There's adjusting and there's spinning. Full spinning after every shot is unusual. Most players spin it occasionally to semi-regularly, and certainly they will make small grip adjustments using the off-hand. There's a reason dude got so many thumbs up on his comment. Struff is spinning unusually often.
What a fighter!! Important moments played with great determination. Beautiful sliced backhands chained with powerful backhands. Lots of attacks. Congratulation Stéfanos.
Yeah it's all due to the camera angle imo. It's very high up, unlike in the past, 2017 was the last time when the camera angle was slightly higher than the player, you would see the ball "like a melon" and also the depth of the shots. Now the camera angle is not watchable, not even night sessions because of the lighting that resembles sunlight. I don't understand why they choose for this ugly angle.
Seems Tsitsipas was slicing more than normal. If his new coach can make his slice 20-30% better (especially as a defensive tool) that will a HUGE difference to his game.
@@cvcfoundation8413 He had confidence back when he was 11....?😅Well anyways good win one step level up for him!Just want him to have the mental of his age.TSITSIVEDEV/KYRGIPAS clash wanna see again.
If I was his coach I would tell him : “Give up on that single handed backhand, it doesn’t serve you. You refuse ? I really love you kid so I wish you good luck because even though you’re good, you could be better, and because you’re so stubborn, so you aint gonna win often.”

And you really belive it wasn't for Stefanis mistakes to bring Struff so close to winning? Sorry mate but if you think overall stuff is better than tsitsipas there is an ongoing problem for you
@@TimelyAdventureHe beat sinner in monte carlo. And let’s not pretend he doesn’t have a winning h2h. If rublev can beat sinner, no reason Tsitsipas can’t
well that’s how match ups work anyway, maybe he can’t but maybe he doesn’t need to. Maybe someone like Zverev takes Alcaraz out and tsitsipas beats Zverev.
I was gonna say that single handed backhand needs to stop given the lack of force it produces, how less precise the shots become and how easy it is to simply fail at returning the ball, but then I’m happy to seek the Greek smiling, wish he could he better contending harder against the others at the top. Seriously if he was playing with 2 hands on the backhand he would not lose as easily and his game would be stronger. Federer was extremely precise, that’s what gave him the wins initially, then players started to play big shots on him and he didn’t appear as strong anymore. The single hand head backhand is something of the past, it’s not good enough given the level of tennis these days.
Single backhand is the best and Federer is one of the best in tennis history and he uses single bakchand. Not roger had problems with speed or power balls but because of the spin of ball especially when was playing with Rafa ..
You can see Stefanos with a relaxed face and taking a lot of pleasur, happy for him!!!
I read that he changed for a two hand back hand. I am happy he didn’t !
Dude his attitude will never make him a grand slam winner. He doesn’t have mentality and attitude
Don’t be happy for that piece of shit
@@franbatista9062 who knows what he is really capable of, now that his toxic father is away

He was spinning his racquet just before an overhead smash.

yes, it is very difficult to sight the ball in the highlights.only when the point ends that you know if it was a winner or an error.

Looks like they're using a cheap webcam to film it 🙄
you dont hit the ball with the sun, I think it's all good
Gorgeous Stefanos Tsitsipas ❤ Brilliant Tennis ❤ Beautiful Human ❤

Stef using the slice.....?"He's changed tactics!"
It seems to work better than trying to listen to his coaches going for the topspin BH which we all know he doesn’t have full confidence in.

That’s actually a tactic change
He approaches down the line and makes a low forehand volley, "World class tennis!"
@@TimelyAdventure Is that new tactics?btw idk tbh.
Dammit, Struff is one of those guys I always root for. Kinda feels like he blew this one.
Excellent win, Stefanos!!
Whoa! When did Tsisipas develop that slice? That is a must-shot in single hander's repertoire!
Indeed especially against pace like Struff can generate, the movement and timing precision required for a normal backhand is very difficult.
This is embarrassing video quality in 2024.
It's almost perfect for me.
Tsitsipas I luv you so much ❤❤well played
Amazing what you can achieve when you sack your dad/coach.
Did he?
I think it's a correct decision. Federer played some of his best tennis without a coach, Stef should also think about tennis by himself.
It will definitely help Stefanos mature for sure
It worked wonders for Steffi Graff
What has he accomplished?
One win and not even a surprising one.
WTH are you talking about??
so happy Tsitsi got his first victory as a free man !
Plays much better without his toxic box
Yes, I don't know why most couldn't see the negative effect his Dad had on him. He might play better consistently now. I hope so.
Me da gusto ver ganar al excelente tenista griego ❤
Always knew that Tsitsi had to do something about that backhand to start winning 👀
It would be nice to see the ball 👀 🥎
0:44 tsitsipas backhand
Bravo Stef
If Tsitsipas uses backhand slices effectively, he'll be back to the top 3 player.
Fire Dad and backhand slice. Seems to have worked today!
Hate this camera angle. Its too high. Cant see anything clearly. The ball seems unnatural
Good to see Steph on a good start. Dont be surprised - it'll take a while to move on. You'll overcome the obstacles !
Great job by Tsitsipas for keeping the pressure on Struff who was dying to rip his forehead any chance he had.
you cant see the ball.......really bad angle.
Tsitsipasss landing after serve is so weird. Cannot unsee it.

Tsitsipas slice backhand has some nice bite and depth to it. Seems effective. The Great Fed used a lot of slice. Maybe we have something here.
why is the screen shaking?
No ball in sight.
I believe that if tsitsipas control his could become the successful player of current generation.

Struff was the better player but stefanos found a way
Awful video quality.
Tsisipas's backhand is so bad it's literally funny watching him try to hit it.
