great review, interested to know if your opinion has changed over time & if youre still using them? looking into getting my first pair as they're significantly more affordable than Yokkao which is the other brand im considering for my next set.
Man, great vídeo!! I've tried top king before and they feel weird, almost like if there were a stiff wire inside holding the glove in a certain shape, it doesn't "embrace" my hands, you know? So I'm afraid thats a thai glove type of issue and I'm thinking about buying boon ones but not sure cuz of that... what you think??
So for me top king is just too tight for my hands. The wire feel you might be feeling is very stiff EVA foam that is usually used to keep the mold of the foam in a set shape at all times
How does this glove compare to Top King Super Air Muay Thai glove? I am looking at buying these two gloves because of the good wrist support they provide over Twins, Windy, Yokkao etc. Keep up the good reviews they helped me a lot
So glad to hear they've helped! For me personally boon is better for both knuckle and wrist support. The top king gloves really don't fit my hands all that comfortably and are a little tight. I personally prefer boon. Definitely one of my favorite thai gloves
Don't understate those issues with the velcro wearing out. Just took mine out yesterday and kept having the strap come off mid combination. Now, I won't use them until I can figure something out.
Will the padding of this pair too stiff/dense for my sparring partner (like the Fairtex bgv9)? Or will it be pillowy like the twins bgvl3? Also, how's the velcro compared to the Twins and Fairtex counterparts?
would you not recommend these gloves for someone who has only done muay thai for a few months but plans to continue since you said they are a professional level glove
Are they pillowy when u hit the bag or mitts? I’ve used the Fairtex BGV11 and find them too pillowy, Fairtex BGV1 too stiff too raw, I like how Windy Feels good feedback but good protection How would u compare the Boons to them? Thanks in advance!
So the padding is more pillowy than Fairtex? I have a pair of Win1's for sparring but theyre MASSIVE and i hate that. The padding is great, but wish they were in a more conventional size profile.
They're some of the softest Thai gloves I have used, they're about as soft as Fairtex BGV19s. Softer than Rival Aero and definitely much softer than the other Fairtex gloves.
For pure boxing training and sparring gloves, would you recommend this over the fairtex bgv9? Im in a small city in the Philippines and my options are limited to those two brands
@@combat_corp thank you so much for responding so you think windy has a smaller finger compartment then fairtex I feel like I have to stretch my hands to open with the fairtex bgv1
@kit675 I like them a lot I ended up ordering both of them and honestly the compacts feel better and not as much of a thai glove still a traditional boxing glove. With the classic I was getting a bit of a pinch by the thumb and with the compacts i don't get that feeling
Boons are my favourite overall glove after owning (and still using) Fairtex, Top King, Twins and Venum gloves (my least favourite). On my 4th pair of white Boons and the ONLY bad thing I can say is that the velcro is not built to last when compared to other brands. The velcro gives out well before the glove itself and it sucks because they hold up so well. My latest pair of boons are laceups and they feel so, SO good. I like them over my other gloves as I feel they have the most snug hand compartment and the shape of the glove fits my hand very well when clenched in a fist. The padding is also soft but provides a solid connection when hitting pads.
Hoping you’d review these! Can you check out the boon compacts next ?
I can try!
@@combat_corpI’d like to see those too
2:24 lmao!! Also a jab at Yokkao 😂😂😂

@@combat_corp I see, got it! But does it happens to boon's too? Do you feel it embraced your hands?
It feels natural on my hands yes@@felipe9228
Love your review. Been looking at these for awhile. What would you say is your favorite Thai glove?
Not quite my favorite Thai glove no. I am a big fan of Yokkao and Windy for Thai gloves but Boon are pretty dang good!

I would reach out to boon then!

I can’t decide if I should get 12oz for bag and pads or 16 for sparring. Would you recommend this for sparring or better for bag work?
I was wondering when you would make this video and I’m also waiting for the bag mitts review
Hopefully soon!

Pretty similar to windy but a denser padding for sure.
@@combat_corp thanks!
In the market for this. But thinking about the fairtex bgv9 too. Which would you prefer in terms of boxing and why?
Boon because the knuckle/wrist support is a little better for boxing BUT if you have strong hands and like a puncher's feel get the bgv9.
@combat_corp I really need you to point in the right direction in the retail market to find 10oz gloves for large wide hands.
I like Rival bag gloves that are 10 oz as for me, they have a pretty sizeable hand compartment that works for my hands really well!@@IEXECUTIVE
@combat_corp Can you recommend any sparring or fight gloves that fit my needs? I have gloves for bags.
Hit n Move Fight Glove does a pretty great job. There's also the Reyes Safetec people love training in too. @@IEXECUTIVE
ThaiSmai BGLW? Seems like they could be nice for regular boxing with the extra wrist support.
Always wanted to try Thaismai
Which velcro thai glove would you say is best suited for boxing? @@combat_corp
@@combat_corp Please Do A Review on ThaiSmai Velcro. There are none, though I hear great things.
Hi. I have wide hands 9.5 inches all the way round. Including a hand wrap would this glove fit me in 10oz?
Do you prefer twins or boons for smaller hands. I got twins at the moment but find them too puffy.
Good review 👍👍👍

@@pootytang2872 does the classic and the compact versions have the same padding?

which one did you get? i have the Boons but I havent used Fairtex BGV9s yet
What are your favorite Muay Thai gloves. Looking for a glove with easy to open hand compartment
I like Windy a lot! Decha is great too.
@@combat_corp thank you so much for responding so you think windy has a smaller finger compartment then fairtex I feel like I have to stretch my hands to open with the fairtex bgv1
What the widest width of these gloves once the laces are loosened?
How is this gloves compared to bgv9 for a bag gloves?
More dense padding and better wrist support
Hey bro have you tried their compact one the more thai looking one
Not yet! I'll have to soon
@combat_corp I just ordered mine should be getting the by this weekend I messed up I wanted the one you have but it's alright I'll keep them .
