Precious watching this today after the news broke about Terry Hall's passing. I'm here trying to find anything to keep him alive in my eyes. He'll forever live on in our hearts, those of us who love his music. Rest In Peace lovely man 🙏🏻. Thank you for the music ❤️.
Love you too re: Terry
Terry, straight up serious guy but gave so many joy. RIP.
Terry Hall - the epitome of “understated genius”. The phrase could have been invented just for him. Miss you man , rest in peace Terry
Terry was the epitome of a cool handsome bastard. RIP. 🏴
Love this, you can see how much Tim loves Terry,R.I.P. Terry Hall ❤️ ❤️ 💔💔💯 your star will shine brightly forever ❤️❤️
He will be in my life FOREVER..
I know Terry talked about his issues and I think it created a shyness in him and mistrust of others. He always looked a little bit restless, troubled and somewhat angry at times, which is a shame because the lads and him brought so much joy to so many people. Thanks for that little interview Tim, appreciated. Shame we lost Terry too soon. Top Red.
Brilliant convo, seeing two legends together, obviously here for RIP Terry
RIP the brilliant Terry Hall…Legend. One of the UK’s greatest ever singer songwriters, and so influential when I was growing up in the West Midlands in the late 70’s, early 80’s. A true genius.
You live on through your music Terry Hall. Rest in power Rudy 🖤🤍🖤🤍
Two of the greats. Love you both. X
Poor Terry must be so frustrating talking to shiny young musicians with no clue of the raw dynamic electrifying days of mods and skinheads…days when music making was interactive, surprising and exciting. I expect Terrys glad to have moved on. But it’s gutting to lose his genius just as it is gutting to lose the exciting and sincere days of innovative unpretentious youth music culture. Love you Terry Hall and thank you for your poetry, music and personal loveliness. 🤍🤍🤍
Beautiful. I could watch that over and over.
What a class dynamic ! Terry Hall is always going to be a big opponent however, always enigmatic ! Long live the 70's / 80's
Terry Hall
I heard the news
At 4.30 a.m. exactly
I knew it would hurt
And it did so badly
A voice that blew away the fluff of the 80’s
A sincere stare
And words that were rich and plenty
I heard the news
At 4.30 a.m. exactly
I knew it would hurt
And it did so badly
An honesty that left you feeling less alone
A life of pain
etched in words that could have been my own
I heard the news
At 4.30 a.m. exactly
I knew it would hurt
And it did so badly
I heard your voice
And it rings in my head so beautifully
I know it will stay, in the echo chamber
Of my memory

God he is so cool. Always looks like he couldn't give a fuck about anything. He's so cool!
would have wanted to listen to another half hour!
"loud and hair gel". Love it.
Omg I would die if was a waitress and waited on Terry Hall . Love him 💕
Rest in peace legend, and legends never die
one thing I do notice about him, it seems like he was going through depression most of his life ..I don't think it's just me ..it's quite noticeable ..I hope he is happy now...
he was sexually abused when he was 12 when taken to france on a school trip, and the other reason is because he was very intelligent and hated what was going on in the world, his Fun Boy Three lyrics reveal alot of Terrys genius, and also his 2 solo albums home and laugh.
oh, this made my day. two favs, Tim asking such earnest questions, but how can he leave the great Terry Hall waiting? Get there early next time, mate!
Im afraid hes not gonna meet Terry again!
The Specials naturally followed on from The Clash in terms of youth culture hybrid of punk, rockabilly and reggae and political statement at the time. This was my entry to youth culture in 79/80 having been a bit young to get into the initial punk scene which was watered down and commercialised by 1979. The mix of Jamaican dub/ska with punk fascinated and inspired me. We will never see the likes of this again. RIP Terry.
R.I.P
Shout out to our Chorlton. Terry Hall will live on.
RIP Terry ❤
RIP, Terry Hall.
That Happy Mondays story is so good .
If Terry did discover today's music more easily ....I have a feeling he'd be disappointed!
Great blokes :-)
Loved that. 🕶
Tim has a look of Jean Jaques Burnell about him
Terry is dead on about discovering new music, even with the Spotify release radars you can still be lazy about consuming it.
"consuming"....oof. Just say "listening to it" and be done with it.
he looks like a cross between lee mack and sean hughes
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
1979 i was a skinhead you signed my albums ted! i was 9 you loved i was a skinhead!!! ur sister Hazell was mums best mate!!
legends. Was and still am a huge Charlatans fan.Was 14 in 1990 and had the mop top Tim haircut lol
haha, same, his wedge was legendary
love them both but that felt awkward.
No handshakes
I didn't think it was awkward. But then I know better than to expect Terry to conform to social niceties just for the sake of it.
I’m a massive Charlatans fan and flirted with the whole Two Tone Scene along with various other music styles back in the day as well including of course The Specials. Wonderful viewing two of my music heroes in casual conversation, two guys who in their own bands have done so much for music. 🙂It’s particularly poignant watching this in light of Terry Halls recent very sad passing. He will be sorely missed. ☹️
What on earth is Fred Perry to do with this? But as it happens, my Grandma used to play tennis against him. They were in the same tennis club.
_Way to short, but any Terry is better than no Terry, also I'm from Wythenshawe and always thought the charlatans were... wait, who_ 😁
Tim burgess gets his eye brows threaded at retreat beauty salon in Reddish, Stockport
🤘🏾
Looks like a ghost town
Life is indeed short. Terry is 80 years old in 22 years time.
Life is indeed short. When I first saw Terry live, I was 14 and my dad was 47, now i`m 51, my dad is 84. Seems like yesterday.
Our time is on loan P.W
Natashahoneypot: 100% correct. It felt most awkward.
Felt awkward but you could tell it's 2 genuine friends who then have to act in front of the camera. They were kinda forced to do something, and it probably felt unnatural to them. You could see though, that they are really good blokes though. Love them both! 2 great artist! Great music never dies!!!
Tim is the only manc in the charlatans! They're from Northwich!
They're from Walsall/wednesbury. My mate used to work with Martin blunt.
which is greater manchester ye dick
Thomas James Smith no it’s not ... midlands ..
@@samcaton3924 Definitely Midlands..
what's the tittle of this backgrounds song?
Terry needs to calm down he's always gets carried away with things.
Ha LOL
Eh !!
In what way
Why does an artist have to be a bum and squat to be an artist. They sound awfully well read
Surprisingly awkward.
