- Edgar came to our center on the recommendation of his ortodontist to undergo bimaxillary orthognathic surgery. That depends of the movements planned for your surgery. For example, if you are going to have maxilla and mandible moved in block, and you already have a perfect bite, in that case it wouldn´t be necessary.

It's a bimaxillary surgery, so both jaws were movilized.

@@abraham50sd Probably not. Look at the anatomy of the face sometime. Moving the maxilla affects the appearance of the nose as well. It just looks more upturned to me, and that's a common side effect of moving the maxilla forward.
