Fix Suzuki SCross Rear Door can not be opened

The rear hatch door to my 7-8 year old Suzuki SCross could suddenly not be opened from the outside, and there was no obvious way to open it from the inside.
The Suzuki dealer could not tell me how to open it - but a repair would be rather expensive - hm.
