  • We put this mower in Long WET grass, standing water, & places I've seen a Commercial mower FAIL! Just because its one of the "best sold" residential mowers doesn't mean we are going to be nice or play nice. We will look at cut quality and construction. I want to see why Gravely is statistically one of the best selling residential mowers in America. Sponsored by Gravely but Not edited or even viewed by them before release. Basically they had no clue or control over what I say.

Great video. I’m 35 years in the landscaping, mowing, and pesticides/fertilization business. Commercial snow plowing. We like Ferris mowers. I’m 51 and still hitting it. My father established Meisenzahl Lawn and Landscape in 1984. I took it over in 1998. My Dad is 78 years old and still hops on a Ferris till around noon. The best part of the morning at the shop with my Dad and the crew is this... Dad would say “don’t be afraid of raising the blades boys if the lawns tall”. He likes giving orders, well... he has that right. Anyway, I love your videos. Stay safe.

Both mowers ARE tanks! I got hit head on by a drunk coming home from a days mowing. Trailer full of gear. Mower took it like a champ, only had to replace front forks as they took the brunt of the wreck.
Couldn't agree more with the butter smooth controls.

Most of it was 8'-10' Dogfennel mixed with grass 3 ft.+ and even young scrub oaks. Cut the entire property down to 3.5-4" I was impressed with how well I was able to take it down. The ZT HD is definitely suitable for commercial use. I use it for my business, the Gravely is built like a tank, has the same frame and spindles as the 'commercial' (Pro Turn) models, the only difference is the engine HP and transmission torque which is a little more on the Pro Turn's. Maybe the HD isn't the best choice for huge properties/contracts, though it would do fine, but it's definitely more than good enough for a bunch of houses every day without fail. I love my Gravely.

This ZT HD 60 was my first mower starting my lawn business last year and it does great. I did have a drive belt stretch at 170 hrs which was odd but other than that no problems. I do think the motor will be the biggest draw back in the long run.

I have the same mower. It had a bad belt shake when I got it and my dealer/gravely retrofit it with an anti-vibration kit. It made such an improvement I posted a video of it (and I don't do videos). I love it. I looked at several brands and no other even came close in that price range. I've been very impressed with some of the design features.

This mower is a beast. I have a 60 inch zt hd that I'm mowing 8 acres with. I'm on year two with it with nothing but routine maintenance. Also I was told to not have the throttle at max when engaging the pto because it stretches the belt.

Gravely has been around for years....I had a bobcat and wanted to get a new one so I went to Bobcat and looked at the 60...12k and this was like 7yrs ago I believe. So I was like omg so I went and looked at the rest of the brands and my local hardware was a big Gravely dealer so I went by there and was shocked. 1st off the bobcat and Gravely,s deck is built same way same gauge steel and both are chain hung decks...both had the same motor spec for spec..only difference was grease fitting points. Gravely is sealed and bobcat had all the normal locations for grease points.....commercial pro 60 at that time was 7k......I was shocked that compared to a 60 in bobcat same steel deck and motor and all around machine it was 5k difference. So I bought the Gravely and it has been a beast of a mower ever since and the ones today with all the upgrades and they have went with I mean there a superior mower with great power at a awesome price💯💯

i have one. it has REALLY good traction. I can mow sideways on a pretty steep 45 angle and it doesnt want to slip down. I own a small lawn care business and I cut 15 acres a week with it. the only thing i dont care about it, is its really slow and doesnt always cut the grass good. Although it will cut through wet and tall grass easily!
