@@screamscenereacts the plank wasn't meant for John and Carlos but for John and Amanda cause it was a complete random for Carlos to show up and John said an unforeseen consequence

I love how ready John was to give up the whole jigsaw thing when he had hope of being cured and able to live a life without the cancer. This chick was the imperial state building on the camels back
True! John's cancer was what triggered this whole thing in the first place - the resentment he felt as healthy, able bodied people continued to make bad decisions. But since that was gone, he didn't feel that resentment. But alas, things didn't turn out so well...
The blood boarding trap was meant for Amanda and John. The kid was John's only miscalculation and decided to take the much longer suffering to spare the kid. Also sucks you missed the amazing mid-credit scene
It would have been great to include my reaction to the mid-credits scene, but I have scene it and it was AWESOME! Oh yeah, that was John's plan all along to make them think they had the upper hand. Amazing twist there.
How was that meant for them two? sorry no. John is a smart guy and all his so called helpers would have had these people in traps and investigated as soon as he was pulled out that taxi at gun point. Dr g was involved whole time. Plus why didnt Amanda go Mexico with him anyway? Do not forget people this movie is set between saw 1 & 2.
@@MissMonsterMash it was meant for Amanda and John because he wanted to give Cecilia the false impression that she was winning by torturing both of her captors. that's why Cecilia's bf says "who was supposed to be on the other side of the platform with you?" it was never meant for Cecilia to actually be in it, it was a diversion so they'd go into the room with the trap that was actually meant for them. The traps are supposed to be straightforward this movie takes place between saw 1 and 2 before the traps got all elaborate. And you really said this movie was on par with Jigsaw the worst one 😂😂😂 This movie is leaps and bounds better than jigsaw
With X being in between 1 and 2, this starts a few weeks from where 1 left off. So John was already Jigsaw at this point in time. He was still looking for ways to get better and was running out of options. John had one last chance at happiness and was robbed of it. That's kind of why he tore out his sketch of The Rack from Saw 3 out of his book. He truly believed that these people were legit. He possibly wouldn't had bothered to test anyone else had it all been for real. But once he found out the truth, whatever hope and happiness he had left vanished. This is John at his most angry and for good reason.
@@screamscenereacts it is a strong possibly that he wouldn't but I wouldn't be all that surprised if he had still went through with it even if he was still cured since he still believed in what he was doing was for the right reasons, even if they're misguided.

I didn't like that the doctor survived, but for me it makes a lot of sense to think that maybe that's why Amanda's traps were impossible, because often people she considered didn't deserve to live had a chance in John's traps
Ugh, I agree wholeheartedly! Like, I don't think her surviving would give her some sort of epiphany and turn her into a good person. She absolutely deserved to be taken out. Gruesomely!
I think it leaves up a good chance for her to think since JigSaw is dead, she can go back to her old ways. Only for her to go up afainst Dr. Gordon. Which would be fun to watch.
@@KrystalTwilight Ooh, that would be fun! But I think this new one starts off a trilogy of events before the second film so we're gonna stay in this timeline a bit longer. :)
I'm not someone who condones or supports violence, but scamming terminally ill people knowing that they won't be alive long enough to do too much about the situation is more fucked up than John Kramer putting Cecilia and her group of con artists in the traps we saw them in. I don't feel much sympathy for Cecilia whatsoever. Gabriela is tragic and I feel sorry for her, and I have the most sympathy for her out of all the con artists in the movie.
Agreed. I think Gabriella ending up the way she did proves to John that some people just cannot be rehabilitated. Which is why it was so confusing why Cecilia ended up surviving in the end.
