rgt desert fox/ ftx outback geo, cost me £315, crazy hey, but getting rescuer for £350, lol , rgt desert fox has only front lights hazards, indicators, anti body shift shafts, hmmm lol 😅
@bernardrc1137 in any case I think the value is really there for the latest purchase. It's a great machine.
Are the axles made of metal?
Housings are plastic (which is better, honestly it is) but the axles are metal, yes.
Super 👍🍻🚧💪💯🚧🤠
Looks like it moves like the Defender does, would be interesting to see it goes against a Defender…….
It really does. Similar body roll, definitely. Defender be slightly more capable I think, but not by much - this thing is incredible for its lower price! They're both great rigs.
rock too extreme for that bumper. so not real
Agreed. Still, I use these problems because now we can see how it goes on rocks compared to all the others on my channel which have done the same 6 problems. I'm not trying to get it to win everything - I want it to do what it can do so we all can see what it's like on the difficult stuff. Helpful if you're considering one :)
Thanks for watching!
Everything is good but for the love of God stop calling the courses you’ve laid out ‘problems’!
Obstacles? You said courses but problem 2 is literally two rocks. Hardly a course... What do you think?
все что понял из этого видео,что у автора 6 проблем с головой(а может и больше)
охуенная машина же,че ты придираешься
Weird insult but fair enough. Probably more than six, honestly!
