    • @Michael_the_Servant

This story, as many others, is a story about a spiritual insight into what happened in the Heavens, and what is currently happening. The woman is representing a spiritual group of believers that is no longer in existence. The 600 men left over is the parallel to the 600 men with David. The 400 men who get wives is the parallel to David’s 400 men who are not weak. The 200 who need wives from the festival, are those that stayed behind. While it is possible that this story in Judges really happened, I am more likely to believe this was not an actual event, but rather a metaphorical prophetic word.

They only hear their desires and think of satisfying themselves....some consequences last a life time and longer. Even if God does forgive you, you still have to face the consequences.

Allen! I truly hope you read this. Don’t ever stop making videos like this. Biblical videos, that help us understand the Word and why each book within has been preserved for us. This is imperative for our walks. I think a lot of the failures of the church right now are due to biblical ignorance and “believers” not reading the Word. I pray for understanding and wisdom before I read and I know that He has given me the gift of teachers such as yourself. There have been many times that I’ve been discouraged when I read something very challenging and I go to my elders for guidance but instead of receiving any, I get a very generic response or “this is what the study Bible says”. We need to be better equipped on the challenging, such as slavery and exactly what you taught us in this video. Especially!! For our youth. We need to give them more credit! their questions are valid and we have been entrusted with the truth. The Bible says that we must always have a reasoned defense for why we have the hope that we have. An apologia 🗡
Once again thank you and keep em comin, God Bless

All my life when reading through the Bible i could FEEL that 19th chapter in Judges coming up with pure dread! I've been so appreciating you taking on the tough topics (& blowing away all the fluff in which theyre cushioned), but when i saw this come up, i knew EXACTLY what story you were going to tell... & honestly, i do have a past that could be triggered, so I waited awhile, but came back to listen (I'm ok🙂). @@Talletctotally agree. The concubine returns to her father house might have been because the Levite abused her. Her father wanting him to stay longer, appears the father was aware what might happen to the concubine when she got home. The Levite giving her to the men to gang rape is a pattern that abusers do currently, i.e. revenge porn, gang rape. This is to re enforce most abusers beliefs that women are objects This is quite upsetting but domestic violence was and still occurs. The husband lying is the same thing abusers and their proxies do. I am really glad you did this summary of the story from Judges, and your preface/warning was well done also. I think it's a great story form the Bible and not one that most churches or preachers ever talk about. So applause to you again for bringing it up and out. There are so many parallel lines to this story in History all over the world. First thing that comes to mind is when the cops bang on someone's house door to arrest someone (especially in America) and why there are so many people who are scared of the cops and do not see them as "heroes" but as villains (who have the power with a gun) to rape, imprison, and torture people. Sometimes people steal or abuse or rape (not cops) and the other people don't know what to do, so they call the cops never thinking that the cops could be just as evil as the evil they want to get rid of. It's a catch 22. Who can we call? How can we save a victim or ourselves? It's tragic, and scary, and this story reminds us that we really don't know what to do. Can you imagine if someone sent a corpses body parts in the mail to the killers today? It would be shocking. Yet I was not shocked when you explained that part of the story, in fact I was smiling because the man who sent those body parts was putting their sin and their evilness right into their faces and saying "Here, look at what you did" and I think that's perfect. Actually, in my mind I could think of even more shocking things to do, but I wouldn't knowing full well of the consequences and trying to live my life longer so that I may experience more joy and pleasure after having spent the majority of my life on work and lies and sadness. I believe in God, Jesus, and the afterlife. I believe that the Bible has very important messages that can always show us what's going on in the world if people are willing to see the parallel lines. I do not think that the Bible is the only story or word of God. I think it's even bigger than that. However, I am worried about the world and for myself and people like me. Technology is becoming a monster and even while I use it to send this message to you, I'm fearful of these cars that drive themselves, and the talk about getting rid of cash and coin, and the desire to put apps and credit cards into the skin of humans. it's getting insane and I want to run to the hills and escape what's happening.
