  • 'Can you do me a favor and fix this?'
Practicing jewellers will hear this often.
Ok but a free polish or repair should only involve the minimum amount of work. Not because of any feelings of resentment but because of common sense to avoid potential trouble.
Online training for practicing jewellers covering safe use, handling and storage of gas cylinders.

I all ways get asked to size up rings for people in my family, but all there rings being gold I have no material to add everyone thinks I can just magically do it with only the ring itself

:/ jewelers shouldnt do free jobs ever tbh whatever "free" jobs i used to do i jus charge a couple bucks for the time spent but time/experience/effort costs money so there's no such thing as a fully free job. wants a quick polish? 5-10$ and do quick passes on the rouge and ultrasonic.
