- The Seiko Presage line of dress watches have pretty much become iconic and recognizable due to their beautifully simple designs and their amazing textured dials and I am happy to have one to review in today's video! The model that really caught my eye and I had to purchase was the Green Dial Variant called the "Mockingbird" (SRPD37J1). After having this watch for a little while know I am excited to show it to you in this video! If you're not familiar with the Seiko Presage line of dress watches, I think after this video you will see that they are a great budget friendly automatic dress watches!

The truth is, material possessions of any kind, money, power, etc. never can and never will satisfy our hungering souls. Only knowing, loving, and serving God can truly satisfy.
The only way we can have a real relationship with God, the Creator of the Universe, is through the Lord Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God.

Through Christ's sacrificial death on the cross, for my sins and your sins, and His resurrection from the dead we can have peace with God (Romans 5:1), forgiveness of sins (Acts 10:43), eternal life (John 3:16), and so much more!
In Christ, we can know true joy now and for all eternity.

Beautiful. This line from Seiko is just gorgeous. I love that large crown, too. I’m sure this dial looks even better in person. Some watches don’t show the whole story no matter how well photographed.
Exactly! Hopefully as time goes on I can get better at photography and videography to showcase these watches better! There are a lot of great channels who do this really well!
@@TheTownWatch Absolutely you will. It’s harder than most would think, huh?! Lighting is the biggest challenge. But like I said, some are camera shy. Remember that Starry Night watch? I feel like the darkness of this dial is similar.

I have the Old fashioned Presage watch (with the power reserve and date hands) and it is by far the most beautiful dial I own. Seiko really know what they're doing.

That’s a gorgeous watch man. Can’t wait to try it on my wrist and walk out with it. Would look nice next to my Tissot. It’s seriously very elegant and the dial is indeed the star. The crown is my style being large and in charge. Great review man.

@@TheTownWatch Because they're under spec'd and over piced .Mind you we get charged a lot more here in UK this model is the equivelent of 485 usd on amazon.uk for example and SKX about the same

Great review of a gorgeous timepiece. I wonder how it would look with a whisky strap: would it make the dial look more attractive?
This Presage looks awesome! But I wonder about the relation between price and performance. I am only a few months into watches and already have got 8 watches(I recently posted 2 videos and welcome comments to these). One of them is SNE529P1 which also has a green dial, and I find it very nice dress watch for the price.
It features Seiko's solar function and sapphire chrystal. And that at not much more than half the price of the Presage.
I wonder here: is the automatic more expensive to produce? And is the movement of Presage watches more accurate than the movement of Seiko's 5 and sport series?
Hey! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! Good questions! I probably wouldn’t say the movements in the presage line are more accurate than other Seiko automatics. I do think autos generally cost more to produce than quartz movements. Of course quartz are more accurate and solar is the way to go there! I’ll have to check out your channel!

I just bought this today and replaced the leather with a mesh bracelet. Might change it back ha. When I look at the dial and rotate it, it reminds me of looking into a lake when the sun is directly above you and you see the rays of light shine through the water. Just my take on it haha cool vids. I’ll sub!

I bought this after seeing this vid. I prefer it over watches costing many times more. It is just beautiful. Long Island Watches do a sapphire crystal I may get if I scratch this one.

That really is a nice green. Green can be hit or miss. This would be ideal, it’s pretty dark but is still very bold. Sometimes green and be so dark it’s almost looks grey or black. I also for the most part am not a fan of olive or lime green.
The price is fair. I think we forgot that “Made in Japan@ has a premium over certain other places. I think we are also at a point we’re Seiko wants more for there name.
Yeah, I’m not a fan of all shades of green either but this one is nice! I agree with you about Seiko, they seem to be trying to move up market as I’ve heard others say. Thanks for watching!
Nice watch gonna get this over the skydiving blue version, the subdials and power reserve are nice but clutter the dial, but the ice blue almost reminds me of of a sun rise in Antarctica . Other versions are not for me , grand seiko will be my next stop , however getting a dress watch seems short changed, dont really like thier divers as dont go diving might settle for thier leather band spring drives or automatic version from their elegance Collection. I think its thier dials and simpler peices where grand seiko really shines, really a love letter send back in time, while thier divers are thier to bulk up thier lineup to seem competitive to the swiss as you cant appreciate the beautiful dials while diving under water. Like your vedios. Keep it up Josh.
