Thanks, Keith, although digital togs get to cheat and shoot RAW so we can lift the shadows or drop the highlights in post. Overblown highlights can't be recovered, though. Thanks for watching.
Good to have you out and about again Andrew, and good luck with your ongoing recovery. From personal experience I know how debilitating back pain can be but the more you can get around and get some flexibility back the quicker will be your recovery. Great shots and I particularly loved the Coot at 7:07 surrounded with those lovely circular ripples.
Thanks, Dennis. The hip has pretty much made a full recovery. However, we're in winter cold season now, and I have succumbed to that! I did enjoy shooting with the FZ82. It's still a handy little camera for this type of work. The fz1000 may have better image quality, but it does lack the reach of its smaller brother. Thanks for watching. 😀
That certainly is an awesome spot to spend a day out exploring! Amazing the rings around the ducks in a number of the images...gives me the actually sense of movement! Great stuff!! Bruce and Otis
Thanks, Bruce. This site was a derelict mine and pit heap (waste material from the colliery) when I was a lad and cleaned up and repurposed during the 1990s. Looking at it now, it is a major asset to the village of Hetton-le-Hole. So many different species of birds visit, its great.
Lovely place to explore 😊 like that reflection in the water and the wildlife photos. Some nice ones there. Glad the trapped nerve is getting better now.
Thanks for watching, guys. Thanks to several storms now, our rivers and lakes are quite full. Everything is a bit soggy underfoot. I do like to visit this area regularly, it's only about 3 miles from home and there is always some different bird species to see.
Hi Andy. Great photos. Loved the initial close ups of the grass. Also sorry to hear of the trapped nerve. I had one in my back recently as I’ve a couple of slipped discs so know what it’s like 😬
Thanks for watching Phil. Every time I go there, I come back with a shot of those reeds. 😀 Thankfully, the trapped nerve seems to have sorted itself out, I did get some physio, which helped. It isn't something I will welcome back, though.
4:00 I love the indirect lighting on this subject, i notice the "cones" are on a broken twig which i thought you could move it to avoid the bright green (out of focus) objects from the and the highlights on the grass behind! 4:33 Love this image of the duck, great detail and pose, Ideal 4:42 fabulous action shot! 5:54 beautiful image love the detail including the water droplets 6:44 another beautiful image, brilliant colours can detail, Thanks for sharing
Thanks again for your time to watch and comment on my video Tony. I was really pleased with the duck image at 4.33, I like the light in that shot. I thought I'd include a few action shots this time round. It's not really this camera's forte with its contrast based auto focus and dislike of high ISO, nailing a sharp, noise free image can be tough.
@@AndrewWaltonPhotography Andrew for a "Point and shoot" camera i am very impressed When I critique your images it is as much a learning exercise for me as a commentary on your images, I admire your channel and photography you have succeeded were many have failed, thanks for sharing
@tonymckeage1028 cheers Tony. Whilst it has several modes, including manual, it is hampered by the tiny sensor. But with a bigger sensor, it would have to have a shorter equivalent lens. A 1200 mm equivalent lens on this camera is one of the reasons it is popular, but you have to learn to work around the compromises. I do and try to illustrate that or show that you can use this camera for all those 'Pro techniques' like long exposure, night photography, ICM, etc, with an entry-level bridge camera.
Glad your feeling a little better mate. You might not know but what are the lines across the lake at 2:00 mark? Are they to deter birds or fishermen (my guesses)?...Just wondered and thought I'd ask in case you knew. I've seen it before but no idea why it is done.
I know the lake is used for angling competitions so my guess they divide lake up. There are a pair of swans on the lake along with Moor hens and ducks.
A nice place to grab shots. You did great on the two most difficult birds to expose - white swans and black coots. Nice one, Andrew.

Good to see you back out on the wild, hope the hip is OK now. Looks a lovely place to visit, and some nice sharp bird images. Thanks
Thanks for watching Alex. The hip is much better, then I got hit with a cold.

Nice selection of images mate. Those portraits of the coots and swans were great!👍👍
Thanks for watching Peter. 🙂 Have a great weekend

Thanks for joining the premiere Yasmin. It was a good day to get out and I enjoyed my time watching and photographing the birds.
Good to see you out and about. In America, many places that have falls were dried up this fall! Your location looks very peaceful.

Nice 🦆 at 4:38 that would be a nice print
Cheers 🍻

Lovely set Andrew - really liked the duck at 6:43 and the swan shots towards the end. Hope your trapped nerve is on the mend.
Thanks, Robert. My trapped nerve is much better. Thanks for watching 🙂.

Hi, big like 27...looked like a beautiful day and such a gorgeous sky...loved seeing the Ducks and hope your hip gets better soon...
@elizabethsmart3705 thanks Elizabeth, my hip is much better now. It was a nice day to be out. They are few and far between at the moment.
Why dont you shoot 4k om that lumix ? The videos would for sure popped more 😍
I have switched to 4k in more recent videos.
