- Diana visited us from Estonia because she wanted to give more harmony to her face, which seemed too short.
To correct it, Prof. Hernández Alfaro performed orthofacial surgery that consisted of:
- Advancement and descent of the maxilla
- Advancement and rotation of the mandible clockwise
- Descent and hourly rotation mentoplasty

Does this surgery lengthens face or just moves the face forward?If yes how much mm you have done lengthening??
This type of surgery can do both things, depending on the movements performed. We cannot share the particulars of our patient's surgeries.
I wonder how do you keep the ans-incisors relationship ideal when planning lf1 with downward and forward movements?
It is the orthodontist who manages the relationship between ANS and incisors. But we do prefer the incisors-palatal plane reference to determine the ideal position of the incisors.

Yes but if you were to do an mma surgery with downward and forward movements, you have to pick between regular lf1 where the ans moves downwards or subspinal lefort where the ans would stay too far back. do you do some type of special procedure to manage this problem?

When the lower third of the face is shorter than the other two.
So is it permanent? Like after she did that surgery she will always have the new face shape right?
Yes, it is permanent. The bones will fuse in their new position and the shape will stay as it is now.

Both upper and lower jaw were advanced so the nose structure gets pushed slightly upwards and looks more refined.
