The Blue Streak was my first "big kid" coaster. I must have been 9 or 10. I still remember my dad holding my shoulders down on the first hill and yelling, "hold on to your teeth, grandma!" We would go here in the 80s and early 90s. Such a great, little park.
Thank you so much for sharing this! Brought back such good happy memories of Conneaut Lake Park!
My Dad worked at Westinghouse and they always had their picnics there. Great fun and memories!
Thank you so much for this video! Blue streak, Hellhole, the Ultimate Trip were my 3 favorites here.
I am so happy I found your video. Brings back such happy memories. We used to rent those houses inside the park. A very nice place. So sad to see it change.
My family and I went there a lot when I was a kid (70s/early 80s). My sister worked there for the summer of ‘83. And then while we were in the area, we also went to the Linesville Spillway to feed the fish. Those were the days! RIP, Conneaut Lake Park!
I remember feeding the fish also when we would go to conneaut lake park.. they were carps if I recall right.
Just looking at the people you can just TELL its the 90s
When Conneaut finally going down, this video should be archived
I remember going here a lot in the early 2000s. Going down the lazy river. Being at the top of the big blue slides. Getting on the blue streak 30 times in the day. It’s kinda strange watching these people enjoy a day that I didn’t put much thought into when I was young. Now I’m watching this video seeing myself standing in all those spots. Time is strange
Very nice video.
Those were the good ole days for the park. Too bad they couldn't keep things running every season after.
love that dad's Pgh accent!
The Jolly Caterpillar and kiddie Turtle ARE from West View Park. The Turtle is now at Knoebels, not sure where the Jolly Caterpillar went.
Thank you for preserving the better days of CLP. So sad how the former board and EPAC sold the park to a land developer.
It didnt surprise me, I grew up going to that park, it had been maintained since the late 90s and needed millions in repairs. This video probably caputures the park at its best time in its history
MOST LIKELY VERY INTENTIONALLY😮😮😢😢❤❤
@@TheMrLebaronALSO GREATTTT , IN THE 60'S & 70'S ❤❤
The Blue Streak was no accident!! It was all planned !!
