@addersdewinter7495 1972, and disco was lurking around the corner already. 4 years later I would be wearing my toreador- tight bell bottoms and 4-in platforms and the occasional satin shirt. I disliked most disco music but it's where the women were.
Although I'm a guy I think it was kind of neat to see the woman's perspective in the song. Not a bad version , but the Todd Rundgren version is so burned into my brain grooves that I cannot escape it as my favorite. Plus I have a lot of heavy emotional content associated with that song, after all I was 24 and just gotten married. But that marriage would die an unnatural death just 2 years later when my wife left for the Alaskan Pipeline to become a hooker and a drug addict. Life is strange and so unpredictable.
If the video really was made in 1973, it was about ten years ahead of its time.
Lyn Paul - my favorite New Seeker!
When was this song made? It sounds like a bit of a disco record. Is it an album track?.
this song was recorded in 1972 and can be found on their 1972 album "circles"
