- The judge overseeing XXXTentacion’s murder trial sentenced three of the four men responsible for the rapper’s death to life in prison Thursday. Jahseh Onfroy was shot and killed during a deadly armed robbery in June 2018. The convicted murderers, Michael Boatwright, Dedrick Williams, and Trayvon Newsome will spend the rest of their lives in Florida prison.

" That had to be the coldest lines I've ever heard a judge say during sentencing. The fact that Florida doesn't have parole. Life means exactly that... LIFE!!!

I agree with you! Also, I didn't realize Florida abolished the parole system. Life sentences mean "for life." I didn't understand tho why the first man that was sentenced has a life sentence with a "ten year minimum." That confused me.

That part really got me
As a former inmate, I've had the opportunity to meet ppl who were never going home and experienced what life was like behind prison walls. Its something that I would never take back I learned alot about myself and the life I was leading. They killed a man for what 50k, if they had worked they could have made that in a year at best. Kids don't want to work they want what you got what you worked for. It's sad. One day the realization of their life will hit them and regret will be a weight too heavy to bear.
Take seconds to get life and you right they could've worked for a year on some group economics and did a lot better. Group economics needs to be a practice.

The Judge couldn't have done more in his sentencing to show XXX's family that the murderers faced justice. I hope it serves as a lesson to others who may think about acting that way in future.

Body language is universal despite what spoken language an individual speaks. You can tell from the facial expressions and little movements that they knew they threw their whole life away.
It really hit me just thinking how they just took a life for money for nothing. Listening to how the judge spoke to these young men was just the right tone, explaining the finality of their lives "you will never be free"

I recorded this and played it for my son's and nephew. I wanted them to have a painted picture of what life is behind bars. The rappers glorifying being a demon and STANDING ON BUSINESS.
NOT BEING A PUNK AND "DO YOU REALLY LIVE THAT LIFE".
OR SAYING "YOU REALLY NOT LIKE THAT".
This is the other side of that coin they don't talk about. Glorifying being a gangsta and to stand on business, but don't glorify how you'll lose everything and spend your life rotting in prison over 5 minutes of revenge. One thing I've learned, is the time it takes a convicted killer or criminal to change their life forever is usually seconds and not minutes. And ultimately your paying years of your life if not your entire life for something that only took less than a minute. So instead of saying I wish I could go back and take it away. Just don't do it.. That was the speech to my kids.
The judge wasn't even talking to me, and I felt every word to the core. I couldn't picture my life being wasted like this knowing that my life will someday end here behind those cold, lonely bars. They will definitely see.

Occasionally i look at life sentences like this being handed down, and i have a newfound appreciation for the freedom i have to do the things i enjoy. These people will never know the enjoyment of the simple things in life again.
but then you're reminded that the freedom you have in this world is only the freedom that is given to you by the system, which is not true freedom but I guess it'll do for now

The judge really put things in perspective. Justice was definitely served in this case.
Imagine throwing your whole life away to kill someone, sitting in court smiling and everything. But to be so young and honestly throwing away what the world has to offer is wild.

To be incarcerated for ever is insane and not living! im in my late twenties and spent close to 10 years locked up I’ve been out for almost 11 months and I don’t ever want to go back it’s a waste of life and how we spend our limited time on this planet matters
