People outside of the Philly area just don't understand the passion and knowledge we have for our 4 sports' teams, especially the Eagles. Best fans in the world, hands down!
And the worst fans, when it comes to visiting teams, and People wearing the visiting team's gear. Y'all are the worst, and shittiest fans in all of sports. I know it's not everyone of you, but its the majority, Y'all do seriously suck.
Jaws is a class act. I met him at a trading card convention near Philly and he was one of the people who were scheduled to sign autographs. I only had enough money to meet one player (Celek). Jaworski's crowd died down, so he was sitting and talking to a couple guys at his signing table. I went up to him and introduced myself. I just wanted to meet him, but he saw my camera and wanted to get his pic taken with me. Even the guys who were handling the crowd were nice enough to take our picture. Then he showed me the NFCC ring, which was huge lol To this day he is still the most famous person I ever met. He even went out of his way to say goodbye when he had to leave.
Ron Jaworski .this SUPERBOWL .is for you too .thanks for all you're lotality to Philly.I'm 54 and born and raised in Philly .we never forget you JAWS .thanks again
You created some of the greatest football memories in the 70's for all philadelphia fans. And you and the teams did it with class. The Polish Rifle! Awsome!
I had a chance to meet Jaws at a card/autograph convention several years ago. He was very outgoing and as nice as can be. The picture I have with him is something I will cherish forever. And that NFC Championship ring is still HUGE!!
I remember that Super Bowl Jaws played in after our Eagles lost , and the defeated feeling that we all felt. So, I’m happy for me, happy for Jaws, and happy for my hometown-Philly!!!
Vince Niederman same here! I just got on my knees and it felt so good letting it all out. I'm only 29, I've been a fan since I was 10 yrs old and I can't wait to see that world championship banner being raised at the Linc.
Great to see the love players feel for the Fans and how guys like Jaws, Dawk, Ike, Westbrook, Carmichael and so many more are so connected to Birds forever. It's what I was thinking about all the week leading up to the game win it not just for yourselves or the fans but for all the guys that bleed for the Birds in the past. Their failures made this all the more sweet and I consider the old guys Champs as well.
tears ran down my face during the eagles game winning drive. I kept thinking " this is where it stops, no more heartbreak" . Its like my heart knew this team wouldn't let me down but they still had to play the last 6 mins of the game., and then when they got the strip sack it just all came out.... i really hope eagles fans never ever forget how close mcnabb got them to a dynasty. To this point its the most emotional moment of my adult life.
The greatest part about the win was we were only 2 years from getting our team totally dismantled by Chip kelly..and somehow Howie Roseman..put together a super bowl team...what a bunch of hungry dogs!
It was a miracle, storybook season which was punctuated by Foles winning the SB MVP. I was nine months old when the Eagles won the NFL championship in '60 so imagine my frustration as I was alive but obviously don't remember any of it. It felt so surreal when the Hail Mary pass hit the ground. As an Eagles fan you were asking yourself if this was really happening. I wasn't missing that parade for anything.. a very special day.
We love you, Jaws. If you would have won it all, I would have been too young to remember, but the feeling of the team winning it all this year is amazing.
I will NEVER stop loving Ron Jaworski. Why?? When he went down with a broken fibula, I was 12. And I saw -- at 12 years old -- I saw the look of utter ANGER in his eyes as he was carried off. Anger that he couldn't help his team anymore that season.
Love Jaws! 41 years he's been an Eagle! Does a ton in the community. Owns multiple golf courses here in South Jersey. Has an hour ling radio show every Wednesday on 97.5 the fanatic. He's the embodiment of a Philadelphia Eagle. Cheers Jaws, we all won this week!!! 38 years I waited for this. 3 super bowls in my lifetime. I'll never forget the feeling I had in Jacksonville after SB 39, but SB 52 certainly made those feelings fade.
I actually watched a few games when Jaws was the Eagles QB back when I was in elementary school. I was a Cowboys fan so I hated the Eagles. It's so cool to see Jaws get emotional now, after all these years. His tears are real. I'm so happy for him.
I remember Jaworski when he played for Philly. He had his best years under Dick Vermeil and that defense was very good. He had a bad game against the Raiders in SB XV plus it was some bad play calling in that game, he literally was throwing the ball to Rod Martin of the Raiders.
Oh my God...Dick Vermeil...of course. He is actually my favorite coach of all time. Don't get more authentic than him. He's the only coach I ever saw who cried openly and a lot. So glad that he got to win one with Kurt Warner. He must be so thrilled with Foles and the Eagles having won LII.
Dude, hate to break this to you but my Joe Buck is from a movie I love, "Midnight Cowboy". If you've seen the movie, you'll know that he's from Texas...I'm a Cowboys fan. Get it, jabroni??!!
Jaws, we miss the play breakdowns and intelligent commentary that you brought to "Inside" and MNF. Your understanding of the game is a true asset that executives don't know is missing from many of todays broadcasts.
Ron, I had the Super Bowl XV game program on my mantle while watching the game and was constantly thinking of you and that team. While it's great we won, that victory pales in comparison to what you have come to mean to the city and the region.
Love Jaws and let me tell ya that 1980 team was a GREAT team !! matter of fact they beat the Raiders earlier that season 10-7 and the Eagles just had a horrible day that SB Sunday and the better team did not win that day but none of that matters anymore
kevinboo2000 No, Jaworski himself said he and his team did not play a good game on January 25 1981. Jaws threw 3 interceptions...Herman Edwards made a poor choice going to pick off a pass that was clearly out of his reach and gave up an 80 yard td pass. But his best game was the NFC Championship win over Dallas 2 weeks earlier
I know Keith Clark I remember SB 15. I was just saying how great that 1980 team was and how earlier in the season they played and beat that Raider team 10-7
Kevinboo2000..Don't be like that bro. Enjoy the SB win. Everyone (except the Faketriot fans) were pulling for the Eagles. The franchise has put in their dues. But as a Raiders fan you need to knock that bullshit off about the best team did not win SB25. My oldest brother(Arthur Whittington played for the Raiders and I was at both the regular season game and the SB. Jaws and the boys had a great team but the Raiders suited up 4 HOFamers in both of the games. I was in the locker room after the 10-7 lost to the Eagles. No one in that locker room thought Philly was a pretender. They respected that team position by position. I remember Ted H saying that if we play them again we need to get after them. Its kinda offensive bro what you are suggesting. In the same way that T. Brady was saying "they got one big play". The Eagles put it on Tom and his boys.
I really think you are not understanding what my overall take is here - #1 I love Jaws and Love the Eagles and I was just saying how great that 80 team was and how they beat Oakland earlier in the season and Philly did not display how great that team was in SB 15. And trust me I know what a great team Oakland was. I'm enjoying the SB win and my take had nothing to do with that....I'm really confused that you think I'm saying anything else other than that ??
I love Jaws .... He took a beating every game he played in an Eagles jersey but hung in there...... LT use to brake his back at least once a year coming off the left edge .... Oh Man Jaws was tough
I'm a longgggg time N.Y. GIANTS fan. And I am happy for Jaworski. He had some pretty good years. AND SOME OF MY FAVOURITE HIGHLIGHTS OF WHEN HE PLAYED, and that I occasionally watch on RUclips, WERE WATCHING "LT", Lawrence Taylor, burying him in the artificial turf. And the bounty that was put on "LT" all those years ago really didn't workout to well for the Eagles.... but on a kinder note the Eagles got their first championship in 58 years ..... so enjoy it Philadelphia ! And hopefully the fans won't embarrass the city at the parade on Thursday.
Marc P. .... I have no idea whether 'LT' was using what or when. I leave speculation to others. There's already too many in all areas of life that think they're blessed to be all knowing. So ....
I have to respect Jaws' loyalty, passion and dedication to the city/fans because we used to give him hell at times when we weren't happy with his play. I was at the '82(the strike season) game against the Houston Oilers who were lead by Dan Pastorini and Earl Campbell. The Birds won handily that day but Jaws didn't play particularly well and we were booing him often. Late in the game they announced after a pass completion that he had broken the Eagles all-time passing yardage record and we booed even louder...but as I was looking around everyone were also laughing. Keep in mind this was the strike season, two years after the SB season, and the Eagles were starting to go downhill so the fans weren't too happy about what was going on with the state of the game and our Eagles in particular. Jaws always handled himself well thoughout all of it and decided to live in the area when he retired from the game as he owned numerous golf courses throughout the Delaware Valley. Him choking up in this interview spoke deeply how he and the fans felt about the historic SB victory.
Sometimes he is on the show, during the season, pardon the interruption with tony and mike to give an unbiased opinion on football teams like Steve Young does. Both are very good with their comments. I would have said insightful but unsure of the spelling. Jaws should be interviewed more on espn.
This is also McNabb. We had really high higs and really low lows. Im sure he wanted to win that game. Its most likely the that pushes his resume in H.O.F. status
Jaws you took us their..that's what count s...this was,our third super bowl appearance...a few teams have never been their..i was 18 years old at the 1980 super bowl..i remember well..you got us their never forget that Jaws..i haven't and neither have thousands of fans who were their in 1980..you were one hell of a QB...Never forget that too
Philly has a special relationship with some players..... they choose to live here, our adopted sons. It's only far and few in between because you have to earn a place in our hearts. Not just champions, not stats, you have to have it for us to love you
The players had on all the Eagles greats and Philly greats jerseys at the parade. Chris long had on the AI jersey, someone had the Dawkins jersey the Reggie white jersey. I cried also when we won
Fuckin love Jaws. He truly loves the city, the team, and the fans. Go Birds!
Fly Eagles Fly !!!
👍
People outside of the Philly area just don't understand the passion and knowledge we have for our 4 sports' teams, especially the Eagles. Best fans in the world, hands down!
Agreed 100% and We Love Our Teams So Much!
And the worst fans, when it comes to visiting teams, and People wearing the visiting team's gear. Y'all are the worst, and shittiest fans in all of sports. I know it's not everyone of you, but its the majority, Y'all do seriously suck.
Not an Eagles fan, but hate the Pats so much. So I'll forever be in debt to Philly... and happy for Jaws, just seems like such a good dude.
Jaws is a class act. I met him at a trading card convention near Philly and he was one of the people who were scheduled to sign autographs. I only had enough money to meet one player (Celek). Damn you Ron...You made cry again.. 😅 tears of joy....FINALLY!!!!
I love Ron. Always will.
That got me a bit choked up too, as an Eagles fan . No one understands how good this felt for all of us.
I Was Crying With Tears That Night When The Eagles Won The SB Too!
Vince Niederman same here! I just got on my knees and it felt so good letting it all out. I'm only 29, I've been a fan since I was 10 yrs old and I can't wait to see that world championship banner being raised at the Linc.
@Thanh Nguyen U and Me Both I'm 26 and Me Too Man If I Had That Eagles SB Ring on My Finger I Would Start Crying!
Great to see the love players feel for the Fans and how guys like Jaws, Dawk, Ike, Westbrook, Carmichael and so many more are so connected to Birds forever. 4 days later I still can't believe it.
tears ran down my face during the eagles game winning drive. I kept thinking " this is where it stops, no more heartbreak" . same here I cried like a baby,,,,all the home in the car;)

I'm 59 years old and watched every Superbowl. I was born at Einstein at Broad and Olney. I've cried everyday since Sunday. It hurts sooooo good.
Incredible. You gotta love Jaws. That's real emotion and that's what I looked like the day after. It's over a month after and I'm still on cloud 9.
I will NEVER stop loving Ron Jaworski.
Why??
When he went down with a broken fibula, I was 12. And I saw -- at 12 years old -- I saw the look of utter ANGER in his eyes as he was carried off. Anger that he couldn't help his team anymore that season.

I'll never forget the feeling I had in Jacksonville after SB 39, but SB 52 certainly made those feelings fade.
I was right there with all of them crying like a Baby in US Bank stadium when I saw That Lombardi trophy hoisted!
The fact that that ring only says NFC Champs doesn't lessen the love we will always have for you in Philly Ron.
Felt the emotion!!!! I love my Eagles 😖😖😖😖😖😖😖
I got choked up just reading the caption. #philly4ever
Was only 14 or 15 at a family party in 1980 and everyone was crushed. You can understand his pain. Didn’t get it at time but now I do.
Love you Ron
FLY EAGLES FLY - We love ya JAWS!
One of the greatest human beings. not just athletes to be a part of the city of Philadelphia. Period.
Great player & even better NFL analyst for 27 years. He should still be on TV.
I actually watched a few games when Jaws was the Eagles QB back when I was in elementary school. I was a Cowboys fan so I hated the Eagles. It's so cool to see Jaws get emotional now, after all these years. His tears are real. I'm so happy for him.

Only a jabroni that likes dallas would be Joe Buck...The most jabroni announcer EVER....!
Dude, hate to break this to you but my Joe Buck is from a movie I love, "Midnight Cowboy". If you've seen the movie, you'll know that he's from Texas...I'm a Cowboys fan. Get it, jabroni??!!
Joe Buck Dallas sucks
Jaws you’re not alone my friend. A lot of men wept like babies, and I was one of them.

On a side note did y’all know Jaws team Philadelphia Soul also won a ArenaSuper Bowl this year
Mase J they've won back to back actually
Stanley Smith true
Mase J Afl is so trash now
Both the Soul & the Eagles won this season??? Way to go from a former South Jersey girl!!!! Great to see Jaws. Made me start crying all over again.
CJBOSSIN 97 As much as I love Arena Football, it is kinda very bad now. Only 4 teams now. SMH.
Jaws, we miss the play breakdowns and intelligent commentary that you brought to "Inside" and MNF. Your understanding of the game is a true asset that executives don't know is missing from many of todays broadcasts.
Will be proud telling my kids about the magic of that year. Grew up watching us lose the SB the first time around in 04. Knocked off the evil empire!
Will always love Jaws.. He's the first QB from the Eagles that I can remember.. Fly Eagles Fly!💚
We love you Jaws. We always have. You ARE Philly. God bless you.
Ron, I had the Super Bowl XV game program on my mantle while watching the game and was constantly thinking of you and that team. While it's great we won, that victory pales in comparison to what you have come to mean to the city and the region.
From a Rams fan very happy for the Eagles fans enjoy the moment
Love you Jaws!
Philly LOVES you,Jaws!

I love Jaws .... He took a beating every game he played in an Eagles jersey but hung in there...... LT use to brake his back at least once a year coming off the left edge .... Oh Man Jaws was tough
I woke up crying too Jaws double AA mco ;)
I'm a longgggg time N.Y. GIANTS fan. And I am happy for Jaworski. He had some pretty good years. Was LT doing drugs when he buried Jaws? or was that after? When you're whacked out on coke and whatnot you tend to be more crazy
Marc P. .... I have no idea whether 'LT' was using what or when. I leave speculation to others. There's already too many in all areas of life that think they're blessed to be all knowing. So ....
Happy for Jaws; as a Giants fan, I used to think Jaws wore No. 56, considering the amount of times LT was all over him
DAVID R .... very well put !
Jaws, please... you did fine, you played great, you can't play all positions. YOU'RE A LEGEND EITHER WAY!
7 years later first time I've seen this video. I read the headline and started to tear up. Then when his voice cracked... 😭😭😭
Tickled to death for St. Jaws! :D Tyvm for all you have done for the City of Philly! Cheers!
Yeah JAWS I miss you a lot.....LAWRENCE TAYLOR
Philly loves you jawz thank you for loving us back
Man I love Jaws!!!! I still get choked up thinking about it
We love ya JAWS!
Jaws is a real one. 💯💯💯 He always reps for the city.
Happy for you Jaws!
FYI...Ron Jaworski was a part of the head coach search committee and interview process for the Eagles that led to Doug Pederson hire.
Kudos to the Eagles. Hey if you're going to win you might as well beat the best to do it. Onto next season!
No more Underdogs. Now Topdogs !!!
Him choking up in this interview spoke deeply how he and the fans felt about the historic SB victory.
Freaking Dan Patrick, when did he start doing Radio again, and where has Jaworski been?
Go Eagles!
J.S. Hurst Dan Patrick has had his own radio show for a long time now it's not on the big time channels but it's on 5 days a week if I remember.
J.S. Hurst Like a month after he left ESPN like 10 years ago.
Sometimes he is on the show, during the season, pardon the interruption with tony and mike to give an unbiased opinion on football teams like Steve Young does. Both are very good with their comments. I would have said insightful but unsure of the spelling. Jaws should be interviewed more on espn.
Luv ya Jaws! Eagles for Life! This parade is for you too!!
The Polish Rifle
Ron Jaworski, 1st class baby, 1st class. Great interview, we still love you babby
JAWS, saw you in the Superbowl. Way to show emotion sir!!
This ones for Jaws
Losing to the RAIDERS IN 1980 killed me. I broke a bucket. Losing to the Pats, ripped my heart , beating BELLICHEAT,AND BRADY Priceless.🏈😎👍🏾

We did it man!! WE DID IT JAWS!!
#FLYEAGLESFLY
Jaws!!!! 🦅🦅
The "Polish Rifle". He is the same way in person. A cordial and humble man.
This is also McNabb. We had really high higs and really low lows. Im sure he wanted to win that game. Its most likely the that pushes his resume in H.O.F. status
Jaws you took us their..that's what count s...this was,our third super bowl appearance...a few teams have never been their..i was 18 years old at the 1980 super bowl..i remember well..you got us their never forget that Jaws..i haven't and neither have thousands of fans who were their in 1980..you were one hell of a QB...Never forget that too
I was at rons first game.congratulations jaws
He was called "the Polish Rifle"...and Jaws of course. I watched him play in the day, then came Randle Cunningham, Reggie White, Mike Golic.
What a classy man ...this trophy is for you and all the eagles players before you .
Wtf thumbs down jaws??...and I'm not an eagle fan but I'm happy for him and the city of brotherly love..they deserve it!
We love you Ron!!
Let's go Philly Philly! back to back champs coming soon!
Philly has a special relationship with some players..... they choose to live here, our adopted sons. It's only far and few in between because you have to earn a place in our hearts. Not just champions, not stats, you have to have it for us to love you
I'm not a eagles fan or hater. The jaws being a class act was the num. One reason I wanted them to win. One love jaws
The players had on all the Eagles greats and Philly greats jerseys at the parade. Chris long had on the AI jersey, someone had the Dawkins jersey the Reggie white jersey. I cried also when we won
Born in Buffalo And raised here. Doesn’t give two craps about his hometown
Pats Fan but good for you Ron. Long time coming
Jaws is a class act. I know the man. He's incredible.
We Love You Jaws ... !!!!!!! ...
This man turned the Eagles from a joke into a winner!! He was tough as nails!!
"The Polish Rifle" will always be a Eagle! #FlyEaglesFly

As an Eagle Fan, it was painful watching Jaws and SB 15!
