I just got my first Bearded dragon and found this video by luck, I have learned so much. I worked as a Nature Tour guide in Australia years ago and wanted an animal that reminded me of that time.
My Yoshi is 4years old and he is a bit spoild by his previous owner, I did alot of research before and are now doing it because of who he is.
Thank you for a great channel 🤩
Completely fascinating!
A great wealth of information; thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Have listened to Ron on many podcast. This is awesome to hear from Heather. She is a breeder to aspire to
Definitely I found her very inspiring
Great podcast!!! Great channel!!! Glad I found ya 🦾🙌🏻👌🏻🤙🏻
Just bought a dragon from Heather. She’s “local” to me. Great to see the two of you together.
Id buy from her too if i were local! Thank you we really enjoyed having her on 😊
@@ReptilesandResearch she’s been great. Would highly recommend. As always, keep up the great work
This is such an incredible and informative episode!! One question that came up for me during the discussion of leaving beardies without food on short vacations ishow long do you think you could leave a healthy baby who is 5 months plus without food? A few days? A week? This is something that I'd love more insight on. Thank you!
Our girls are three years old. They get herpivite on bug days, for puff that is once a week and for peaches it's twice a month.
Powerhouse channel! Thank you for all the hard work. Quick question.. would you be able to do a deep dive (or something similar) on Cuban False Chameleons? Its super hard to find any consistent information on them and I would really like to give mine the best life possible.
Thank you I’m glad you enjoy it, funnily enough we spoke about Cuban false anoles with Frank Payne, I’m yet to edit it but it’s on the way. We will get more anolis guests on in the future though too 😉
@@ReptilesandResearch awesome! I'm really looking forward to seeing it. Thank you!! ❤️
I'm in Jersey and I keep my dragons outside in the summertime and huge 8-ft x 8 ft by 4 ft pens and they love it
That’s fantastic wish I had that kind of space!
I’ve listened to Heather a few times on other podcasts. Calling her a savant does her an injustice because she has put the work in and is brilliant. I don’t keep Beardies anymore but this episode can be useful to any keeper of any series. You can see why Ron is so successful too, having Heather around to guide him😂
Also Arcadia needs to do better at getting their products distributed in the US and NA market. Breeder bags would be nice too.
She has the perfect philosophy to take notes from for sure!
You guys rock!
Speaking of rocks can you speak on heating pads or heating rocks?
It’s just like plant care. When asked how often to water a particular plant, there are so many variables. This makes a one sentence response impossible.
I know where my next beardie purchase will be from.
I bought a “red morph” from petsmart 2 weeks ago. After doing a TON of research I knew exactly what I needed for him, but didn’t know that buying from “big box stores” was a no-no. He’s been fine so far. Completely typical as far as I can tell.
I’ve had good experiences with guinea pigs and fire belly toads from petsmart.
Fingers crossed my beardie is fine, too.
But I’m sure my next beardie will be from Fairy Tale dragons. Probably a zero!
So what about hurricanes and tornadoes? What does she do then?
Answered in the video
I don't breed beardies, but still found this interesting
Some of the mentality can be extrapolated to other species for sure. It’s really uplifting to hear how Heather’s breeding for health!
@@ReptilesandResearch absolutely
Clearly, color takes priority over other attributes among some of these breeders. They get a new morph and inspect the color of it as though the dragon is an inanimate object. I have no interest in these sorts of breeders and morphs.
