Oh man, this video was gold, just for the knowledge of attaching safety chains. Total common sense that someone could totally over look. I'm not dumb, but I feel like I could have made that mistake. It's just natural to hook it where you are used to hooking them, with those loops there i can see how someone would think it's designed for that, and maybe it is, guy says they're handles but I don't believe that at all, those were probably just manufactured like that, and the company happens to use them for this build. Hopefully there is a warning on them. This could easily be over looked. Great video tho, super clear and concise, I could see everything going on, don't feel like I missed anything.

I been in drive away for 16 yrs been through many frame rail hitches and i found out that the bolts that tighten into the frame rail hitch wears holes into the steel and in short periods the whole system becomes wabbly and loose
What hitch u recommend and where to get one ?
@yaadieadventuretv Quality driveaway had a good frame rail hitch at one time that had 3 bolts on both end that clamped into the frame but now they sell a hitch that has 2 bolts on both ends i prefer the 3 bolts.

I could not find martins to check out the set up. .. so I have a friend who drives for a few companies, but I noticed some only want you to drive for them. Horizon only wants you working them correct? I thought horizon only did tow away,, but other day I seen other stuff, even seen a horizon big rig couple days ago. Is this how tow away drivers are making it? Are they doing driveaway as well? I know back hauls were none existed. I really want to get into this. I'm looking to order this set up.

Thanks for mentioning torque. I wore out my first Elkhart by over tightening the sway bars. Is 70 lbs enough for the bolts on the frame clamps as well?

I definitely need to know. I was doing a safety check & over tightend the safety nut & snapped the bolt 🔩 😳. Good thing guy at peterbilt was cool about welding a nut on top @ yhe delivery location

You can buy this equipment at most trailer/hitch supply shops or online.

There is a weight limit to that hitch. Used to be 3500 lbs.

You may be able to find it for rent, but we do not have any resources for that.
hate to tell you but you missed some of your bolts and Jam nuts at about 11 minutes. I was always taught to double-check
Jeffrey, this is a quick tutorial and Brian did not go completely through the process for time sake. Yes, you should double check every bolt and nut before pulling away.
