Splatoon will never match the quality of Splatoon 1 ever again. That game was the peak era - and sadly I don't think that era will be ever topped; I don't see myself playing a future game in the series.

If your just top fragging, your not going to progress through ranked. It's honest to god a good system.

Even if people “get lucky on the 50/50,” if they play more they will eventually get back down. 50/50s get closer to 50/50 the more you sample them. Plus, if they rank farther than where they should be it won’t be a 50/50 anymore because they are a detriment to their team

It’s really easy to tell 1 and anything but 1 apart because the graphics are different, and then because I play a lot of splatoon I can tell the difference between 2 and 3 but if you’re playing on the same maps and don’t pay attention to the UI they look pretty similar
When i started playing splatoon 3 i was taken aback by the graphics of the octopus. The suckers felt so real. At that moment, it hit me, i was in front of a masterpiece which could never be surpassed. Im so glad to have my xbox so i can enjoy it with my friends.

First Splatoon game and honestly loved it more than I ever thought I would. Shoutout to the announcer lady on that 30 minute preview video. Watched it two days before launch and no plans to check it out!
I like how the 85% of the video is joking but the rest 15% comes from an actual point about the ranking system - which was closer to Halo 3. Simple and effective. Nowadays it's too much even for casual players, so it's cool to see these features implemented in a good way.
They have to make sure players are not incentivized to lose matches so that they can show better performance for individual rank. That's a problem you face with individual vs team goals. A simple example is quitting a match because you think a lost match isn't as bad as losing personal rank.

I've been begging my mom for this game since the early Nintendo Genesis era, but she wouldn't buy it for me unless Dunkey reviewed it. Finally, I can experience this classic gem. Just wish they had released it to the Gameboy like the rest of the trilogy.
Splatoon 3 has changed my life. Before playing this game, I had lost both arms and half of my right leg and I only had $3 and a burnt sock to my name. After playing this game, I have grown all of my limbs back and am a multi trillion-air. yeah honestly fully agree, been playing Splatoon 3 for about 3 weeks straight and I'm blown away by the graphics, the sheer amount of content, the guns, the 4k textures, ray tracing, the roguelike mode where you need to collect paint buckets or you run out of paint and die. I could talk about its positives for hours on end and thats before I've even downloaded it

My favorite part of Splatoon 3 story mode is when Squiddie said "It's squidding time" and she squidded all those guys.

I like how the 85% of the video is joking but the rest 15% comes from an actual point about the ranking system - which was closer to Halo 3. Simple and effective. Nowadays it's too much even for casual players, so it's cool to see these features implemented in a good way.

They have to make sure players are not incentivized to lose matches so that they can show better performance for individual rank. That's a problem you face with individual vs team goals. A simple example is quitting a match because you think a lost match isn't as bad as losing personal rank.
@@kittenburger_prime fortunately, the game doesn't reward you anything for intentionally losing or DCing. in fact starting from A or S, you legit have to cooperate with your teammates and win or it'll be really difficult to rank up any further

@@Mirage475 The series is incredibly popular in Japan so sales will definitely be much higher there than anywhere else. But I still have no doubt it's going to be the best selling game in the series, considering that far more people own Switches now than back in 2017 when Splat 2 came out.

Splatoon 3 has changed my life. Before playing this game, I had lost both arms and half of my right leg and I only had $3 and a burnt sock to my name. After playing this game, I have grown all of my limbs back and am a multi trillion-air. Videogamedunkey’s review is spot on in my humble opinion, and I believe that this small channel could see some serious growth if he keeps up a trend of reviewing games such as this.

yeah honestly fully agree, been playing Splatoon 3 for about 3 weeks straight and I'm blown away by the graphics, the sheer amount of content, the guns, the 4k textures, ray tracing, the roguelike mode where you need to collect paint buckets or you run out of paint and die. I could talk about its positives for hours on end and thats before I've even downloaded it
