What an amazing backdrop to have but I guess noisy during the day! Fair price by the looks of things!
Not sea facing it was quiet
Glasses upside down is the correct way to store them as long as they are on a matt where air can get into the glass. Firstly it stops dust getting into the glass if it sits for a while, Secondly it means (more as a bartender like myself) we pick up the bottom third of the glass keeping prints away from the the top third where customers will drink, Thirdly if they have been recently washed it stops water gathering in the bottom and leaving water marks.
Also keeps bugs out , if that is an issue!
Was there ever a more detailed account of how to arrange a glass? I salute you.
The reality is that most people don't keep the bottom of their cupboards particularly hygienic. In this case it might be okay as those are presumably disposable coasters.
Nevertheless, that being so with most cupboards, this means the part of the glass/mug/whatever that you put your lips to is smooshed about in the dirt. That's got to be worse than whatever it picks up between uses if let upright (the same stuff that is always falling and then breeding on the 'floor' of the cupboard).
Of course if you have proper glass holders that hold them upside down and the lips not touching anything (as in most bars) then that's clearly better.
I always used to store my glasses upside down when i was single, but when i got married, my wife insisted on 'right way up', (i think she said so they don't trap stale air), but now that she does the washing up and putting away i don't give a bugger which way they stand :).

Thanks Tim, my daughter has been trying to persuade us to take a trip to Blackpool to go on the big rollercoaster, to be honest we've never fancied going as we thought it looks a bit rough. After seeing this video Im definitely booking this hotel for a weekend it looks lovely.

Blackpool is extremely rough in my experience, but if you’re just going for the fair and maybe to visit the seaside it’s alright x
@@sarahelizabeth2359 Thank you for the warning, my daughter really enjoys rollercoasters and fast rides. We're slowly making our way around the country trying all the seaside mini theme parks. we usually stay for 2 nights, most of the places we've been to have been a little rough, there are aspects of these towns that are run down and tired looking and they do tend to attract the homeless and drug addicts, although some have had an injection of cash and are starting to look very smart again as I imagine they did before people started going abroad for their holidays.
Purple and green are two of my least favourite stand alone colours, but put them together and it really works… the hotel corridors are some of the nicest I’ve seen, really impressed with this place… I’m with you on the extra charge for parking, that’s definitely becoming a thing here in Australia as well unfortunately… Cheers Tim 👍

They haven't put two single beds together, divan beds come in two separate sections
Stayed there twice and I'm pretty sure these guys twigged to who you were, getting that view without selecting/paying for it and also the welcome snack. Annoyed me at the end of covid though when the bar was closed and they would only serve alcohol by room service but with a £12 charge per order. I said how about if I order 2 rounds of drinks in a go, some pizza and some chips for my family of 4 for about £40 but they still wanted to charge it so refused and went somewhere else to drink.
Totally agree- I always like to double check on trip advisor to see if the same treatment is given for all guests?

that's honestly not a bad price for the night, for how lovely the room was! I've paid a very similar price for a room in Blackpool before and the place was absolutely shocking in comparision

Great video as always Tim. That hotel looks good, I do wonder though if it is noisy being right next to the park? But then I suppose most would only be there overnight. The welcome dessert is a nice touch but I wouldn't eat it, it could of been there for hours....the heat, dust, insects etc 😳

Great video as always! The bed wasn’t 2 pushed together - just a split divan base which is quite common for larger beds.
Beautiful hotel room, not sure what came out of the shower head but could have been rust? Definitely plenty there for you to stuff your suitcase with!

You should stay in the Strand Hotel in Eastbourne, East Sussex. I booked it thinking it was a fancy place for my partners birthday a few years back and my god, it was awful...i do wonder if its any better now! The reviews are interesting...

Lovely hotel but pricey we paid £54 parking as didn’t know you could book in advance we didn’t have breakfast or dinner as plenty eating out options and room service charge you an extra £7.50 so was cheaper to have food delivered I think the parking put you off as it’s not even secure I do like the aircon and mini fridge these are a great facility

Many thanks for doing the Boulevard Hotel Tim. Looks absolutely brilliant. I'll need too decide which of the pleasure Beaches two hotels to try when next in Blackpool. Normally I stop in the Premier Inn at North Pier. Have you ever reviewed Forshaws at North Pier? I know it hasn't been getting that great reviews and I know a couple of staff members put me off stopping in it last year and said to book into the Premier Inn as it was cleaner.
It's hard big blue is much older now but better atmosphere In my opinion

There's more luxury here than one would use if just staying one night. It's very inconvenient that the hotel entrance to the park is only open for one hour, and I agree that paying for parking is a rip-off. While this hotel may be worth the price if you have deep pockets, I'd probably opt for a place that's less extravagant.
I mean come one, that welcoming message in chocolate and handwritten note from the general manager was definitely a RUclips-thing and not something they do to everyone (just check tripadvisor, no one else mentioned it). It does paint the video in a different light if Tim's getting special treatment (not that it truly matters, but some honesty about it would go a long way).
Looks impressive. I'd stay there.

Considering it's a luxury hotel,...I was kinda surprised it wasn't more expensive. I have paid more in 'lesser' places.

Loved going on the Pepsi Max Big One back then,...haven't got the iron constitution for rollercoasters nowadays though 🤢

Hi Tim ! Nice room quite a posh place for Blackpool. I think the bed is one they come in two half's for easier movability you just put it together. The glasses should be upside down to stop dust etc . Nice but I wouldn't stay there cos it's in Blackpool lol 😁. Thanks for sharing with us. Love to you as always Tracey 💕 xxxx

As for the £10 parking....Try looking at it another way...
Arrive without a car its £140 per night, but arrive with a car and park it secure and safe in Blackpool for £150 per night, sounds a better offer?

looked great tim but the snakeskin lift freaked me out, my biggest fear is snakes, i agree that shower was a bit odd and those black bits , just yuck, apart from that id love to stay there.

The fire alarm wake-up...in my experience thats someone who has just woken up and lit their first cigarette its happened to me loads of times. It looks a good hotel for the money although the breakfast was a bit spiteful. I agree about paying for hotel car parks too its a bit of a p take really.

Impressive hotel. I thought it was odd with the dirty shower head. The hotel seemed to go to the extreme ensuring everything else was perfect....suppose its the one small bad thing they hadn't picked up on until now. Great review.

The shower should have been run before you got there, The hotel should run the taps and showers once a week to get legionnaires bacteria. Black bits look to me as if the shower had not been run for some time
GM does not write welcome letters. Most likely someone at the reception, or they find some newbie to do it. Nobody wants to write WLs. I know, I work at a 5star hotel.🙈
That's my pet hate too when you stay at a hotel then they stiff you for parking generally we don't book the ones that do that now
£140 is pretty good value for a decent hotel (although its surroundings aren’t that salubrious…) the £10 for parking is ridiculous though really

A double bed or king size bed comes in two parts otherwise you'd never get it in the home or hotel it's not two beds pushed together it's a bed that comes in 2 parts 😊 .ps loving your content with your beautiful family

I guess hotels charge for parking because not all guests use the car park, so those who don't park don't pay.

@@WalkWithMeTim All those little extras in hotels - from parking to chocolates on the pillow - aren't "free", they are built into the price. You pay for them somewhere, and it's a balancing act for the hotel between having good facilities and a reasonable night rate. If they have free parking they would add the revenue lost from that to other things to make it up. So, would you rather pay £150 with "free" parking, or £140 plus a £10 parking fee? Which would you choose if you arrived by train?

This looks lush hotel, unfortunately I prefer to stay the other end of Blackpool. £20 for the breakfast was a tad pricey but it looked great. Parking does annoy me too, if it's their own car park, I believe it should be complimentary....sometimes they do not own the car park, for which, I would say that's fair enough.

Absolutely agree £10 to park your car is ridiculous and a further £20 for full breakfast, I hate cold toast, I’d have preferred a buffet. To be honest I expected the price tag of £140, although you could get a week at other hotels, even on the prom at that price. I must admit I do find it surprising that Blackpool gets that type of clientele that would pay for such a luxurious hotel. Great video as per usual Tim, but my budget isn’t going that far, even with one hour VIP Pass at the Pleasurebeach.

But are you really going to get the same quality of accommodation in Blackpool for less? Not likely. I do agree regarding the parking charge. I've never stayed at a hotel where parking is extra, even when we stayed in London for Harry Potter!
Tbh I don't think a tenner is a lot for parking these days, I've paid more than that to park at hotels in London 30 years ago, it costs more than that to park at our local hospital, besides, other hotels very likely do charge for parking, they just include it in the cost of the room.

@@Jolene492 just to be clear, that was 30 years ago, I now live in Norwich and there's nowhere in the city where you can park for a tenner a day.
We stopped here a couple of years ago. Thought it wasn't that great. The sofa in our room stank like it had never been cleaned. The windows were filthy and the breakfast just ok. Think it is way overpriced and overhyped. We also stayed at the big blue, which we thought was much better. Love the vids by the way.

Very nice hotel thats a good idea vip for the pleasure park £140 is not to bad as it was nice but the let down was having to pay for the car shame about the black bits coming out of the shower

From the comments, sounds like they added the special touch of chocolates n cakes etc cause they knew who you were. Seems like regular quests dont get that special treatment 🤷🏾♀️. Think they shud give that treatment to welcome all guests

I actually had to play that back. I was certain you said look at those fuckin’ pink chairs lol. I think they tippled who u are when u booked, personal message from the manager, chocolate and raspberry with another welcome, sea view, yada, yada. Looks great though. Hang on, just got to the safe in a draw. Looks like that could easily be ripped out by somebody that really wanted to grab it?
Next time you’re staying at the worst hotels,, try “the heywood hotel” north shore Blackpool,,, it’s an eye opener,, especially knowing how much you like bedbugs ,,it’s filthy, I wouldn’t leave the dog there overnight

Nice to see that quality still exists. Nowadays people charge quality prices for substandard service, it was great to see you showing off the cleanliness and tidiness of the room.
