The motion controls are hard to get used to, but are much more accurate than dual analog.The reason it feels hard to aim is because most console shooters have aim assist due to the inaccuracies of aiming with a stick. I think that you'd have a much better experience if you used motion controls.

Once you realize that it's actually not that bad and pretty accurate. Once you add in when to press Y to recenter so that your arms aren't looking retarded it's gets pretty easy from there!

Yeah, that was the biggest problem here. The game was designed around them, and they work very well after you get used to them. If he'd played long enough to get to the higher ranked lobbies he'd have noticed that his opponents actually know how to aim. People need to start giving motion controls a chance. This game and modern Zelda titles are proving that they can work exactly as advertised.

I'll be honest. It went from okay to awesome with the Octoling Expansion for Splatoon 2. Since it's vinilla release, they've added numerous new music tracks, stages, weapons, and clothing for free, and still do. So far, Splatoon 2 has been my favorite Switch title

I gotta disagree with dunsley on this one. If you’re good at motion controls which takes some practice, the game really takes a positive spin. Turf gets boring after a while, so play some ranked/league mode, play with your friends, play player vs enemy in Salmon Run. Missed a lot of things on this one

I gotta disagree with dunsley on this one. If you’re good at motion controls which takes some practice, the game really takes a positive spin. Turf gets boring after a while, so play some ranked/league mode, play with your friends, play player vs enemy in Salmon Run. Missed a lot of things on this one

Never have I enjoyed a video so much that I completely dissagree with.
Shooting the floor was a brilliant idea. It's like Nintendo were the only people to realize that analog sticks are terrible for aiming a gun, and since there's no way to play with a mouse, just take aim out of the equation all together.
And then they realized that gyro aiming makes aiming so much better, and now it has the best aiming of any console shooter, without aim assist.
But gyro aim, that makes the precision equal to if not only very slightly worse than mouse.
Lozicle C. Some people can aim with a controller perfectly fine, some people can't. Not everything is absolute.
Without aim assist or using a pointer like you could do with the Wii.
If they're using a controller to play a shooter they're not perfectly fine. They need help.
