Another Honorable Mention is Letchworth Village about 20 minutes north of Rockland Psych. 2,362 acre psych center where the first polio vaccine was tested.
I would love to see another NY episode!!!
I lived down the road from Saratoga Homestead Asylum a few years ago. I go often. It’s very close to broadalbin. Also shut down to asbestos. It looks just like the one in orangeburg. Another honorable mention is the Adirondack Steel Mill, It’s acres of land. And two others are an abandoned radar base in Saratoga and Leonard’s hospital.
Is the hospital still standing? I know nothing of it but a quick google search gives a lot of results for it being demolished.
Where’s the radar base?
@@op-jl9zi it’s in Stillwater on radar road
@@christopherpape4823 no I went there the other day nothing remains
Why were there so many places like that in Saratoga?
Upstate New York is cluttered with places worth mentioning like this. A mixture of bad politics and shitty economics has really killed upstate NY. EVer since the great depression until today, so many people have tried and failed to build upstate into a beautiful destination, it's so sad how hard it is to keep anything going around here.
NYC sucks the state dry....
@@will4673 and they have the #s down there to maintain the shit show state government no matter what the rest of us try to do to make a change.
Amen
Yep, so true.
This is so cool!! I live in Silver Creek NY!! In the 90s we used to hang out in the old school!! It is still sitting there, falling apart. It is standing because of asbestos. The cost to take it down is ridiculous.
Wooo!! I just hiked overlook mountain and have pics of me in front of this first building! Love from Amsterdam, NY.
Worked in Mohawk furniture while in college. Absolutely terrifying work conditions with people regularly losing fingers to poorly running equipment. Also witnessed large band saw blades shattering at high speeds sending shrapnel everywhere. Needless to say it motivated me to complete school.
Great video's nice job totally enjoy
This was great
I want more!!!
We tour Willard every chance they give the public, my grandparents and great grandparents worked there!
Awesome video
Im from Rochester ❤ this video
Thank you
You should go to the New York State Inebriate Asylum in Binghamton NY .
What about the New York State psychiatric hospital that they're tearing down now in Poughkeepsie New York?
do you remember what its called?
Part 2 pleaseeeee!!!!!!!!!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Talk about the abandoned IBM facility in kingston new york, it is going to be turned into a battery factory soon so check it out quick
Overlook is cool. And so is the town of Woodstock if that's what your in to. There was a cool abandoned hotel at Alder lake too we used to play paintball in when I was a kid. And theres another one just below the entrance to Belleayre Mtn. Built around the same time as the other too but still solid enough to explore.
Yes it is really cool I've climbed overlooked and been in the building. It's not off-limits to the public as it's part of the trail. You just have to be careful.
Ohhh my high school was in silvercreek and we played at the old one so cool it got mentioned cool thankd
fun fact, ive been to willard, part of that facility is now a "shock" camp ran by DOC, also guanda and collins, as well as oneida cf... oneida is now abandoned...not sure on the others. ny used to have a plethora of mental hospitals
The whole northeast region has tons of old abandoned buildings, i remember the old abandoned amusenent park a couple miles from UMASS dartmouth masdachusetts, back in 2002
If you go to Staten Island, Willowbrook Hospital is very well known as it's infamous for the urban legend of Cropsey. I even know the intersection of one of the inactive buildings!
Groosingers and nevele are two of my fave abandoned resorts.
I think both are demolished within the last few years. Jp videos did videos of both.
Buffalo central terminal is somewhat being restored and is in contention to be made the new station for Buffalo because they are replacing the old Amtrak station
Do you know if it's still explorable?
Really? It’s so haunted 👻🚂
Seaview Hospital in Staten Island would be a good one to cover.
I hike and jog at kings park and pilgrim state, that place is now a state park, and I’ve been in just about every building on the site
I went to the Nevele when it was still operational.
Always remember the ads on TV 🎶At the Nevele🎶
Me, too! I was a kid. Borscht Belt.
WOW WOW WOW .!!!! U HAD the sliver creek school on your list . !!!! it is very near to me . AND YES EVAN TO THIS DAY it yet stand barely . i do say no one to go there it is very unstable . some of out wall on parts of the upper sec have fallen and trees r growing on it roof !!!! it could falll any day . VERY STABLE . but u can drive to it as route 20 runs right by it but do not go in . many neighbor alll around it .
Hey pilgrim state the abandoned one is in kings park the one that’s still running is in Brentwood
The land around Broadalbin is cursed, and has been long before the first fire. Before the Mohawk plant was even built. There's LOT of Natives buried there, not to mention the atrocities committed by early settlers, and the blood they spilled. Some friends and I ATTEMPTED to camp out there years ago, and won't go into detail, but the shit we experienced was enough to send 4 grown men sprinting into the woods without any of our gear. We all sat in the car, waiting for the sun to come up before going back for it.
Weather it was people, or paranormal, (We could feel bad energy the min we arrived) I haven't been back since.
Ive lived in Silver Creek. They're still talking about making that school into apartments
This is what they took the land for...to build on it, to destroy it...and let buildings sit and rot?!?!
Gotta add JN Adams Home in Perrysburg, NY
Ok Ok very good
Beware of the slasher Kings Park he's always on the prowl
JNA in Perrysburg
Is there a part two 🤔
Anyone close to Ravena??? We should do this.💯💯💯🥰🥰🥰
For future reference Boss, it would be helpful if you said what county these places are in.
I've Been to Buffalo Central Terminal.
Ghost Hunters did two episodes there 👻
@@samanthab1923 yup they did 👍
I’m from Broadalbin
Rattlesnakes???😄😄😄
Yes, lots of rattlers sunbathe near the peak of Overlook Mtn. Unsuspecting hikers resting on the rocks have been bitten.
Abandoned one flew over the cuckoos nest why
What a disgrace 😤 😔 😒
you need to come up with some new videos
Your information is WAY incorrect.
interesting but don't speak so fast!
Dude. Love your videos but your pronunciations are horrible! In this day and age, you should have no excuse getting it right. Other than that.
Another trash list
Like for Part 2!
