- Take a trip back in time to Kings Dominion in Doswell, VA on June 18, 1998! The park was owned by Paramount at the time. Highlights include the Rebel Yell wooden coaster going backwards (!), Shockwave stand up coaster, Volcano: The Blast Coaster construction, and Wayne's World!

I worked there that summer. Been looking for myself in the video! 😆
I went to Kings Dominion in late July 1998, and Volcano had not yet opened up. The Days of Thunder simulator was rethemed to a James Bond simulator.
I give these videos a thumbs up even before I start watching them!
Please keep posting more these are amazing
Now I know what my parents are talking about when they took my brother as a child. I was born in 00 and never understood what they saw when they took my brother 😂
Cool video
Love this place. So cool to see how it use to look.
Ahh thank you for this video! So cool to see! I was born in ‘95 so I didn’t really get to experience this 😂 Still missing Volcano till this day 💔 Love Anaconda’s original color scheme!
The original plans for “Wayne’s World” at PKD included a performance area with a stage on the side closest to the Grizzly. The Hurler was supposed to have a tunnel which ran behind the stage.
12:04 It took 25 years for McDonald's to match $5.59 Kings Dominion's prices for a burger in 1998. Thanks inflation.
