- Three suspects accused of killing rapper XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Onfroy, during an alleged armed robbery in 2018 are facing trial. Suspects Michael Boatwright, 28, and his accused accomplices, Dedrick Williams, 26, and Trayvon Newsome, 24, could receive life in prison if convicted of the murder.

The reading of the verdicts was quite satisfying. All the grins and smiles the defedants had while flaunting money in videos and all throughout trial were gone when they heard guilty and had to stand up and be immediately handcuffed!

Yeah I agree that would be interesting. I’d assume it took so long because the jury we’re trying to establish if the murder was premeditated. First degree is the most severe murder so they wanted to make sure definitively that it was a premeditated murder

I know a defense attorney’s job is to represent the person for a fair trial and I believe in that 💯. But I do wonder- they seem defeated when they lose- but did they really want these 3 violent criminals freed? They have to know they’re a danger to society.
That's a very interesting point. In this case they know their clients did it but it's a human emotion not to be happy when you lose no matter what the case.
I call it practice for when they actually have to represent innocent ppl accused of crimes 💯
It’s all for show for their client, I’m sure as soon as they walk out of this court they’ll never think of these three again lol
I was thinking that as well. For the very first time, I got the impression their lawyers actually thought they had been unjustly convicted. I initially thought they were just in it for the sake of it but they actually seem emotionally invested and genuinely upset which really surprised me. They formed some bond with these ingrates it seems. Guess they spent a lot of time with them eh.
Newsome's paid lawyer actually shakes his head- which should've been called out on that.
The defense lawyer's job is to make the state prove its case. I would have advised them to cop a plea to 2nd-degree murder and at least have a chance to get out someday.
