AVGN was already one of the greatest since he began in the early 2000s, even before AVGN was a thing. But as time goes by in the early 21st Century, he just gets better and better to the point of being the best of the absolute best. In other words, he ages as incredibly well as The Rock!
I play the AVGN seasons in the background as I work, it's great background noise as I've watched them many times over. I always have to skip the earthbound episode though, because it's just too interesting for me to ignore. One day I'll find the time to sink into that game.
This was honestly a great season, full of memorable moments and classic nerd lines. To keep the quality this high for 12 seasons is super impressive James!

Earthbound was amazing. I think the reason is just like you said, it makes it so you WANT to talk to everyone, the dialog is great. It's like care went into every interaction and they gave everyone a personality, it made you wish there was more dialog if anything.

Time to relive more awesome AVGN nerdy goodness while I work. I absolutely love the Mother series btw and Mother 3 is one game that actually made me very depressed and cried while playing it. It's such a beautiful but messed up game.
I absolutely love that Macaulay said it was completely unfair to pick oddjob. Regardless of him saying that himself or if it was his line, it’s absolutely true and I just love the relatability in small stuff like that. Games transcend all aspects of society. When you play a game you are no different from your neighbor or the Pope. And I love that.
