The original Rundgren version is one of my 20 or so all-time favorite singles ever ever EVER, so it's difficult for me to accept a new take on it. But I gotta say, Terry did it very well - nice touch on the vocals and not wrecking the simple power of the song. Nice surprise.

I agree, there is no version that can truly measure up to the original but I just appreciated that Hall didn't totally destroy the simple perfection of Rundgren's classic the way far too many more contemporary pop singers do (e.g., Destiny's Child cover of "Emotion" by Samantha Sang - absolute abomination, I can't be polite about that one. :) )
Terry’s version is so close to Todd’s original that it’s almost impossible to NOT like it..
