Excellent footage of the original queue for Disaster Transport ! It's rare to come across footage of how the line was before they forced you to enter through the repair bay part of the line. 🤗👍

Brought back great memories for me. It didn't last long before they moved the entrance to the repair bay.
@@rickdeckard7161 they didn't make that a permenant feature until about 2004. Between 1997-2003, they only did that during the Halloweekends period, and really only when they started using that part of Disaster Transport as a haunted house, but it was always dismantled for the following year. After 2004, or maybe 2005, they never reverted the entrance.
@@matthintz9468 you're probably right, it's funny how you remember things. I swear I have rode that ride easily over 300 times legitimately after looking at records my dad and I kept starting on the 90s. Was just showing my kids our season passes and what not from the cedar point trunk in the attic. Looking forward to seeing the park this year.

From 1989-2000 Cedar Point saw Magnum, Mean Streak, Raptor, Mantis, and Millennium. We most likely will never see a better decade at the park

So many memories...this is when I was 12 ..brings tears to my eyes... we'd go every year as a family till about 96' ...we are from and still live close by in Toledo Ohio

Ahh this is so cool! I work there this year and it's so crazy how different the drive down the causeway and entrance look compared to now. Thanks for the Disaster Transport footage, I only got to ride once the year before it closed so it's super cool to see what it looked like in it's early years.

This is AMAZING! My first trip to Cedar Point was in 1993 and we have absolutely zero photos from that trip. I was 9 years old. Everything I remember is there! I was also there in 1996 for Mantis’ debut. Thank you so much for sharing!

Definitely blast from past. The only reason I ride distaster transport was to get out of heat. Never really enjoyed the coaster. Bonus footage inside space spiral way cool. Thanks for sharing your family vacation with us!

I visited CP in '93 as a child. What a magical time for the park. This is when my precious Magnum was king.
Thank you for sharing your family memories with us! I was enjoying the wonderment (and the sassyness) of the narration - it was fun to hear the honest reactions to everything. I had to laugh about Bear Country - my oldest is 25, and the only thing I remember about that area is the dinosaur skeleton.... totally forgot about that!
Back when it wasn't mobbed like it is now. Honestly it has gotten to big for its own good. Lots more people know about this place now so you have to be extra good at planning a trip to avoid all the people.

It was jammed back then, too. I remember standing in line for 4 hours to get on the Millennium and the Raptor. This was just a slow day.
I go in the middle of the week and it's usually not too bad

So crazy to see. I was just back at Cedar Point this summer first time in a long long time and seeing this us so awesome to compare how big the park has gotten over the decades
I would’ve been 11 in 99. My family would always go here every summer in our rv and hit up cedar point and geuaga lake. I have fond memories of the giant slide and kid Arthur’s court. Omg the bear family tree house I remember that! And the Dinosaur area, I spent hours there.
OMG thank you for posting this I been searching home videos from the 90s looking for original disaster transport effects footage and music. This was one of my favorite rides when I was a kid it was always nice to get out the heat with it being air conditioned too. I was 9 in 1993 we would go every year until my late teens.

All the business takes place in the front. But once you get to the back, it's nothing but wild rides, thrills and adventure.

crazy to think that cedar point didn't get its iconic skyline until well into the 90s
looking at videos like this you can clearly tell its really only magnum repping that first look from the causeway
We are season pass holders and just spent the past two days there, living in CLE we have been going since we were kids in the 80’s. We now enjoy taking our teenagers! This has changed so much. Even just driving down the causeway you see nothing but huge coasters now. Have you all been to Cedar Point in the last few years? Completely different from the 1990’s and wary 2000’s. Thank you for posting this blast from our childhood past!

What an awesome video. I didn’t visit the park for the first time until 2005 but this was still a blast from the past. There was also a lot here that I had no clue was ever at Cedar point. I’m just glad I’m fortunate enough to live 45 mins from the park
Space Spiral The ride all ages could enjoy. I was there the last year before they removed it. My parents, grandparents, and great grandparents enjoyed it.

Magnum and mantis are both still there. Mantis cars changed and it got renamed rougarou.
