    I feel for the horses. We get sand blasts more often in Lincolnshire aspecially near the coast. The wind is 40mph where I live

    Blackpool council take note - to have those horses working in those conditions is abuse and cruel. If this is acceptable in your town then you need to sort yourselves out.

      @@nigeljohnston1148 they are cart horses not show ponies! How do you think horses lived before they were "domesticated" by humans? They would have been out in the wild exposed to the elements, not kept in comfort in a stable being groomed!

      @@stephanieboond1564 if the horses weren't happy they wouldn't be pulling the cart. Have you ever tried to control a stubborn/knackered horse? How do you know they aren't being fed and watered? They aren't skin and bone so obviously are well fed. They are horses specifically reared to work hard like certain breeds of dog are bred for specific tasks. They are tougher than you think.

      Agreed, but unfortunately the people who own them, don't give a s**t about them, as long as they are making money! that's why I would never ride them when in Blackpool no matter what! If they aren't getting rides, they won't put the horses (and donkey's on the beach) through what they do!! AVOID if you love animals!!!

    RSPCA investigate why the horses are subjected to those conditions.Humans have the choice.Horses do not.

      Imagine fighting the First World War with you types around! You would be speaking German now. Millions of horses were used in WW1 and helped to beat the enemy. Horses are tough.

    Thanks for braving the weather Stephen, another great video. Will never understand why they would put up a marquee with a big light display on the prom, they should have put it further back. Felt for the poor horses, they should have stopped when the weather deteriorated further. Xx

    I remember this sort of sandstorm in the 1960s. Dad would get us up at about 5.00 a.m. to walk on the beach, obviously depending on the tide. How it hurt my legs as we wore skirts and socks then. Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Thanks for going out in that sandblasting event and sharing the video. 👍

    Hi new subscriber here to your channel, I feel so sorry for the horses as there made to work without a break.i once asked one of the horses owners to give the horse a drink of water, the man was quite rude and said I need to mind my own business, there was steam coming off the horse, and the poor thing had all white froth around and inside it's mouth. They do get overworked.

    Stephen..Thank you very much indeed for all the work that goes into the makings of each and every video.myself and husband went to Blackpool walking along the sea front my right trainer stuck to the floor hubby askede why i couldn't move, because my trainer was stuck to the ground,i was a mixture of chewing gum,candy floss and orange drink that i had trodden in.weve got a new car and no way could i of got back in the car with all that nonsense all on my trainers so had to buy a pair of flipflops 😅 love 💖 Blackpool.been going there since the 1960's Thanks again for the video 😊

    Great walk around and very interesting and nice houses so close to the prom hope you got home ok and safe Stephen but would like to say thanks for the stuff you do for us even in major storms but have to say when you were on the beach and showed the illuminations from there they looked absolutely amazing and just fabulous even walking along the prom really enjoyed so colourful and great shot of the ABC train👍Thanks again and take care until next time 😁Pauline from Blackpool living in Canada 🍁

      ​@@Demag.FrederickGeorgeES I'd take snow over the wet and wind here, it's a nightmare in winter. Cold, wet, salty, windy and humid is a deadly combo if you're out in it for long. Down jackets don't last 5 minutes, they should stress-test gorete here 😂

    What's gets me Stephen is how selective this storm was, you have bravely shown us what it was like in Blackpool yet here in West Yorks we got hardly nothing yet going into North Yorks they got it quite bad. Weird 🤔 Thanks again Stephen.

    I used to own a house in the posh area (as you call it Stephen) on North Prom in St.Annes this is the weather I remember most, I always lost roof tiles and spent half of the next day clearing sand from the front yard.

    Yes Stephen the Gales have been bad here 😅 I've been out picking neighbours dustbins up that been blown over. I was surprised at the people out and about. Another great video Stephen thank you 😊
