Great conversation John! Also, for anyone watching this that is not caught up with Dresden, there is a pretty big Battle Ground spoiler at 21 minutes until about 22:10
Thanks for all the great recs! Love this series of vids as the conversations just flow and the enthusiasm just grips you all the way throughout! Cant wait for the next vid and have a great rest of your day!!
YEEES Lezlie is the freaking best, I love her raw authenticity so much 🤩 Delighted to see you two exchanging so many recs, this has to be the most dangerous talking with tubers for anyone's TBR to date hahah. Very glad she mentioned Daniel Barnett's Nightmareland Chronicles to you, I am begging you to prioritise that one. The first 3 or 4 are novella length so you can just blast through them. And the best thing is, he accomplishes more in 100 pages than most authors can in thousands. Exceptional, I adore that character-driven post-apocalyptic American horror! Thanks for the fun friends 🥰
I enjoyed your conversation with my morning coffee because I didn't get to watch it live. John, your microphone was quieter than normal, but I know you have a miracle worker who will fix it for you. 😀👍 I subscribed to Lezlie's channel. 👍
Ah..when you brought up the small town with the one blinking light it triggered my memory for Charlene Harris’s Midnight Texas trilogy which I enjoyed tremendously! I guess it is light horror. There was a tv show too, short lived but just as good.
@@kcsubotai F Paul Hated that movie so much he bought the rights back as soon as he could. If you try the Keep and enjoy it I would say go forward with the Adversary Cycle. Great series.
I find it hard to sit through most livestreams these days but loved this discussion. I'd suggest at least for the time being going with Memory, Sorrow & Thorn instead of WoT ain't calling to you. I finished it last night and its more in line with what I was initially hoping WoT and Faithful & the Fallen would be. Lezlie never fails to crack me up
@@Talking_Story The trapper keeper is the keeper of all things! My computer is just a pile of metal and not very well sorted either but that's my problem I guess 😂

Esmay thanks so much. You will have some Apocalyptic character driven pages coming your way very soon. All I'm allowed to say at this point

@@heidi6281 I never got into that series. I think I have read 1 of books. I may have to go back and check that 1 out. Thanks for the reminder Heidi!
Team Replay there. "The Keep" OMG, flashback of the movie, (1983 Scott Glenn, Jurgen Prochnow). SO MANY additions to my TBR, sToP.

am i the only one who struggled to hear john in this one? if I turned it up loud enough to hear him well, her audio was blown out
@@bmike3000 we did have an audio issue. I moved the mic right to my face eventually which helped. We have since fixed the issue.

@@bmike3000 thanks so much! Yeah it was a little problem in the streaming software. Should be all better going forward.
